From what's being reported from Aruba...a Boston couple saw Natalee Holloway in a bar (what is an 18 yr old doing in a bar? I assume the laws in Aruba are different), but still...what is a young girl in a forgeign country doing in a bar? 3 more men have been taken in for questioning, and Natalee's friends told police and FBI that she left from the bar with the 3 men they have in custody now...the main Aruba newspaper is reporting that the men and Natalee maybe went to a parking spot where young people party and stuff.
The chaperones left the island before Natalee went missing...Conflicting information is coming out with all of this. None of it makes sense.
We do know that, from what's coming out with this case- parents need to warn their teens to protect themselves...18 yr old girls in bars in foreign countries, getting drunk- all of that has danger written all over it. I just can't imagine how she was in a bar to begin with, where were the older adults watching them, and why did they allow her to go off to a bar, why did her friends allow her to get into a car and drive off with strange men (especially considering she was drunk)?!
im even more confused now since last i hear they retracted the confession stories and stories of a body being found...and for at least 2 or 3 days no news at all?! this is insane.
since when is 18 years of age "young"? 18 is the age of adulthood. The drinking age in almost every country on the planet, except for the US, is 18 or less.
what is sad is that 18 year olds in the US are so moronically immature that they don't have the good sense to stay out of situations like this unfortunate girl has herself in.
she shouldn't need an adult to "watch" her at age 18. do your kids a huge favor & don't shelter them from the world. warn them, arm them & teach them to kick ass. my 15 year old daughter weighs 80 lbs & she could jump across a table, rip my thorax out with one hand, and be back in her chair before I could say "boo"!
i dont think they should need older adults...but this girl needed to get her act together clearly. what is she doing in a casino with a stranger, getting drunk, going off with strangers, etc. her actions put her in peril, and parents clearly need to inform their kids better in some cases- watch yourself, watch your back, be a bit more smart when it comes to your actions, especially when in a strange place with strange people that you dont know a thing about.
I know I am a mother of 4 girls, and have taught them who to trust and who not to trust. In the same token,if one is out in a bad spot and is by themselves, no telling what could happen. My heart goes out for Natalie's family, and oray daily that she is found SAFE!!!!!! Also, friends NEVER should have left her alone.
