Kelly Rowland's song Stole is just downright ludicrous. She sings about a nerdy boy who has no spine, so he blows his brains out at school. Yet, in the song, Kelly says he's the brightest kid in school. So bright he painted the bathroom stall with his blood. Yeah, that's REAL bright. Then, we hear the story of dumbass girl who could have been a star, yet she'll never have that chance now, because she got pregnant. Yea, the guy took control of her mind and made her have sex with him. Finally, we hear about some kid who might have been a basketball star in the NBA, yet he gets shot. Now, I can see having sympathy for him, but the first two? Not quite. I guess dumbass boy who blows his head off should get our sympathy? He was made fun of at school so he kills himself? Yea...good riddance, ya little bitch! One less moron to take the earth's oxygen. And, the girl who gets pregnant? Umm, okay? She was the one who decided to jump on some guy's penis and get knocked up...we're supposed to feel sorry for her? This entire song is just stupid...we're supposed to empathize with two of the dumbest people in school...hardly. Here's an idea, Kelly...sing songs that make sense! Better yet, take your awful voice and your hair that's fifteen different colors and shut up completely...

Insane Woman= More Insane Press Conference

even her hair is insane!

Nutso, Brigitte Boisselier, (who has NO experience in veteranarian medicine or reproductive medicine) who is the science director of clonaid (a group that has NO published scientific articles whatsoever in the area of reproduction/ has no established, reputable scientists on staff- as far as we know) claims they implanted 10 clones, and 5 have been successfully carried thus far, 1 has been born. It took over 200 tries to get Dolly the sheep...the average success rate for IVF clinics is only 40%. This means she is claiming that human cloning by scientists with absolutely no notable accomplishments in the field (or any other field for that matter) have a better success rate than IVF clinics that have been around for decades.

Anyone see this press conference? I think it lasted over an hour! She rambled on and on about nonsense, repeating the same thing over and over...yet she really didn't provide any evidence whatsoever. She said she HOPED the parents would come forward. She also said the following that made little sense: she said the couple that had the baby have a daughter already (a journalist asked her how they had another child if the woman was infertile- she answered by quickly saying the baby was from another man and that the woman remarried), she said the scientists involved in the cloning might come forward, or they might not (wow...so MAYBE the parents and baby will come forward, MAYBE not...and MAYBE the so called scientists will come forward and MAYBE they won't. Good idea...no need for proof! What do you bet she comes back in a week and says the tests could not be conducted because it would put everyone's identity in jeopardy?) She also gave the ridiculous numbers I mentioned before. A 50% success rate? That has to be one of the funniest things she said. That is in NO WAY possible. I will say right now, with 100% certainty that this is a clear hoax. If it were at all possible (no reputable scientist on earth thinks it is), there is absolutely no chance that ANY group would have a 50% success rate...especially not a group of people who think that humans were created by aliens thousands of years ago and that Rael, the leader of the sect talked to the alien in 1970, and that the alien told him all about the creation of humans. One odd thing about this whole thing with the Raelians. Umm...if the aliens created humans in the first place, why on earth would the Raelians want to "create" humans themselves? What, are there alien gods not good enough to do it again? Why would they ever want to do something that they claim has already been done before by their alien rulers? This lady is the epitomy of bad science...nearly as bad as evolutionists who claim man's oldest ancestor is a one celled organism that arose spontaneously out of nothing. This is comedy at its finest, people...

Some people take movie reviews way too seriously, as you can see. :)

my drumline review here

Dear Joshua,
I am the Asst. Flag captain of Pueblo west High School Flag Core in Pueblo West, Colorado. My name is Leah. The whole flag team at Pueblo West went to see Drumline and we thought it was an outstanding movie. I think that you have issues with black role-plays. Not only in this movie but others. being a white girl I think the movie was awesome. White people don't know how to act! You need to not be so rude. You need counseling seriously because your comment sent Cinemark.com was very rude and racial. Next time some things don't need to be said! if you cannot say anything nice than don't even bother.

~*~ Sincerely ~*~

Just a note. Pictures from Christmas Eve coming tonight, as well as the reviews for The Mummy's Ghost and Black Christmas, which will both be posted in the movie section.

December 24, 2002 (Tuesday) 7:20 A.M. CT.

justin clearly has some mental issues!

I just had to mention it again. I turned on MTV, and saw the video on again...and I am convinced, this high pitched voice freak is clearly unstable. The scene above is even scarier than the movie Psycho if you ask me...why? Because it's real!! Atleast Norman Bates wasn't real...but Justin the hack is indeed a real person! Scary stuff...

December 23, 2002 (Monday) 6:20 P.M. CT.

Why is it when there is a murder or something, the police or media or whoever say 'this is terrible, there were children involved.' Why is it worse when children are murdered? Is it because they're defenseless? Nope...can't be. If you're an adult, and some guy comes in with a shotgun, you're just as defenseless as a child! Why then? I've no idea. It seems we have some weird idea in this country (or maybe the whole world?) that children are more important than adults? How is it worse when a child is killed? I think it should be the same across the board. All life is equal if you ask me! Well, unless your Charles Manson, and it's just a shame that his death sentence was overturned, because the death penalty was abolished for a while there...I just wonder why they always say this case or that case is worse because a child was involved.

Oh, and one more thing...why do we give gifts to the postal carrier that delivers our mail, but we totally neglect the trash guys who pick up the garbage? If you were going to leave the trash guys (you think they'd get mad if you called em "trash guy?" I sure hope not) a christmas gift, where would you leave it? Hmm...what about the guys who get the recycling, who drive the big green truck, should they get a gift too? So many things to worry about!!

