From The O'Reilly Factor (tonight's show),
A woman in Iowa (Rebecca Mann) was arrested for soliciting prostitution from an undercover officer, and she was 3x's the legal alcohol limit. If they gave her a test to show that, I assume she was driving. The woman is 8 months pregnant now, she has 4 other kids and she says that she drank during EVERY pregnancy, but it's okay, because she says they're fine, it didn't hurt them. She was released and not charged. The DA in the county she was arrested in refuses to charge her with ANYTHING, releasing her back to the streets to get drunk as much as she wants, injuring her unborn baby. In Iowa, you can't charge her with child endangerment, because Iowa law only allows that when a baby is separated from the mother and takes his or her first breath independent of the mother.
No way to charge her with this, since that's the current law (that clearly needs to be changed), but you CAN charge her drunk driving and soliciting sex as she did (this charge carries a 2 yr sentence in the state!)
But, to the DA, this isn't good law. It's better to allow her to break the law, put her children (the other 4 already born) and her unborn child in danger.
Amazing!
O'Reilly will report in a min on the father (who I posted about before) who was arrested AND CHARGED in Massachusetts for demanding that his 5 yr old child NOT be in class and taught from a book that he found to be sympathetic to homosexuality.
