USA Today Founder Joins Peace Hippies, Loses All Courage
Comparing Iraq to Vietnam is complete nonsense, as all reasonable Americans know. The founder of USA Today, not a fair and balanced paper in my opinion, does just that in his new weekly column.
It should be pointed out that, militarily we would have won the vietnam war, and that the peace hippies and media elite (Walter Kronkite in particular) underminded the war effort with their usual anti-war, anti-american slogans, their attacks on our service men, etc.
If this war were to be lost (it won't...giving into pressure from the peace hippies won't be allowed in 2004), it would only be lost due to pressure from the long haired, stinky hippies who can't accept the fact that their country might go over to some other part of the world and fight for freedom for others...or that some threats, like those in Vietnam and today in Iraq, are worth fighting against.
Let's stop listening to the peace hippies and the media elite. War isn't pretty, these groups refuse to believe that fact...if we were to listen to these people, we would have NEVER landed at Normandy, because the death toll would have caused the clueless among us to cry out that this war is a quagmire. WWI, WWII, Vietnam, other conflicts that often times go unnamed...they were worse than what we're dealing with today. There were more killed, there were more injured. With Iraq, we're facing a brand new enemy...the islamic facist who has no sense of right and wrong and will bring upon his enemy any number of evils. The anti-war crowd and the likes of the USA Today founder haven't the courage to stand up to such a threat. They too easily fold in the face of danger. Thank God our soldiers aren't afflicted with such morale.
