I think it's time for news agencies to STOP writing obituaries BEFORE people die. Most news outlets have obits written for famous people who are NOWHERE near death, like Sharon Osbourne (whose prewritten obit was posted on the web a couple years ago.) The practice is first and foremost creepy...very very creepy, it's disrespectful, AND they're written before the facts are even made clear.
Terri Shiavo's obituary was posted on the cbsnews site for a couple hours today by mistake, and it was written that her husband, Michael was at her bedside when she died. This is absurd, since it's an event that hasn't even happened yet, plus- it smells of bias to me, considering the fact that before she's even dead, they're trying to make the husband look like the hero at her bedside as she passes on.
Glenn Beck posted the CBS story on his site here:

Part of the article makes no sense, and it mentions that Terri barely made passing grades in high school. Why on earth is this important to this story? It's rude and unnecessary, and CBS should be ashamed if you ask me.
The story, as you can see, has way too many facts that are yet unknown, so it's mind boggling why they even waste their time writing a story that will have to be totally rewritten when, oh ya know- those little things called FACTS actually become available (then again, CBS News has proven they're not very good with the facts to begin with, so maybe this shouldn't be too shocking.)
I am extremely disgusted as CBS News. This story itself proves their bias in reporting, which in turn says to all Americans that we shouldn't trust a word those at CBS tell us. If you read the full story, you'll find that it completely attacks the pro-life side of all of this and props up Michael Shiavo. CBS does all they can in this story to show support for Michael and his view, while attacking the view of the parents and all those who agree with them. It's the sad of network news today...which is why network news is currently dying a slow death. Let's hope someone accidentally posts the prewritten obituary for CBS News, maybe they'll be gone sooner rather than later.
It's time all news outlets stop this somewhat depraved practice. If you're looking for time saving measures, show some respect when doing so...save time on other stories, not deaths that haven't even happened yet.
