In Concord, MA...David Parker simply wanted the school of his 5 year old (yes 5 YEAR OLD) to inform him and his wife if they were going to teach his young song about homosexuality and gay marriage and the like. He wanted to opt his son out of any discussion. Here, you can find a link to e-mails sent back and forth from Parker and the school about this issue. They basically refused his request for notification if they were teach his son about homosexuality. He demaned that he was the parent and he would not allow his son to be taught these topics.
The principal agreed to meet with Parker and when Parker went the school refused his request to actually be a parent. They wouldn't allow his son to opt out of the homosexual lessons and wouldn't notify him about such discussions that he didn't want his son being a part of. He refused to leave the school until they agreed to allow his son to opt out and for the parents to be notified. They still refused this simple request, by which they refuse him his rights as a parent, so they called the police and he was arrested for trespassing.
All in the bogus name of diversity. Public education is dead. Liberals have taken over the public schools like they have taken over American universities, and it's all disgusting beyond belief. In the US in 2005, a parent no longer has a right as to what his child is taught...a phony claim of diversity can be used to teach children as young as 5 about homosexual lifestyles, lifestyles that the great majority of Americans find offensive and disgusting. The parent has no rights in 2005 America. The liberals and their BS PC nonsense has taken hold and there's very little most of us can do...there is ONE thing we can do, and it's called private schools- schools which offer a better education, higher test scores, and a better overall approach to education in general.

i cant speak for moe, but i think he was saying that those who claim oppression all the time should get their butts kicked...not gays in general, youd have to ask him.
as for my reply...i actually read the comment and replied 20 mins or so later. i didnt even remember all that was said. i agreed with the basic idea that there is no oppression and that whining is annoying. that i dont agree with the lifestyle choice and dont want my kids being taught that its normal/safe/okay, etc.

Imagine if your life partner, your best friend and loyal companion, was to suddenly fall into a coma. Instead of coming to you, the hospital is forced by state law to contact the patient's distant, estranged, and particularly prejudiced relatives. All authority to make decisions regarding the well being of your partner are stripped from you, and you are left completely powerless and shattered. Furthermore, you are banned from the hospital room and are unable to merely stand beside your loved one as the life support is pulled. The family is rather unaffected, if not even relieved, to have abolished what they consider the biggest disappointment to their bloodline. You however, are an emotional wreck, a reject of "normal" society left to wonder how this injustice was alllowed. How is it fair that you are regarded by law as a lesser individual, with lesser rights, only because you happen to be a minority. This is just one very realistic example of the numerous injustices homosexuals are forced to endure. As they cannot marry, they are cheated out of the rights and benefits that any other heterosexual citizens are entitled to. THIS IS INJUSTICE.

Ancient hebrew law required a man to become the husband of a deceased brother's widow. Tradition once held that in order to vote, you must be a land owning white male. Marriage rights are not given to people by a church, they are given by law. The constitution grants us freedom from the religious ideologies of our brothers.
