Okay...so this morning the prosecutor in Aruba givea a press conference that lasts around 20 seconds this morning...and she says they refuse to say whether or not the overnight reports of a murder confession is true or not true. They have 5 people in custody and they're interrogating them, and that's all she would say.
I don't care what weird legal system Aruba has- this nation is screwing itself over by refusing to give ANY information. They refuse to even say whether or not the murder confession breaking news alerts were true or not! These people are coming off totally clueless, and if they want to protect their tourist industry they need to be open and willing to give information.
Oh dear God- the news outlets reported that the officials in Aruba confirmed Natalee Holloway was killed and her body was going to be recovered. Now, they're ONCE AGAIN, taking the story back and merely saying that the search for her has reached a critial point, and not confirming her death.
This is starting to get ridiculous, and the officials in Aruba would be smart to get INFORMATION OUT and do it all openly and quickly...these people want to protect their tourism industry, but it seems like they're completely clueless how to do this. They saw the crime is low there, but lord, I wouldn't go there since the island's authorities are coming off as completely incompetent by allowing so much conflicting reports to go out, and by refusing to really release any substantial information on this case.