December 23, 2002 (Monday) 6:00 P.M. CT.

On Special Report with Brit Hume earlier, they were talking about this law, Title 9 I think it's called...it basically says that women must have equal access to scholarship money as men. This means, if they give out 100 scholarships for popular men's football...they must give out 100 scholarships to women. Some schools have to give out money where women make up 60% of the school's population...This has caused problems, because a lot of the time they have had to outright cancel some less popular men's sports like wrestling and gymnastics because they would have to give a number of scholarships to women who don't even exist basically. I guess that's the deal? All I know for sure is that for some reason a lot of sports are being stopped altogether because of this law.

This law is about as ridiculous as the blatantly racist idea of affirmative action. Sorry, Bob, we know you're more qualified for Harvard here, but we have to give your scholarship to this minority who isn't as qualified to meet our quota. What idiot thought of affirmative action anyhow? Whoever it was, may he burn in hell! Okay, kidding...but seriously, he or she is an ass. About this law- this is just ridiculous. First off...women don't need equal access to scholarship money for sports. Why? Women's sports brings a college NO MONEY! Let's be frank here...the only people who care about women's college sports are lesbians and women who actually play the sport themselves! So, why should women get equal access to the sports money when no one cares about women's sports? When do you ever turn on the tv on Saturday or Sunday and see women playing sports? Never! Well, unless it's ABC and they decide to put on figure skating again! So, in the end, it really doesn't make sense to give the same amount of money to men and women. That's not the equality that some ass who wrote the law wanted...that's unfair. It's like being forced to give the same amount of money to the football team as the chess team. That's the opposite of fair. Things aren't always black and white...there is clearly a lot of gray here! They talked to some women who was working to make changes in the law...many support her. She sees is pretty much the same way- the law isn't fair at all. Guess who the person was who was against any changes in the law? They had on a woman from some women's law center. WOMEN'S!! Anything that has the word "women's" in front of it is clearly bad...is clearly sexist. You'd be hard pressed to find a Men's Center for Law! Why? Gasp! That'd be unfair and sexist, of course!! Too many whiny feminists...they pushed equality down the nation's throat and forced us to make them...not equal, but special. I think it's about time to change dumb laws like this that are still in use. If not- the networks will be forced by public pressure into airing the women's volleyball championships in place of the super bowl. I'm sure all ten people that tune in would love that...

Oh, by the way...a group looked at arabic text books for 8th graders that said Muhammed cursed the Christians and the Jews by turning them into pigs...and they quote Muhammed as saying the final judgement will not come until all the Jews are killed. Islam: the religion of peace my ass...

December 23, 2002 (Monday) 6:00 A.M. CT.

You guys hear the news? Alec Baldwin, who happens to be one of the most annoying actors on earth (him and his brothers are all annoying as hell if you ask me) has sent a letter to the city of New York, giving his idea of what should happen at ground zero. Why he should give his opinion, I have no idea? I thought he promised to move to France of George Bush became president? Anyhow...here is his idea. He thinks they should move the Yankees down there. Move the stadium to ground zero, and play baseball on top of the dead bodies! A moment of silence at the beginning of every game...reserve a big section of seats for the victim's families for every game. As Brian Kilmeade from Fox and Friends said, this is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. I agree with him 100%. Alec, do us a favor and shut up! No one cares what you think should happen at ground zero...stick to acting (badly at that)...and stay out of this sort of stuff. Better yet, go to France like you promised!

You know what confuses me? Al Gore says he won't run for president...which I don't understand...he DID win the popular vote. The electoral college is grossly unfair, so in my opinion, he won the presidency in general. That's a whole different story tho. Anyhow...I don't get how in the polls, people are saying it was a good idea for him not to run, and he doesn't have a very favorable rating with most people. Then again- I don't believe in polls. You cannot take a poll of 1, 000 people and spread it to represent over 260million people! That's just silly...so, I think overall polls are totally pointless. Either way- these generic polls say that most people don't like Gore very much, yet more people voted for him than anyone else in the last elections. Weird, huh?

I just saw a new Aaliyah video on VH1. I love seeing new music from dead people. That always gives me a warm feeling inside. I wonder if maybe that music wasn't released before for a reason...oh, say, because she didn't want it to be released or something? And, am I the only one who finds it odd that only black people "miss" Aaliyah? I mean, there aren't any white people in the video, so that must be the case. I guess if I died, I wouldn't want some fat idiot like Missy Elliot who sings about "shaving" her "cha cha" in my video for a song called I Miss You. By the way...am I the only one who finds if a tad bit disrespectful to wear an Alliyah jacket for the video of a song that is all about getting screwed by some nasty guy? Missy fatass Elliot wasn't a friend...a friend wouldn't sing about spreading her legs and screwing some guy while wearing your picture on her jacket and showing banners with your picture on it in the video...sick...

The As Told by Ginger Even Steven's Holiday special is on again...for like the tenth time. Nickelodeon, Nick Toons TV, and CBS all on one day...nice...

I missed Hack the other night. I fell asleep. I was supposed to go garfields to eat for my birthday with my parents and my mom's friend and my aunt and uncle, but I was too tired, so I stayed home. We went out to eat last night too...just my mom and I. Fun.

I have 10 items check out from the library and 7 items on hold. I'm obsessed! I watched Suspiria yesterday...writing a review in a bit. Then, I need to watch The Mummy's Ghost still, and write that review. I have become obsessed with writing movie reviews now to put more content on the movie page. I will be picking up Popcorn on DVD today from the library and will probably record and post the trailer for the movie...in real video format, since it's so small...

December 20, 2002 (Friday) 8:05 A.M. CT.

