Anyone ever see that wildest police chases show? It's on TNT right now, and it pisses me off. It makes me even more sure that we need to give law enforcement the right to shoot when people run from them. You watch this show, and you see cops let some idiot run from them, driving thru all sorts of traffic, speeding over 120 miles per hour, going thru stop signs and traffic lights, running into signs, other cars, even people...why do we give the criminal so many rights and the innocent people on the road who are often injured and even killed by the monsters have no rights at all? Isn't my right as an American to be free from a wreck caused by some insane maniac who has no concern for anyone on the road? I think if you run from the cops, they should be able to shoot...even shoot to kill if it comes to it. There might be innocent people in the car, but I'm sorry- the safety of the innocent people driving along minding their own business is more important. Not only that...but, why are there not safety measures in place? It's common sense that all cities where there are ANY car chases need to have an extra light on the stoplights...one that tells other drives when a chase in in progress and it's coming close...too many people have died by these criminals flying thru stop signs and lights...how many people have to die before we realize that criminals give up their rights when they refuse to stop for the police? I say, right as they run...shoot out the tires, shoot anything...get the maniac OFF the road RIGHT AWAY...these 2 hour chases are an embarassment!
