You've got to wonder if Bill Maher is literally ill upstairs.
He complains that Bush and others lied...tho, NO ONE (NOT EVEN THE DEMOCRATS!!!!!) claim he lied. How on earth so many whacko liberals equate bad intel with DISHONESTY, I've no idea, but it's amazing this fiction still lives on. Maher knows he's a liar, but this is nothing new for him.
He claims the Iraqi army never fought...which is offensive to the soldiers who were killed by Iraqi military. What he doesn't realize is (I think he actually DOES realize it), that the US military DOMINATED the Iraqi military. It was the beauty of the world's most advanced and most powerful military. The Iraq war victory was a resounding success...it was a military defeat of historic proportions.
Maher attacks Richard Perle on his show and starts saying 'we took over the torture.' Idiotic liberal lunacy- a handful of bad apples in ONE prison allows a fool to say 'we took over the torture.' It's the mindset that Maher has that is destructive...
Maher claims that Republicans have rose colored glasses on when it came to Iraq and we thought the Iraqis would welcome us, but they didn't. No doubt that Maher knows- the Iraqis, in large part, DID welcome us with open arms...you think the average Iraqi would choose death from Hussein ober liberation? From complete reporting from Iraq- you see that a great many Iraqis thank the allied forces that removed the dictator that ruled them for so long. They have a new government and had free elections...a constitution is on the way. All good news for the Iraqi people, and most of them agree.
I've seen thousands of pictures, scores of reports, and more that shows the Iraqi people, INDEED, welcoming the US and UK, and other forces...we have freed 25 million people from tyranny. Only the liberals think this isn't a worthy fight. They will fight to the death to defend Clinton sending the military everywhere, but Bush frees 25 million people in one nation and it's evil.
Maher also claims that Bush sent the troops in without armor...he neglects to remember it was President Clinton who gutted the military forces- he cut billions in funding and cut the troop levels in half. By cutting funding, that lead to planes, boats, weapons systems, and more breaking down and it meant these things were in need of repair. Clinton also killed troop morale with his numerous social engineering projects in the military, including: gays in the military (which he TRIED to push thru on his 3rd day in office), females in combat positions (despite the fact that women consistently test lower in strength- especially upper body strength, and that a mere 11% of women in the military, at the time, said they would even volunteer for such positions), and co-ed basic training, which has been denounced by every branch of the military and in numerous reports on the topic.
You also have to point out the fact that- despite slashing military funding and cutting troop levels down the line (as well as cutting down the number of batallions, air and sea fleets, and more), Clinton sent US forces into a greater and great number of places. The 90's were also the time when military pay was cut to the point where increased numbers of soldiers started calling it quits due to the many factors I mentioned, and many military families had to resort to using food stamps and other forms of welfare.
With more and more missions came DIFFERENT missions...Clinton started to use the military for purposes it was never intended. He started sending our men out on humanitarian missions all of the time- this meant, longer deployment, less pay, more stress- all of which helped to destory morale even more. Bosnia? Haiti? These were missions that were vital to our national security, yet liberal fools like Maher complain that Iraq was no threat whatsoever, despite the fact that this nation attemped to assassinate a US president? That they fired on allied jets in the no fly zone EVERY single day? What planet are these people living on to support Clinton's endeavours, yet daily attack Bush for taking out brutal regimes that the UN spent 12 yrs trying to reign in?
In the same show- Maher also attacked the minutemen project and said they were backwards "vigilantes." Of course, that is also a lie- the minutemen never take the law into their own hands...they contacted law enforcement to come enforce the law. So, Maher lies when he changes the definition of the word "vigilante."
Maher also claimed that illegal immigrants pay $8 billion in taxes, but don't get a penny back. Too bad that (as I mentioned before), illegals make up 1/3 of the US prison population, and a large chunk of welfare goes to illegals as well. Maher has to know this if he does ANY research at all, so we know he's lying about this as well.
No reasonable person takes Maher seriously, and we all know that he's completely full of it and refuses to be honest.