I finally bought a digital camera last night. It was from Wal Mart...a vivitar. Pretty nice. 1.3 MP, holds around 120 pics at the low setting (which is actually just as good as the higher, but smaller...the highest setting pictures are way too big as it is), records 20 seconds of video (or something like that...I made a 10 second video earlier, and it still had time left), what else? I forget. Basic features like red eye reduction, pc webcam mode, and more. I took a bunch of pictures in my room, and a few outside...I had to take one picture in the car in the wal mart parking lot (it was nearly 3:00 A.M.) to test it out. While I was driving home on the expressway, I wanted to take pics of downtown, to see how the lighting would be, and if the pictures would come up, but- I put the camera back in the box, and I thought it would be a bad idea to try to take it out while driving 55. Probably not a good idea, huh? I will post some pictures as I take them today...I'm going to lunch for my birthday (it's tomorrow) with my mom, so I will be taking pictures of everything, since I like new gadgets and all. Here's a view of downtown from down the street here. It was pitch black, that's why it looks like it does...

evansville, indiana- could this pass as artistic as opposed to low lighting conditions, you think??

December 19, 2002 (Thursday) 12:30 P.M. CT.

Iraqi tv is calling on all arabs to kill american soldiers.
Many people from many nations are saying that Iraq's declaration is incomplete and full of inconsistencies, and that they have missed their opportunity to come clean.
Iraq's deputy prime minister to the UN claims that no group besides the United States thinks it is in breach of resoultion 1441. BUT- as you see, Hans Blix himself, who is not with the U.S. claims the same thing.
Summary? Iraq just screwed themselves over...get ready for war...

To all the peace hippies- does the fact that ALL these people say the declaration is full of holes enough evidence that they have weapons of mass destruction? I bet you guys will come up with some lame excuse for this too, huh?

This all also goes to show you that too many people in the world can't stop blaming the United States for everything. People claim we are bullies, interested in nothing but war...tho, when they need our help, they're more than willing to call on us for help! People need to look at the facts and realize, we're not warmongers or bullies. We are fighting terrorism on all fronts...and it's clear that Iraq is on the forefront of this fight, and that there's good reason for that. They are again in violation of U.N. resolutions. Over 11 years of disobeying the U.N. and the numerous resolutions. I wonder what the peace hippies have to say about that? Shall we let Iraq snub the U.N. for 11 more years? To those who say the U.N. resolutions are responsible for death and poverty in Iraq (and they seem to usually blame the U.S. for some reason- I guess they seem to think the U.N. is made up of the U.S. only??)...this is more evidence that the sanctions are in place BECAUSE OF IRAQ. It's no one's fault that these people are dying, no one but Saddam Hussein. The man who kills his own people...the man who fired scud missiles at Israel (for what reason? clearly the muslim hate for jews and christians)...the man who has told the U.N. he will do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, however he wants to do it...no matter what any country says. This is a madman, people...wake up to reality.

Here is an action alert from FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting) about the "propaganda" they claim HBO used in their film, Live From Baghdad, based in the book co-written by CNN producer Bob Weiner who was in Baghdad during the initial allied attacks, along side Bernard Shaw, John Holliman, and Peter Arnett. They claim that a scene in the story is being used to push a certain fallacious idea...I disagree. Here is the story:

http://www.fair.org/activism/hbo-gulf-hoax.html

Here is my reply to the story:

Robert Weiner, Ingrid, and the crew DO NOT say that the story about the babies being taken from incubators was true. It would be a stretch to say they even went so far as to imply it in the film. They were pissed at the fact that the BBC was reporting that CNN had debunked the story, when CNN really didn't get the chance to report the matter and figure out if it was true or not in the first place! THAT was the reason behind their anger in the movie. You can assume that they were trying to IMPLY the Iraqis were lying, and that the story was indeed true, but it would be only that, an assumption. As mentioned in this article...it's a movie, it's for entertainment. As far as I can tell, the story in the movie mirrors the facts pretty well...as for this small piece of the movie, it's very subjective if you ask me. They said the doctors hands were shaking...which COULD mean the stories of babies being taken was true...or it could have just been an observation that even a doctor was that nervous, and that the story MIGHT be true...at the time, when they were actually in Kuwait, they didn't know if it was true or not, so it makes sense, in the movie, that they didn't know if the stories were true or not. What do you want HBO to do? Change history? If the filmmaker would have changed it to where they knew it wasn't true WHEN they were there, that would be just that- changing history...since, as I said, at the time they clearly didn't know if it was true or not. It's simple to see that this is not propaganda...it's how they felt AT THE TIME. There's no action that needs to take place, because clearly, spreading propaganda is no one's goal here...atleast, that much is clearl to me.

December 17, 2002 (Tuesday) 6:50 P.M. CT.

I was watching Fox News, and on the bottom scroll, this story came up- A 15 year old le*bian (don't want queers finding my site by searching for it) in California is suing the school district for unspecified monetary damages because they banned her from the locker room for a week, because all the other girls didn't feel comfortable changing in front of her. Now...she is clearly open about her devious lifestyle...that means that all the girls probably know about it, which means that it makes sense they would be uncomfortable changing in front of her. Put yourself in their shoes! Would you undress in front of someone you know could possibly be sexually attracted to you? Ho*osexuality is NOT normal...it's a devious, perverse lifestyle, and you tell me WHY we should be forced to accept their lifestyle? Why?! What's next? Sex with kids? Animals? All three are abnormal sexual practices! Now, this freak girl, wants MONEY (shocking!!) and she wants the teachers and administrators to go thru anti-discrimination training. That is ridiculous as it is! People DO NOT need to be trained to feel uncomfortable about ABNORMAL lifestyles! It's HUMAN. It's natural...it's normal! Forget this nonstop agenda...we need to take a stand against people like this 15 year old girl. We cannot let them hijack our lives, and our lifestyles...our way of life. Fact is- this girl needs to get a clue. Why are forced to protect her rights, but we totally ignore the rights of all the girls who feel uncomfortable undressing in front of the weird girl who is quite possibly checking them all out while they do so! Sad...Oh, about nothing but happy, feel good entries, I guess I lied...

