One Less Thing for Them to Attack

When President Bush first took office, I bought into the liberal media's attacks and figured the guy might be a little slow...I have found that that is completely not the case, and it's clear to any reasonable honest person that the man is very bright, by any standards. I went along with the mainstream media's attacks when Bush pronounced "nuclear" sorta funny, but that was years ago, and I have seen the bias for what it is in most of the big media...

Anyhow, it seems that his pronunciation of the world is an official alternate in most dictionaries. Here is the entry from Merriam-Webster's dictionary. It seems the Bush-haters have one less thing to attack, tho, let's face it- even with this information, they;ll still blindly attack him.

- - - - - - - - - - - -

Main Entry: nu·cle·ar
Pronunciation: 'nü-klE-&r, 'nyü-, ÷-ky&-l&r
Function: adjective
1 : of, relating to, or constituting a nucleus
2 a : of or relating to the atomic nucleus b : used in or produced by a nuclear reaction (as fission) c (1) : being a weapon whose destructive power derives from an uncontrolled nuclear reaction (2) : of, produced by, or involving nuclear weapons (3) : armed with nuclear weapons d : of, relating to, or powered by nuclear energy
usage

Though disapproved of by many, pronunciations ending in \-ky&-l&r\ have been found in widespread use among educated speakers including scientists, lawyers, professors, congressmen, U.S. cabinet members, and at least one U.S. president and one vice president. While most common in the U.S., these pronunciations have also been heard from British and Canadian speakers.

Mike McCurry- Crazy Magical Powers?

I have just made a huge discovery, and it will blow you away.

Mike McCurry is magic. Yes, he is magic.

A few minutes ago, he was debating Mary Matlin on NBC's Today- and the graphic said "LIVE," plus there was a clock on the screen that said the current time...plus, the Today show is always live.

BUT- I turned it to Fox News and McCurry was on Fox and Friends, and their graphic also said "LIVE," and that show is always aired live as well.

This, my friends, is akin to the Watergate investigation and the decoding of DNA, and you have me to thank for it. Don't ask me how McCurry did this magic- maybe he's a demon sent to earth in human form...or maybe he's a practitioner of some secret Haitian voodoo, I dunno- either way, that shit was scary.

Reviewers Show Bias by Ignoring Swift Boat Vets Book

[Sep. 26th, 2004|10:46 pm]
Very good point the liberal media should take to heart. It won't be long before this obsessively biased news outlets go by the wayside anyhow...

Book Reviewers Tout Kelley's Anti-Bush Screed, But Ignore 'Unfit for Command'

From NewsMax.com

The book that turned the 2004 presidential race on its head - "Unfit for Command" by John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi - has yet to be formally reviewed by the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and most other mainstream U.S. newspapers, despite sitting atop the New York Times best-seller list now for four weeks in a row. [Check out our freee offer for "Unfit for Command" -- Go here now.]

Next week "Unfit's" reign at the top ends, at least in the New York paper, with Kitty Kelley's book on the Bush family "dynasty" supplanting it in the number one spot.

No surprise here . . . considering the unusual amount of positive press coverage Kelley has received.

Meanwhile, the O'Neill-Corsi book was clearly a grassroots hit receiving much less media attention than Kelley's screed.

Despite the fact mainstream book reviewers couldn't find the time to review "Unfit for Command" -- the most significant political book of the season, the Kelley's anti-Bush tome -- chock full of discredited allegations and debunked claims -- has received virtual wall-to-wall coverage.

The old media's coverage of Kelley's work includes book reviews by the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times and dozens of other venues. Book reviewers at the New York Times and the Washington Post both weighed in on Kelley's opus on Sept. 14.

Not to mention three days worth of consecutive Kelley guest shots on NBC's "Today Show" - which all but guaranteed hundreds of thousands of book sales. Needless to say, O'Neill and Corsi are still waiting for their invitation from Katie and Matt.

