ACLU: All Children Have Right to Abort Their Babies

(410 Words) Posted at May 4, 2005 05:06 AM in Current Events .

The ACLU shows its insanity by attacking the state of Florida in trying to limit a 13 year old girl in state care from having an abortion. God forbid we try to limit CHILDREN from having abortions. Howard Simon, the Florida director of the anti-christian, anti-American, anti-common sense ACLU had this to say on the case:

"You've got to be blind not to see a pattern here," said Howard Simon, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida. "The pattern is the state's hostility to the exercise of personal freedom... when that personal freedom is not consistent with the prevailing ideology of the state government."

"Hostility to the exercise of personal freedom"!??!

You have got to be kidding me. A 13 year old isn't mature enough to decide whether or not to kill her still unborn child. Personal freedom? What personal freedom does a 13 yr old have anyway? Only the ACLU (who fights for nazis, pedophiles, and atheists who demand death to god in the public realm) would issue a statement like this. Do you notice that they're always involved in these outrageous cases to begin with?

Simon was speaking of a pattern, which includes Terri Shiavo...we KNOW that personal freedom wasn't involved there, and that the government wasn't making it an issue of demanding someone follow their ideology, so his attack on Florida is ridiculous to begin with. Numerous people came forward to say that Michael Shiavo had other motives than his wife's best interests. Many came forward to say they heard him say 'when will this bitch ever die?' and that Terri would never have wanted to be killed like she was. The views of her estranged husband (who had a common law wife and kids with the woman) and a couple of others beat out the view of the woman's parents who showed no ulterior motive, and the state that wanted to stand on the side of life and not death. But, the ACLU finds that to be hostility to ones personal freedom!

Insanity. The ACLU will fight to the death to demand an end to a school christmas play or thw word "Christmas" appearing in a school calendar, yet they will so freely attack state's for wanting to limit abortions for childrens and not wanting to starve to death disabled Americans who have no voice themselves. It's scary that the ACLU, its executives, and its members cannot see how backward that is.

What I find amusing is not what the man you quoted said but a statement made by Mathew Staver, president of Orlando, Florida-based Liberty Counsel,
"A second opinion is clearly warranted in a case where life and death is at stake," he said. "An appellate court should look at whether or not the girl is mature enough to make a decision like this."
……If this girl is not mature enough to decide whether or not to abort her baby, what makes everyone so sure she’s mature enough to give birth or be a mother? It’s like trying to make a decision with a two-headed coin. No one should be forced into motherhood. Nor should they be told what decisions they can or cannot make regarding their bodies. Who are we (the public) to force people to bring more children into a world where thousands/millions of children are already unwanted? Think about the number of kids growing up in the system everyday. Now think about those that are thrown out into the world to fiend for themselves once they reach eighteen. Then ask yourself is it fair to possibly subject yet another child to a life like that. You of all people should agree since you oppose welfare and government assistance. But did you ever consider what the state’s next move might have been if the she had the baby? Would they allow her to raise her baby? Probably not. I am sure they would take the baby and place it up for adoption because she has no way of supporting a child. That too would be wrong. So why force her to give birth to a baby she cannot support? Is it because 50% or less of the public opposes abortion?