click to see the boomtown intro in real video

I recorded the intro to the NBC series Boomtown. It's an amazing intro in regards to the effects. I especially like the very beginning, the city of Los Angeles is built from the desert basically, and you zoom into downtown, into an apartment, then into a picture, and so on...I recorded the entire intro as a real video file (very small file) and made part of the intro into a gif. Click the picture above for the real video file of the intro (with sound) and click here for the gif I made. Let me know what you think...

December 12, 2002 (Thursday) 8:20 A.M. CT.

First off, everyone's favorite Belgian detective...
David Suchet as Poirot

PETA goes stupid again with their California lawsuit, claiming milk commercials in that state to be false advertisement. They say the cows in the commercials depict happy cows...and according to PETA, cows are far from happy...they are sad, sad animals worked to death for milk and beef. PETA...a word of advice...DISBAND. Shut down! Close shop! You guys are an embarassment! Your organization is one of the biggest jokes in the world...NO ONE besides a few crazies out there take you guys serious...and rightfully so...because, you all are a big joke!

Just another example of why PETA is a joke.
http://www.dumpdairy.com

They claim milk causes the following: heart disease, breast cancer, acne, osteporosis, prostate cancer, and more.

This is bad science at its worst! First off...they list "facts" that prove that milk is causing these things. That's a total lie. The only thing their so called facts show is that doctors think FAT has to do with these diseases. Fat can come from any number of sources...yet they want to make a blanket statement about milk being the cause of these diseases. If you want to cut your risk of the diseases they list...eat a balanced diet. KEEP DRINKING MILK...it will not hurt you. There are indeed many vitamins and minerals in milk that help your body...no sane doctor would argue with that. The fact is...you need to lower your fat intake in general...which means cutting fat from meat, dairy products, and other foods. Not totally getting rid of milk. It's a shame that PETA spreads such lies. Scare tactics do not work, guys! When will you learn this?

December 11, 2002 (Wednesday) 5:40 A.M. CT.

I'm reading that book The Poet Game by Salar Abdoh. It's about an Iranian counter intelligence officer named Sami Amir who is on a mission on NYC, trying to thwart a terrorist attack by Moslem extemists. He is working for an organization in Iran that monitors that government, the military, etc, trying to keep the extremists in all those groups in line, and keeping the world a bit safer. Anyhow...this is really good so far. There is so much going on in the beginning, and so many different characters who aren't very drawn out, it's a bit confusing...it's starting to make more sense now that he's found his American contact, a woman- which is highly unusual...I think he starts to fall for her and she might be a double agent...that's what I read about the book before. I have been trying to get ahold of this book for over a year...well, I think that long. I heard about it one afternoon while driving, listening to NPR. I think they interviewed the author or something. I have never heard of him before this, and I don't even think he has any other books besides this one. It was very relevant at the time because of what happened on September 11....since the book also deals with terrorist attacks in New York City.

I got this book thru the interlibrary loan program...I guess all libraries have this or something? They don't have the book in the Evansville system, so I got it sent to the Evansville library from the Indianapolis library. I requested 3 other books thru the service. I love the library. It's the shit. I got a Poiroit video there the other day, and it's due...I need to watch it. I never knew about Poirot until I discovered all these videos at the west side library here one afternoon in the summer of 2001. I have been going to get stuff ever since...as frequently as I can. I have SO many books I have bought but still have yet to read. I will get to it, and post some reviews in the new book section that is coming soon.

I need to look for colleges again...I have yet to find one...have yet to even decide what location or what I want to major in. I don't know if I should go for film school or not. No telling. I need a digital camera...well, I want one. I will be getting one soon...then I can post pictures like there's no tomorrow. I need to get the message boards popular somehow! I want to get some regulars there and get some conversations going...check the boards out...I will be there frequently...there are a number of forums...let me know if you want me to add anything in particular...

It's cold...and snowing again. I was going to go pick up some paper from the pharmacy for mom last night...she wanted to see the side effects for some medicine, but she didn't want me driving, she said, because the roads were too slick. Like I have to ask permission. Ha. I obliged tho...'cause I'm nice like that. I need to stop eating those Red Baron pocket things...I have been eating them all the time lately. Bacon cheeseburger...well, I'm off...I might watch the episode of Profiler I taped now...My birthday is soon (Dec 21)...I want to go out to eat people. Oh, by the way...this weekend, I am going to see that movie Drumline...I wonder if many people will be seeing it this weekend with me? It doesn't look like it will have that big of an appeal...I mean, most people probably think they're too cool to see a movie about marching band...who knows...

December 10, 2002 (Tuesday) 8:35 P.M. CT.

Has anyone seen Justin Timberlake's new video? First, he sound like a woman...I don't know how anyone goes for that whiny 16 year old girl's voice he has. Secondly...was I the only one who sat their scared while watching it? If I were Britney Spears, I'd ne scared for my life, because that video was just creepy! Third...come on! Be a man. You break up with a girl, then you write a song about her and put her in a video where you're making out with some other girl in her house and taping it...that's not only pussified, it's also really scary! I personally think Mr. Timberlake needs to look in the yellow pages under "psychologist"!!

