Hilarious Clip from "Cosby" (video download)
So, I've been putting all the episodes of COSBY onto DVD (they air on TBS at 4:30 AM, I believe)...and the other morning, I saw the funniest episode ever. Cracked me up, so I had to share a clip of the show with everyone...
A little background information. First off, the show is about Hilton Lucas (played by Cosby) who is laid off from his job with the airlines after 30 years on the job. He's trying to adust to being unemployed. In a few episodes, he found new jobs- working in an antique store that turned out to be a bordello, working as a security guard for a hotel that gets robbed, etc.) His wife (played by Rashad, just like in the Cosby Show from the 80's) owns a flower business in the early seasons, and she later runs a coffee shop, which I guess she runs with her daughter as well? This all gets confusing since things changed so much in the series, and I saw much of the final season and part of the first so far...
Anyway- in this particular episode, Hilton is taking an art class to learn how to paint. He doesn't realize it, but after complaining that all the teacher was showing them was shapes and stuff, the next class he shows up and there's a nude female model. I should also point out that Griffin (played by Doug E. Doug) is also at this place to take classes, but mainly to meet women. So, Hilton is telling the model that her clothes fell off, and the teacher is telling him that she's the nude model, but Hilton can't even look at her and ends up painting fruit on a table while facing the other way of the model...he just can't do it- it's someone's daughter he says. So, the next class, he paints fruit again and is about to leave and go home. The model comes in with the sheet wrapped around her, telling Hilton that someone stole all her stuff...all of her stuff, including her clothes and he's the last one left and she needs help. She asks for a ride home, so he says he would give her a ride and help her, after saying no to her many times.
Also to be noted is the fact that people have been mistaking the street Hilton lives on for a different street where there's a nursing home. So, during the episode, they drop off an old woman at the house, but another character answers the door and thinks they're dropping off something else (I forget what it is- furniture maybe?)...so, remember that there's an old woman in the house who thinks this is her new home, and Hilton and his wife have no idea she's there, because it was a friend who let the guys in to drop her off, and the friend thought it was the other delivery men with something else altogether.
So, there's an old woman upstairs thinking she lives there...and Hilton has given the nude model (who is now still nude besides a sheet) a ride and will help her get clothes. One final thing- the model's husband has no idea she's doing nude modeling, which is why Hilton can't take her home and has to help her get clothes, which he will do at home by raiding his wife's closet...
