Brendon Small is a third grader who makes short films with his friends Jason and Melissa. When he's not making films, he's playing soccer, or possibly discussing his problems with Coach McGuirk.

Melissa is one of Brendon's best friends. She is in all of the movies he makes. She is the sensible one, definitely the most mature of the three kids.

Melissa's dad (I think his name is John) shows up in the show every now and then. I don't think he made any appearances in season 3 at all...I can't remember for sure. He owns a realty business and seems to do fairly well as a single parent. We've never met Melissa's mom.

Jason Panapolis is the quirky kid, by far the least mature of the three kids. He is constantly pointing out the fact that he has open sores or bad hygiene. He often argues with Melissa and Brendon over the contents of the movies.

Coach McGuirk is the 'drunk irish' guy. He's Brendon and Melissa's soccer coach at school. He's a loud mouth who is usually somewhat vulgar...drinking up black hole brew on a regular basis. McGuirk's enemy, if he really had a true enemy, would be Mr. Lynch who is the kids' teacher.

Walter and Perry are...well, they're hard to explain. They go to school with the kids, and they both play on the soccer team. They seem to be attached at the hip, and never leave each others side. Many have assumed that they are gay from the way they talk, but they're young kids, so I wouldn't so one way or another myself. They can often be found together, agreeing with everything the other one days.

Mr. Lynch is the kids' teacher. He's kind of a wuss, and is always wearing his little bow tie, and he has a funny mustache, so McGuirk thinks. Lynch likes the school nurse, but so does McGuirk. He's not very tough, so the kids usually walk over him.

Paula Small is Brendon's mom. She teaches creative writing at Roth University, and she's divorced from Brendon's father.

Andrew Small is Brendon's father. He isn't around all that much, and we only met him in the second season. He recently got married to Linda, who just so happens to be whiny, spoiled woman who doesn't seem to like Brendon so much. The couple also recently had a baby together in the season 3 finale. Andrew is a lawyer, usually dealing with corporate legal matters.

Linda is Brendon's new stepmom- Andrew's new wife. She was pretty whiny when we first met her in season 2, and she's still pretty whiny, but she's come to accept Brendon a little more than before. She is also on better terms with Paula.

**We have never met either one of Jason's parents, or any other family members he might have. We know they belong to the country club, because he let Brendon use his family's account there, and we know that they're still together- since that has been mentioned in the show as well. He did talk to his mom on the phone once, when she called Brendon's house during the big storm...but, that scene was in another room, and we didn't get to see any of it.