December 9, 2002 (Monday) 6:50 P.M. CT.

Flawless research from Morganjane again. I guess my parents Ray and Debbie changed their name to Josh and pay my bills for me. Hmmm...She claims I get all my information from the TV which is totally untrue, like any smart person, I get my information from a number of sources, then work to verify those sources in a number of places (radio, tv, print, magazines, the web, etc.) I guess Morganjane gets her information thru her rich internal life, huh? I mean, you can't deny she has an active imagination...

More Hippy Lies on Iraq

Check out this site...these people are crazy. Making sure Iraq doesn't have weapons won't help stop terrorism? That's odd...research has shown Iraq, Iran, and other nations have given weapons to terrorists. I guess these guys must have forgotten about September 11...I guess terrorists didn't attack, and I guess it could never happen again.

They claim peace is the only way to solve problems, that war has never done anything, which we all know is not true. I guess we should have found a peaceful way to end WWII, huh? WWI even...maybe we should have fought the British with the pen instead of the sword...would be free then? No...if we hadn't fought the Germans, Hitler might have gained control of the world...If we hadn't attacked Iraq in 1991, how many Kuwaiti's would have been killed? People like this are clueless when it comes to the real world. Peace will never solve every problem. Bad men will rise up, and the only way to stop them is with force.

One big thing I notice is this piece of garbage they list on their site: "The United States sanctions already have killed 500,000 children under five and at least 1 million people total. And that doesn't take into account the diseases that have killed because Iraqis can't get medicine, economic collapse brought on by the Gulf War, and starvation caused by Iraqis not having access to food. Do these children really need a war on top of all that?"

Funny...the "United States sanctions?" Lie number 1! You notice one lie in a piece and you can totally discard the entire piece. There are NO U.S. sanctions, they are UN sanctions!! They are still in place BECAUSE OF IRAQ and especially because of Hussein. You can't life sanctions and let him do whatever he wants...he threw the weapons inspectors out in 1998...we have tried to abide by the UN, but the UN has been highly ineffective in dealing with Saddam. They allowed the weapons inspectors to be tossed out by Hussein, then they did nothing after that. I like how people get angry, because they say the U.S. is trying to be the world's police, when they have no right...yet, they turn around and blame the U.S. for a problem that lies squarely on the shoulders of the UN and NOT the U.S. It's really convenient to constantly blame the U.S. for everything...as you can see from this group of jokers!

This is also on their site: "The marshlands of Iraq provide an environment for traditional agriculture, fishing, hunting, and other life-sustaining activities. Iraq is also home to unique and endangered species, some of which already have been lost. Another war in the region would surely endanger the precious marshlands and unique species further."

So, let me understand here...they want to protect marshlands and possibly give Hussein the chance to give weapons to no telling what terrorist groups? Terrorists groups that will use them against HUMANS!! Gosh...I can see the argument there. Let's let Saddam do whatever he wants so we can protect the marshlands!

They also say this: "An attack on Iraq will have nothing to do with stopping terrorism. It will have nothing to do with the liberation of the Iraqi people. And it will be only marginally concerned with weapons of mass destruction. Instead, this will be a war to extend and deepen U.S. control over the energy-rich Middle East, the single most important source of strategic power in an industrial world that runs on oil."

That's just funny. Keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of a madman and, in turn, terrorists will have NOTHING to do with stopping terrorism. Check out the sources for their claim that the war is all about oil. Funny stuff, huh?

Also this: "According to Pentagon figures, a preemptive strike could kill some 10,000 Iraqi civilians not to mention several young American men and women."

And your point? That's the nature of war. Get over it! It's unfortunate, but it's not an option to NOT kill civilians. If we could attack anyone with killing innocent people, we would. Come on!

You can read the rest of their nonsense on their site. Do so if you want a good laugh. Let's just all be thankful that people with views like this...that are based on distorted facts and such are not in control.

Synthetic Marijuana May Ease Depression??

Kinder, Gentler Marijuana Reduces Anxiety

By  Jennifer Warner

Reviewed By  Michael Smith, MD

Dec. 2, 2002 -- A distant chemical relative of marijuana may hold the promise of relieving depression and anxiety without the negative side effects of a marijuana high.

A new study shows the synthetic forms of the active ingredient in marijuana are gentler on the brains of animals and work much in the same way as popular antidepressants such as Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, and Paxil.

Initial results from laboratory tests of the experimental new drugs appear on Nature Medicine's web site and will be published in the January 2003 issue of the journal.

Researchers say it's the first study to demonstrate how anxiety is controlled by a natural network of chemicals in the brain known as anandamides, which play a role in regulating pain, mood, and other psychological functions, and may pave the way for new treatments for mental disorders.

The active ingredient in marijuana, THC, is already known to affect this system of nerve transmitters, but at a price.

"THC reduces anxiety by binding directly to receptors in the brain and resulting in its familiar 'high' sensation," says study researcher Daniele Piomelli, PhD, of the department of pharmacology at the University of California, Irvine, in a news release. "The reaction is too strong, creating marijuana's side effects."

Side effects of THC include dizziness, lethargy, and in some cases miscarriage or stillbirth among women.

In this study, researchers identified two synthetic forms of THC, called URB532 and URB595, which worked in a gentler way than marijuana to relieve anxiety and depression.

Rather than acting directly on the receptors in the brain, the drugs inhibited the activity of an enzyme that breaks apart anandamide -- keeping levels of natural anti-depressant for many hours after a single dose without significant side effects.

Researchers say the effect is similar as that achieved by antidepressants known as SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) that act on serotonin, another natural antidepressant chemical in the brain.

Although the results are promising, the study authors stress that much more research is needed before these drugs can be tested on humans.

