This story is just dull, boring, and pointless. Which means...bad. Yes, it is bad. Very very bad. It's the story of an oddly (slutty- like) dressed Jane Fonda being a bitch and bossing people around sometime in the 16th century, I believe...she lives in some castle, and she has a mini-feud with a family who is closely related...don't even ask me what their names are, I don't recall, plus- they were French names, I think. Anyhow, Jane rides her horse to the other family's house or cottage or whatever it is, she sees her cousin Wilhelm, I think his name is, and she leaves. We see some odd orgy scenes with Jane Fonda and various men and women...we see Fonda in the bathtub pulling on some other woman's nipples (they don't show it, but it's clear that's what she's doing.) Then, Jane meets up with her cousin who is sitting at some abandoned stone building that is all falling down, talking to himself, or maybe he was talking to the owl sitting next to him. Jane falls in love with her cousin, she comes on to him- he rejects her, so she gets pissed and has someone burn down the guy's stables. The guy runs in to save the horses, but he dies in the flames. Some weird black horse comes to Jane's castle and she falls in love with it? It seems her cousin's spirit is inhabiting the horse. Something about a tapestry that she wanted redone after it gets burned...Jane plays with the horse, falls deeper in love with it, then she rides into flames, that are just there in the middle of the fields for some reason, and she dies. The end. No story, as you see...silly plot that really doesn't even exist. Just a bunch of time spent watching Fonda in slutty clothes that belong in a space movie, playing with a horse. Fun.
After seeing the first part, and scanning thru the second story- I turned it off. No way the other 2 stories could be any better than this crap.
The actinf- well, it was in French, so it's a bit hard to tell, and the story I actually watched made little sense, so it's hard to gauge the acting. The story, as I mentioned, was terrible. This was based on an Edgar Allen Poe novel? No wonder I don't read his work! The look of the film? Well, it was grainy and old, so who knows. Nothing spectacular. Just bad.
