NY Times Inaccurately Reports FBI Report on Gitmo, Claims FBI Reported Abuse

The NY Times inaccurately reports the situation at gitmo (again!)

The influx of defense lawyers at Guantánamo Bay also seems to have had some impact on the character of the detention facility. Some of the lawyers say that it was likely a factor in the authorities' decision to end most of the interrogations in recent months. In addition, some lawyers and human rights officials say that the lawyers' presence has reduced reports of abusive treatment by guards and interrogators that previously were the subject of complaints from the Red Cross and the F.B.I.

There were NO complaints from the FBI. There were FBI files that listed a number of complaints FROM INMATES at the base. The Red Cross, as far as I'm aware didn't witness any abuse either, but also passed along the complaints of inmates there. What we have here is an example of a liberal newspaper attempting to attack the US military, in a campaign to try to make the president look bad. I suggest the NY Times look into a nifty little thing I like to call- 'reporting the facts.' It would be a stretch for the Times to do this, and half the staff might commit suicide from the thought of it, but it might be a good idea for them to employ this tactic sometime.

Interesting, so what your saying is it could go either direction?
