Monk Characters

Adrian Monk

• A great detective, Monk was once the most decorated detective on the SFPD police department. All of that ended when he lost his wife to a mysterious murder. He has developed a bad case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and it makes everyday tasks difficult. He still strives for the day he can't get back full time at the dept. He currently acts as a consultant to the police, always solving crimes with the help of his nurse and sidekick Sharona Fleming.

Sharona Fleming

• the constant supplier of handy wipes and the on and off sidekick...Sharona is Monk's nurse. She is usually with him most of time, helping him get thru each day, as he battles his OCD...it's clear that she is a true friend and an admirer of his crime-solving talents.

Captain Leland Stottlemeyer

• the guy who is in charge of it all, he has a somewhat close relationship with Monk, tho at times he and his buddy Disher seem more like bumbling cops without a clue

Lt. Randall Disher

• The somewhat 'dumber' of the two cops on the shoe. Disher provides a lot of comic relief.

Benjy Fleming

• Benjy is Sharona's son. He finds Monk to be rather odd, and he constantly mentions how weird his mom's job is.