JOSH'S COMMENTS: Ummm okay? First off...if they have the same effects as the SSRI's, then why forget about the synthetic stuff here and prescrive the...umm, well, the SSRI's?! Seems like they're spending a lot of time and money to research a chemical that seems to be present in drugs that are ALREADY on the market! Secondly- they know it relieves depression and anxiety HOW? Did they ask the mice if they felt happier and less anxious? Anxiety and Depression are physiological aspects in the brain, but we cannot deny that they are also intangible and cannot be measured by science. There is more to our brains than what science can see and actively measure...so the rates that these chemicals are present says nothing. Scientists themselves will admit that they're not even POSITIVE that seratonin levels in the brain is actually the cause of depression and anxiety...but, it SEEMS to help relieve both, so they think that's what might cause it. Many people prescribe to the idea of the placeabo effect, yet the hosts of Indiana University's A Moment of Science said recently that science has never once confirmed that the placeabo effecte even exists, and that it is, thus far, a myth. But, doctors and scientists keep talking about the effect as tho it DOES exist, so it goes a long way to show you that you really can't put 100% of your trust into anything these guys say. You have to remember that some of these guys think their white lab coats are equal to know-it-all suits...but, we all know, they're not.

Damn...church is just simply creepy. LOL. Anyone who knows me knows she is so wrong it's funny. I'm just soooo full of hate. I like how church says I'm sick and evil and without a soul and heartless...hmmm, that doesn't sound very Christian like to me! But I'M the hypocrite, huh? That's odd...I never saw the part of the bible where God said not to have an opinion about people and not to JOKE with people (as I have with Shannon. It started out as me trying to defend her against her so called friend, but it turned into me just having fun with her since she started being such a baby...) This is all good for a laugh...so keep it going! :) Don't worry about me churchy, God never said it was wrong to defend yourself from being attacked (which is the case with morganjane, jeff, mj's husband whatever his name is, and for that matter- you. look back over the posts, comments, tagboards, and you will see that's the case) so...I don't think God minds. When I stand in front of him, he'll say I had a backbone and defended myself, unlike you, aka Ashley's whipping post...

Oh, and by the way, genius...I didn't see anything about anyone overdosing on your site...I saw a story on MTV about that Ramone guy....whichever one died of drugs. So, please...don't flatter yourself...:)

December 9, 2002 (Monday) 12:40 A.M. CT.

I was thinking about public television and radio- PBS and NPR respectively. We fund both enterprises with tax money. Federal tax money is what keeps these guys in business. For the most part, I'm all for PBS and NPR, tho PBS many times is biased towards humanist ideas and NPR leans way to the right most of the time. Besides that- I think tax money is okay for both of these groups, which have become traditions in this country, I believe. PBS radio stations also get tons of money from universities when they are actually affiliated with one, plus private corporations donate a lot of the money PBS uses (both tv and radio.) My problem is when they constantly have pledge drives asking us for money. They go too far with this stuff...they almost try to make you feel guilty if you're not calling in with a donation...like it's your duty to give to PBS. The thing is- all of us who pay taxes are already donating- involuntarily. Many people do have a problem with their tax money going to fund PBS when our education system is a wreck and our borders are still pretty much, wide open (once again, I, myself, am fine with my tax money paying for PBS.) It seems to me that PBS needs to cut their budget...spend less...or find other ways to get donations. It's annoying that we have to deal with nonstop pledge drives when we're all already pay for it as it is. It might not be a lot of money we're all paying- but why should we be made to feel guilty for not paying twice?

December 8, 2002 (Sunday) 3:50 P.M. CT.

MTV always trys to show specials on sex and how to be "safe," and they always act like they have the authority to teach young people the dangers of sex and all...that's kinda funny, considering the fact that the music videos they show are full of sex, half naked women, total sluttiness...plus, shows like The Real World- people are having sex with everyone...so- how do they think they can show all of that then turn around and try to teach about safe sex? They need to pick one way. Either show all the half naked women you can along with 7 stupid people who are picked to live in a house where they can't keep their pants on and their genitals in their undies..but don't show both then try to be all high and mighty. It's irresponsible and it's dumb...

THE SO CALLED SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE
Josh Bozeman- Dec 8, 2002

The U.S. constitution reads:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

Let's look at this phrase and what it really means.

This clearly means...Congress shall not endorse a national religion. That is- they shall not force religion upon people. It does not mean that you have to take every mention of the bible out of public life, because the bible in public life is clearly NOT an endorsement of a NATIONAL RELIGION. Idiots who want to remove the bible from everything (because they're so afraid of it) try to claim that having any religious in public life is endorsing an ESTABLISHMENT of religion...but it's just not true. The ACLU (one of the most corrupt organizations in this country) has taken on this phrase and turned the meaning around 180 degrees. Congress has never established a national religion...they have never forced anyone to believe anything, nor take any religious faith as their own if they did not want to. Having the bible in public life is not establishing any religion whatsoever, that much is obvious. So, no one has ever broken this past of the Amendment (since Congress has never established a national religion and forced upon the people.)

This has clearly been broken numerous times by numerous groups. The Supreme Court totally ignored this part of the Amendment in the 1960's when they banned prayer from school. With the ban on public school prayer, they clearly made a "new" law prohibiting the free excerise of religion. With that, they limited the freedoms the bogus ACLU says they want to protect. The courts have now effectively corrupted this part of the 1st Amendment, and in turn, I believe corrupted the entire Amendment itself. You can't just pick and choose what parts of the Constitution you want to follow and which ones you don't. That's not the way things were meant to be...it's wrong, and it's illegal. The courts have effectively ignored the law they are supposed to interpret.

