So the UN Dispatch, a website run by former Kerry aides is on the web. I don't visit it, but for a second right now since Michelle Malkin mentioned it...but, it's hilarious to read. They have a section called "critic watch," as if they're so paranoid about anyone being critical towards the UN (former John 'global test' Kerry aides run it...I can see why they're paranoid of this corrupt, pointless world body!) The funniest thing about this section is that it's basically an attack on Fox News and every story Fox News does on the UN (because Fox has been leading the way in attacking the UN for its corruption, exposing to the world how dirty this organization is.)
Doesn't that make UN Dispatch look like a bunch of whiny babies? It seems that way to me...now, they attack a guy who is posting about the investigation into the Oil for Food Scandal, and they use as an example of his dishonesty of why he's only posting about this one UN item, a quote where he thanked the SecGen for the 50, 000+ hits a day. Clearly, this was sarcasm directed at the corrupt Annan, and it exposes the UN Dispatch of being clueless hacks for trying to distort the meaning of what he said and claim that he's lying about the UN to get publicity! You have to wonder of the people who wrote this attack on the blogger were serious, or if they thought about what they wrote before they hit 'post'!
No one in their right mind is blind to the fact that the UN is tainted by corruption, bribery, greed, etc. The group is made up of many nations that have zero freedoms- Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia (all those 'stuck in the stone age' Islamic nations)...and that alone makes it clear that no real work can ever be done in that body to push for peace. China is on the sec council, which means the sec council can not really do any meaningful work. The point is- only an idiot would support this UN so much and not be critical of it in any way (or nearly any way.) That seems to be what the UN Dispatch is doing...defending the organization no matter what it does, no matter how many scandals pop up, no matter how corrupt these men and women become. So, I guess following my logic, you'd have to point out that the staff at the UN Dispatch are most likely some of the die hard UN idiots I mentioned a second ago. Scary. Maybe that's why I don't read it.
