A homosexual advocacy group (you hear that, and you can't NOT be suspicious) is holding a celebration of the 40 "gay heroes" (why on earth homosexuals feel the need to idolize others who share their sexual choices is mind boggling), and in Philadelphia during their discussion of "gay icons in U.S. history" they will discuss Abraham Lincoln. A book was written by HOMOSEXUAL psychologist and "sex researcher" (another term that should sound some alarm bells) named C. A. Tripp, in which he claimed that Abe Lincoln was homosexual. Of course, there's nothing to that claim, it's the usual homosexual agenda point of demanding all of us embrace their lifestyle choices, and it always helps to claim great American leaders were gay.
Many highly respected Lincoln scholars have attacked the claims in the book, of course, and they have pointed out that the flimsy "evidence" Tripp uses to suggest Lincoln was gay doesn't hold up. Letters to one young male companion of Lincoln's ended in "yours forever," but Lincoln often times ended letters to numerous men and male leaders with this phrase.
It seems to me this is yet another example of the push by homosexual groups to force their lifestyle into the mainstream anyway they can. I, as I have mentioned here and on my website, believe that homosexuality has to be considered a mental disorder in an indirect way...in that, homosexuality is a choice, but the desire to act out deviant sexual relationships is, iself, the disorder (homosexuality was, until very recently, labeled a disorder before political correctness took over), because it completely defies nature. Living a lifestyle that is abhorrant to nature's clear plan has to be labeled a mental disorder to some degree. I think that along with this mental disorder comes the desire for those inflicted with it to demand an embrace of their situation, their choice (and I do believe it is a choice as well...one can have a mental disorder and deal with it effectively, to what degree, that all depends...plus, as I mentioned, I would call it more of an indirect infliction- the underlying tendency to act out in unnatural ways sexually is the obvious root). Homosexual groups are often times demanding that they have things exactly their way- they want completely equal marriage rights, which would mean the destruction of an acient tradition that is the very basis of our society; they want equality in the military (they don't mind that open homosexuality among the ranks would cause serious damage to our armed forces), it seems as tho many of them want to be seen as a homosexual, which is odd since no other group of people on earth want to be known specifically for their choices in sexual practice.
Along with the above demands and desires of the homosexual community, I believe labeling American heroes as gay is also a major goal. It makes them feel better about themselves and their lifestyle. If you claim that Lincoln was gay, you can then use that as an attack on the Republican party, since Lincoln started the party...you can also claim that one of the greatest American presidents was on your side, playing for your team, and with that comes power. Such claims tho, just because they're put into a book, don't become true.
In the final analysis, there's no real evidence that Lincoln ever had a homosexual encounter, let alone a gay lifestyle. He was clearly a religious Christian, and the homosexual claims are also, in a way, an attack on his religion (another favorite topic of homosexual groups). The claims don't stand up, and hailing Lincoln as a "closeted American leader" is nothing but show. It's simply a tactic to try to bring respect to a movement (the push for gay marriage, embracing of the lifestyle itself, etc) that, frankly, doesn't deserve it.
