As reported on Hannity and Colmes (Fox News), another black American is coming forward screaming racism where none exists. Former Broward County Elections Supervisor Miriam Oliphant has come out to say that Florida Governor Jeb Bush fired her due to racism and that her civil rights were violated. The state of Florida says that she was fired for gross incompetence and talk of racism is nonsense. Incomptence by Broward County election officials- that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, considering that county got national attention during the 2000 election for screwing up the election so badly! It should be noted that the woman Jeb Bush replaced her with is ALSO black. So, we KNOW for a fact that racism wasn't an issue here, and to claim as such is disgusting in itself.
I mention this story to 1. expose (to whoever reads this) the fact that this wonan is a hustler who will use the race card to get ahead when she can't get ahead on merit. and 2. to point out the trend (a trend that is supported by racists like Jesse 'the hustler' Jackson and Al Sharpton), of black Americans in power (and even those not in positions of power) crying racism anytime something doesn't go their way. You can find scores of racism claims from across the country everyday in the news if you look for them, and the disturbing fact is- all or nearly all of these claims come from black Americans who continue to imagine racism where none exists.
Racism is evil itself, but perpetuating the claim that racism is a major problem in the US only leads more and more people to forgo personal responsibility for their own actions and their own lives, which leads to these opportunistic individuals blaming whites as bigoted racists hell bent on destroying all people of color. Of course, such a claim is nonsense...racism exists, but it's 2005 in the United States. Racism as an institution is dead...racism that is systematic on any level is dead. When will someone inform the race hustlers and opportunists of this fact?
No one should take seriously any person of any color who attempts to use the race card like this. People who make excuses for why they fail will only continue to fail, and it's best to stay out of their way...
