The homosexual lobby MUST be stopped, and it must be stopped very very soon. The judge in Nebraska overturned the state constitutional amendment that was supported by over 70% of the people in Nebraska that said a marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman, and the state would not recognize gay marriage or any other coming together of 2 same sex people- Nebraka would not recognize civil unions or anything that was similiar to it either.
Each state has a right to make laws like this- to stipulate the situation needed for legal contracts, such as marriage. The state doesn't have to recognize gay couples in any form, as the amendment said. The judge that ruled that this was unconstitutional did so on the basis that it would limit gay couples' ability to challenge the law (amendement), and they wouldn't have a chance to further debate the issue. So, according to this judge, if you don't like a law, you have a right to have it overturned so you can endlessly debate it? I don't like the law that says judges can do whatever they want, (well, it's now a law per se, but still), so I demand we overturn the entire judiciary so I can debate the issue until I die!
The judge also said that the amendement violates the rights of same-sex couples, foster parents, adopted children and people in a host of other living arrangements.
Again, more nonsense. "Same sex couples" HAVE NO RIGHTS under the law in Nebraska, because there is NO SUCH THING as a same sex couple! The amendment bans ANY AND ALL same sex arragenments like this, yet he overturns a ballot initiative the people voter in favor or, because couples who don't exist under the law won't have their nonexistant rights protected?!?! And they say the judiciary isn't taking over and overruling the will of the people? Make me laugh some more!!
The judge said:
"potentially prohibits or at least inhibits people, regardless of sexual preference, from entering into numerous relationships or living arrangements that could be interpreted as a same-sex relationship 'similar to' marriage."
What?!?! The amendement banned same sex relationships, and it was very clear in what it banned...but this guy claims that the law is unconstitutional because it's too broad, that it would limit rights of people who might enter into rships considered "similar to marriage"?! Is he serious?!!

The homosexual lobby, as I've said time and time again, is very powerful and very well funded. A lot of their power comes from fear of Americans afraid of opposing gays, gay marriage, etc. fearing they will be labeled bigots or homophobes...nonsense, of course, but it's a fear many Americans have. BUT- the homosexual lobby is failing miserably in one manner...these judges they have successfully gotten to defy the will of the people are going to guarantee calls for a FEDERAL marriage amendement to the US Constitution. These idiots are so stubborn in their attemps to destroy marriage, it's only a matter of time before the full weight of the US Constitution comes down on their heads, and I say good riddance to you all, because you can NOT steal marriage away from us. You can't decide that you want to change the very basic definition of the institution and make it your own...Americans have spoken time and again in all sorts of polls, and we won't allow it. In time, there will be a backlash against gays and their attempts at overtaking marriage, that they'll be sorry they ever messed with the American people. The people won't allow ANY group to come in and demand a complete overhaul of a sacred institution.
This also goes to the argument of the fools that claim that a marriage amendment isn't necessary, that the right wing is just using this to divide the country- BS. This case and the scores of others PROVE we need a federal amendment to control a judiciary that is out of control and thinks that the laws are of no consequence to them. Judges who think that they are above the law and can change laws and create laws rather than INTERPRET them.
The people spoke in Nebraska, and they're speaking everyday across the country- and the message is loud and clear, we won't allow any group to take over marriage. Judges are trying to defeat the people, but soon enough- the people will win out.
BY THE WAY: Guess who sued to get this ban overturned? The ACLU. That's right...it was the Lambda Legal and the Lesbian and Gay Project of the American Civil Liberties Union. These people sue schools to demand the word "Christmas" be removed from school calendars, that schools are not allowed to have "christmas" plays/musicals, they have filed briefs in support of members of the KKK, the nazi party, and NAMBLA (north american man/boy love assoc- which advocates gay rape of children), and NOW they sue to defy the will of the people of Nebraska. The ACLU makes me sick. These people are vile scum who aren't at all interested in protecting your "civil rights,' only in demanding that YOU bow to their wishes, that you follow THEIR radically liberal ideology. If not, they'll sue you. I pray for the day the ACLU backlash comes and all of America bands together to destroy this organization.