Many will have you believe "separation of church and state" is in the Constitution itself. It can be found NOWHERE in the document. It is an idea that came to some who wanted to rid this country of religion (Christianity really...there are currently classes in many U.S. schools where children are forced to learn about, and in some cases celebrate Islam.) Those who want to rid the country of Christianity used the letters Thomas Jefferson (he himself was a self proclaimed Christian) wrote to the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut...where he spoke of a wall of separation of church and state...but people want to confuse this by suddenly claiming that Jefferson was against any connection between church and the state- that he was completely against religion playing any part in government whatsoever. This is based not on fact, but on propaganda that is constantly used by atheists throughout the country. Jefferson started a school where he made it a rule that anything could be taught as long as the bible was taught along side it...That surely isn't a man who was all for banning religion in government.

You can use the propaganda if you want...you can spout of nonsense that is based on lies, but it's a dangerous move. This country was founded by men who loved God, whose religion played a big part in their lives. They never made any law that banned religion from anything...they simply stated they would never force a national religion upon the people- they would never infringe on the rights of the babtists by proclaiming the United States a pentacostal country...it's all pretty simple. We need to reverse the courts' decisions...we need to set the record straight.

Here are some links that go into this topic further

December 7, 2002 (Saturday) 6:10 P.M. CT.

Saddam Hussein could be a comedian. He apologizes to Kuwait for invading them...too bad it took him 12 years to do so, and when he did apologize, he told the Kuwaiti people to rise up and attack the U.S. and allied troops in Kuwait. Saddam, you make yourself look worse everyday...I apologize for invading your country, it was wrong...you deserve to be free from foreign rule...but- rise up and kill the Americans!! I wonder if ANYONE buys Saddam's constant stream of B.S.

Oh, and by the way- the number one terrorists threat to the world- psychotic Muslims. Islam, the world's most violent religion (don't let President Bush lie to you- Mohammed was NOT a man of peace), is at it again...nonstop terrorists attacks and threats from those brainless idiots. You have to wonder how anyone can follow this religion in the first place. Rise up and kill the infidels!! the Koran says. Nah, that's not a violent religion- it's a peace loving religion! Yea right, huh?...atleast God (the real God- the one from the Bible) is just and loving...

Get ready for way people...Iraq sent it's over 12, 000 documents to the UN, yet they still claim they have NO weapons of mass destruction...our troops will be heading into Iraq soon, you can bet that much...

http://www.netflix.com/GiftPurchase

Netflix...are you guys insane?! Check this out- to send a gift subscription, the person you're giving the gift subscription to has to provide netflix with a credit card...THEN, they have to cancel before the gift subscription runs out or they will be charged $19.95 per month. Hey jackasses! Who on earth would want to give a gift to someone where the person getting the gift has to give you their credit card number just to get it! Then, you scam people into MAKING them pay by credit card only (they have no other payment options)..they claim you HAVE to pay by credit card to protect from fraud, but the real reason is- most people will forget to cancel and they will automatically be charged per month. Also...they advertise a free 30 day trial...BUT, you STILL have to give them a credit card number so they can "verify" the order...which really means, as I said, they know you will forget and they can steal more money from you. Netflix...I will never in my life give you any business, and you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. LYING and SCAMMING are NOT good business plans...get real!!

December 6, 2002 (Friday) 7:15 P.M. CT.

I hate when the media makes a hero out of some rock star or celebrity who od's on drugs...like we should feel sorry for the person. No one forced the drugs into your body...you buy the drugs, which gives money to scum of the earth who are responsible for the deaths of many...which, in turn, makes you responsible for the deaths of many. To druggies who O.D.- good riddance...it's God's way of cleaning out the idiots to make room for others...

December 6, 2002 (Friday) 3:00 A.M. CT.

Ya know what I despise? People who talk about being open minded. I mean...think about what that means. It's like saying...yes, I have no convictions, you can change my mind at anytime. It's okay to let new facts in and if the facts change your decision great...but, I say- be passionate about what you believe in, and don't be wishy-washy...don't be open minded. If you were open minded...if you think about it...you couldn't have a solid opinion on anything...because, you'd have to be, well, open to changing your mind all the time- open minded. I say to hell with being open minded...make your decision and stick by it...those people who tell you to be open minded have their own formed opinions, so, in the end, they're no more open minded than anyone else.

Coming soon...all the old content from the Blue Page

Tomorrow (Saturday night) is the premiere of the HBO original movie, Live From Baghdad. I just noticed that David Suchet, who plays Poirot in the PBS/A&E series is in the film as well. He is by far the best Poirot ever, by the way...I bet you guys didn't know it, but I have this movie on VHS.

This is cool too. Charlie Brown stuff!

More TV shows on DVD:
The Jeffersons (well we're moving on up....wait, that's the right theme song, isn't it?)
I Love Lucy (aww, Lisa...)
Sanford and Son (whistling the theme song right now)
Moonlighting (classic 80's)
A crime drama I've never heard of, but looks good nonetheless-
Lord Peter Wimsey
The Sopranos (one of the best shows on TV)

December 5, 2002 (Thursday) 7:50 P.M. CT.

The UN has some big cahonays (spelling?!). They claim no breaches of the resolution have been committed, yet, the 1991 resolution set up the no fly zone and forbid Iraq from breaking that, yet Iraq is constantly patrolling the no fly zone by shooting at allied jets patrolling the area. How is that NOT a breach of the resolution? It seems the UN likes letting Iraq get away with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Kick the weapons inspectors out in 1998? No problem...Repeatedly fire on allied jets in the no fly zone, even after we renewed inspections? No problem. Traces of mustard gas found at inspection site, weapons manufacturing pieces missing since the 1998 inspections? No problem...go on, Iraq, do what you want, because you know for a fact that the UN will do absolutely nothing to stop you!

