One of the long list of reasons that Americans hate defense attorneys
When you work to try to fool the system to get killers, rapists, and pedophiles off on legal technicalities, you can be sure people aren't going to care too much for you to begin with...but when you use these tactics, are successful, and your murderer client goes out and causes MORE trouble, then you're just plain screwed.
Tate should have never been let out of a prison or an institution. He's violent to the point where he's a danger to all of society, and nothing is going to change this completely. That's just common sense. The defense distorted what the expert psychiatrists said, in an effort to get their killer client off and make their dough. How defense attorneys, in general, can act ethically in the system, is a mystery in general. Maybe it's not really possible, since the way the system is set up, it's made to be a big game, and the best players are meant to take victory.
Anyhow...on the subject of Tate, anyone with any sense knew this would happen. Murderers put back into society aren't likely to reform themselves and become model citizens...the 3 judge panel that let Tate out screwed up big time, and these new crimes are the result of their actions. Shockingly, Tate only robbed a man at gunpoint...this time he didn't kill.
