Reid Not So Sorry for Calling Pres a "Loser"- Still Lying on Judicial Nominee Process

(550 Words) Posted at May 11, 2005 06:17 PM in Politics .

The democratic party is lead by a man who tells high school students that the president "is a loser." The DNC chief tells crowds that he hates Republicans and that he thinks they're evil people. Other democrats attack Republicans, saying they're liars, that the President lied about war, war for oil, Bush knew about 9/11 beforehand, and so on and so forth.

Harry Reid said he called Karl Rove and apoligized for calling the president a loser, but now he doesn't seem so sorry for his hateful comments.

"I tell people how I feel about things. I don't try to hide how I feel," Reid said.

"Maybe my choice of words was improper, and I have indicated that maybe they were, but I want everyone here, I repeat, to know I'm going to continue to call things the way that I see them, and I think this administration has done a very, very bad job for this nation and the world."

So, the leading democrat REALLY DOES think the president is a loser, and he think's that it's okay to tell this to high school kids. He will apologize to Rove (why not the president himself?), and then he tells reporters that he says what he thinks, so he meant what he said. Bush "has done a very, very bad job for this nation and the world," he says. Reid is a coward for saying what he said to begin with, and he's a coward for apologizing when he didn't mean it in the first place.

That's their party tho. Maybe Reid should team up with Michael Moore and they can make some propaganda together...

On the vote in regards to the constitutional option, it seems Reid and other democrats are still lying about the Senate process. Reid had this to say:

"We are prepared for a vote on the nuclear option. Democrats will join responsible Republicans in a vote to uphold the constitutional principle of checks and balances."

"Responsible Repulicans"?? Is Reid kidding? The dems, with Reid leading the charge, have lied time and time again about the way the Senate process works. It is their Constitutional duty to give nominees an up or down vote, and nowhere in the Constitution does it call for a super majority for nominees. If that were the case, nothing would get done in Congress! Why then does Reid continue to lie and call this a "constitutional principle," when it's NOWHERE in the Constitution? Checks and balances exist- the president has the veto, Congress has debate, the entire government has elections (where the people decide which party's agenda they want enacted!), etc. A super majority is NOT a means of checks and balances, and Reid and his cronies are liars to claim as much.

The Constitution demands that the Senate give a vote to nominees in this position, and if Reid truly wants to uphold the Constitutional principles, he'll stop obstructing and get down to the people's business.

I'd have to agree with Nevada Republicans...Reid is an embarassment to their state.

Nevada State Republican Party Chairman Earlene Forsythe issued a press release Monday saying Reid's comments "stirred the anger of Republicans across the country and here in Nevada.

"He has shown himself to be an embarrassment to Nevada because of his intemperate remarks."

I'm right with you on this one. I posted similar thought on my blog noting that where I am from, apologies actually mean something. You hit the nail right on the head!