December 4, 2002 (Wednesday) 7:50 P.M. CT.

Big head strikes again! In her latest entry where she posts, "I love to talk endlessly about my opinions on something, but after the 3rd or 4th page I start to feel as if I'm being redundant and insulting my audience." Yes, honey, because we know they start to feel insulted by your amazing intellect. And, who on earth writes a paper for a professor and says writing to "my audience?" LOL.

First, read this- http://www.wnba.com/sol/community/shero_tooter.html

How on earth are you a hero just by doing what ANY normal person would do? Saving your own life is not heroic, and it's irresponsible and stupid to even try to call someone who does nothing more than protect themselves heroic. Someone needs to look up hero in the dictionary.

Now...read this- http://www.polkonline.com/stories/022802/sta_tooter.shtml and this-

Tillie Tooter, the 84-year-old Florida woman who survived 78 hours in a swamp after her car was rear-ended and knocked off an interstate highway outside Fort Lauderdale, hired a lawyer to sue the Florida Highway Patrol for not finding her sooner. "An atrocity took place," said Tooter's attorney, Terry M. Rosenblum, "and we're here to see that justice is properly served."

Heroes don't turn against the people who saved her life by suing them...hey, Tillie, you old bag- shut up and go back to watching The Golden Girls while knitting...you are a disgrace to senior citizens as a whole, you sue- happy freak! Hey, slow one, it doesn't mean you're popular, it means that you have a name for your site that NO ONE else uses...the spider automatically browses the web for pages and finds the words "indigo dreams," in your site and indexes it! Oh buddy...she's truly (truEly for Chuck, the genius)amazing. Now she thinks she's even started a trend! Yea...oh, and by the way, what sort of dimwit pays for a .us URL?!

December 2, 2002 (Monday) 3:50 A.M. CT.

Here's wishing that thief, Greg, from the worst service online (tag-board.com) a Merry Christmas. I mean, sure, I'm way early, but he sent his Thanksgiving
wishes at the end of December 1, so it's only fair, right?

From : Greg Grothaus <greg@infinitevoid.com>
To :
JBoze3131@hotmail.com
Subject :
[Tag-Board] Happy Thanksgiving
Date :
28 Nov 2002 21:29:47 -0000
note: I received this on December 1- notice how tag board can't
even get their e mail to work and send on time, let alone get
their crappy service up and running!

---------------
Dear Tagger,

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Tag-Board.com.

-Greg Grothaus
Tag-Board.com Staff

By the way...if you are wondering what I mean by thief-
I signed up for TB, as did Lisa.
We both got coupon codes for a year's worth of service for ten dollars instead
of twenty. We both went to the site to use the codes, but they both said they were
invalid. We e mailed Greg a number of times, but never got any reply. Finally, Lisa
ordered the service for the full price (after numerous more e mails from both of us
to why the codes wouldn't work-even went as far as to sign up a second
tagboard to make sure this was a scam...the coupon code was invalid again,
which lead me to believe the whole coupon thing was a sham. You only have a
week or so to use the coupon, so I think Greg's trick is to give out invalid codes,
then never reply to you, so that your time is up and you have to pay full price.)
So, Lisa orders it, because she can't find any other tagboard to use at the time, and
the free one I have wouldn't work for her with her last host. Funny thing...after she
pays money, Greg e mails her back immediately, tho he never replies to her other
e mails, nor to mine. Time went by and for any of you that use the service on your site,
you will see that it is ALWAYS down and never working properly when it's up.
The entire tag-board.com site itself is frequently down. There was a money back
guarantee for 30 days, (I believe it was 30 days), so Lisa requested a refund for
the $20. She sent numerous requests for her refund. Did Greg reply? Of course not...
not until AFTER the 30 days was up and the refund was gone. I e mailed him and
told him I was going to report him to the online better business bureau, and write
a bad review on planetfeedback.com. He replied and told me to send him the coupon
codes and MAYBE he could work something out (he would "consider it" he said)...he
was implying no refund, because the time limit had passed.
So, I e mailed him back saying I didn't have the codes (get real- why would I keep
invalid codes in my e mail for over a month? I only have so much space on my acct!)
This worked out well for Greg...he knew no one would have saved the codes...so
Iasked for just ten back as a refund. He never even gave her that much back.
Actually, he never even replied to that mail. I sent him a few more e mails after that day,
and then the other day I sent another e mail asking them to get their act together...and
to also stop sending me e mails (I get them all the time promising to provide a better
service- yet it's still ALWAYS down.) So...point being- do not trust the guys at
tag-board.com, they will only rip you off, and I cannot understand for the life of me
why anyone is still paying these cheats. If you ever e mail Greg, who has his e mail
listed on the site, do not expect a reply...UNLESS, you pony up the money first, then
you can expect exactly one reply...anymore trouble after that, and you're up the
proverbial river without a paddle. Now, if that's not a thief, I have no idea what is,
and the dictionary needs some updating!

December 2, 2002 (Monday) 2:50 A.M. CT.

really expensive and really ugly $2, 050-and boy does that look comfy!
Nothing like sitting down in a hardwood chair!
Someone is smoking up the crack in truckloads.
Yes...I want the
$10, 000 rug and the
$5, 000 coffee table or wait...maybe I'll get
the
$140 pillow, and I can use it on the $7,000 bed!

Umm, yea.

People who would even think of buying any of this kinda scare me!

The Tale of the Rambling Schizo (warning- r rated language, kids!)
