A female boxer was killed during a match...I have to inform all the world- BOXING IS NOT A SPORT. BOXING IS THE HOBBY OF FOOLS. I mean, come on...two men or two women who get into a ring and punch each other until one falls down and basically passes out? That's the very definition of stupidity. It's barbaric and pointless. Don't give me some nonsense about how it takes skill and such- anyone can get into a ring and beat someone up and duck punches.
If you went out into the street and saw two guys punching each other for a half hour, you'd say- those guys are insane! But, pay the two guys millions of dollars, put them on TV, and it's called a sport. Ludicrous!!
Reminds me of tattoos. If you saw someone take a marker and draw a colorful picture on their skin, you'd wonder about their sanity, BUT, if you pay a hundred bucks and have some scary looking guy draw a picture on your skin that will be there FOREVER, it's hip and it's cool. Mind boggling.
Back to boxing, I personally think boxers should be taken out back and beaten until they're unable to get into the ring. I'd say we should take them out and beat them until they get some sense, but they box to begin with, so I don't think they have any sense to begin with.
I feel bad for this lady who died and her family must be suffering, but let's do all we can to discourage nonsense like boxing to begin with. People who relish the chance to watch people bloody each other up are not sports fans, they're barbarians. That should tell us all we need to know right there.
I am an aspiring female boxer, and it is not about knocking each other out its really about endurance. Obviously, you have never boxed before, because it is hard, and it does take skill. That's like saying wrestling is stupid, and I don't mean WWE, I mean the type that they allow in schools, and that martial arts are stupid as well. No one goes into the ring thinking they want to hurt the other person in the sense of killing, or serverly damaging them. What happened to Becky Zerlentes was really sad but this is something that she loved. People die in all types kinds of situations, stunt doubles have died on sets before, so does that make them stupid as well? You don't know what it is like to be a boxer, and people want to be boxers for all different reasons, so it really is unfair for you to spit on the dreams of other people when you have no idea why they become boxers and what it really takes.
What a whiny pussy. Boxing is the greatest sport there is.
