Father Who Killed 2 IL Girls Spent Time in Prison for Chainsaw Attack
Jerry Hobbs- Murdered daughter and daughter's friend
The two Illinois girls who were found stabbed to death were killed by one of the girl's father, Jerry Hobbs. The amazing part is- he has a mile long rap sheet, including...and get this...ASSAULT WITH A CHAINSAW!!!! I can never understand the US legal system when a person can be arrested and convicted dozens of times, assault someone with a chainsaw, spend 2 yrs in prison, get out and then murder two children. Shouldn't there be a law that says- if you assault someone with a chainsaw like Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, we're going to lock you up and throw away the key? OR- Maybe that's too harsh, but we put you under lifelong supervision to make sure you cannot commit other violent acts ever again. This is insane...some Americans are locked up for 20 years for dealing drugs, robbery, etc., yet this guy got a mere 2 years for violently attacking someone with a chainsaw, which allowed him to get out of prison and murder his daughter and his daughter's friend. This makes it disgustingly clear that the US judicial system is in serious need of overhaul.
UPDATE: It turns out, Hobbs (who confessed to the killing) has only been out of prison for a month!!

In other crime-related news...
I don't really understand what the entire story here is, but as reported on Hannity and Colmes- Army Reserve Sgt Patrick Haab was rushed by 7 men who turned out to be illegal aliens, and he mad a citizens arrest and detained the men (after drawing his weapon. There is no charges from the US, but according to H&C, Mexico is trying to prosecute. I'm not sure HOW Mexico could prosecute at all, since Mexico has no legal authority over Americans who take action in the US. This report was totally confusing, so I don't know all the details, but I do know that the illegals might not be prosecuted according to the Sgt and his attorney, and that they're still in the US.

Hi my name is sierra and im 12 yrs old and i think he should get the death penalty but instead of an injection he should be stabbed to death like his daughter and her friend. Because that is not right what his daughter went through. Thats the stupidest excuse i have ever heard that he killed his daughter for that reason. Its sick.Everyone at my school wont stop talking about it. They agree with me..give him the death penalty.