On the dearth of mainstream coverage for "Unfit," one publishing insider complained to NewsMax, "I'm not aware of any mainstream review. It's like the book hasn't been published."

Insane Celebs, The 9/11 Fund, Matter of Character

Proving that "celebrities" are out of touch with reality- Britney Spears gets married a few months after a 55 hour marriage to some new guy she's been with, what 4, 5, 6 months at the most? Jennifer Lopez who is with a different guy everyday, engaged to ten million people, married to 20 million, married has-been singer, Marc Anthony, and Anthony just dumped his wife after she had their kid...Then again, Britney's "husband" just dumped his ex who just had another one of their kids. You have to constantly ask yourself- what is wrong with these people?

That new series LOST on ABC is odd so far...I don't even get what it's supposed to be about- a regular lost on an island show, or a weird sci-fi show with weird creatures attacking people? They should have advertised the show better...since, it's impossible to tell what type of show it is so far. According to the internet movie database, the pilot is the most expensive ever made, costing $5 million. That is just insane...how 45 mins of tv can cost $5 is just mind boggling.
----------------------------------
Now, call me crazy, but I think it's shameful for a family of someone who died in the Sept 11 terrorist attacks to take federal money- and it's REALLY shameful to take an average of $2.7 million per family...especially after the billions given to charities that were doled out to the families of those who died or were injured. Shameful, because- tragedy shouldn't just automatically make you eligible for money, especially not money funded by the taxpayers who are already looted of much of their pay as it is.

I didn't know much about this, but this is just disgusting. I mean, the attacks were awful, it's sad that people died, but that shouldn't give you the right to suddenly become money-hungry (if you took federal aid and millions in charity- that is the very definition of money-hungry)...and as Jacoby points out- what makes these victims so special? Are the victims in the WTC special for some reason? No. Just as we don't give government handouts of millions to victims of tornadoes or hurriances, we shouldn't have given billions to families who lost loved ones in the attacks. Not only is it NOT the government's job to be doing such a thing, but it's also not fair to other Americans who have died in whatever other situation.

If I lost a family member in the attacks, I surely wouldn't think it my right to accept a dime of the federal money. I think some people are confusing the attacks with a weekly game called the lottery.

WHY THE 9/11 FUND WAS A MISTAKE
By Jeff Jacoby
The Boston Globe

Sunday, September 26, 2004

The fund established by Congress to compensate the families of those who died on Sept. 11 closed its books earlier this year. According to Kenneth Feinberg, the special master appointed to administer the fund, all but a handful of the families eligible to apply for an award did so. All told, 2,878 families received tax-free payments averaging nearly $2.1 million apiece. Payments were also made to another 2,675 people, mostly rescue workers, who were injured that day at Ground Zero or the Pentagon.

All told, the government disbursed nearly $7 billion - roughly $1 billion for those who were injured and $6 billion for the families of those who died.

Feinberg, an experienced arbitrator and former chief of staff to Senator Ted Kennedy, has been widely praised for the skill and efficiency with which he administered the fund, and for the sensitivity he brought to the wrenching job of meeting with grieving families and putting a dollar amount to the lives of their loved ones. Those who know him describe him as a man of sincerity, intelligence, and goodwill. So when he says that the federal payout was a "good idea" - as he did during a recent forum at the John F. Kennedy presidential library in Boston - it might seem reasonable to take his word for it.

But the government fund was *not* a good idea. And Feinberg is too honest not to acknowledge its gaping problems.

To begin with, there was the injustice of having the feds bestow multimillion-dollar jackpots on the Sept. 11 families when countless other families struck by tragedy get nothing. Asked at the Boston forum why the death of an employee in the World Trade Center is more deserving of compensation than the death of a hurricane victim in Florida, Feinberg acknowledged that "from the perspective of the victims," it isn't. There was no satisfactory way, he confessed, to answer the letters that came from other shattered families:

"Dear Mr. Feinberg, my son died at Oklahoma City. Where's my check?"

"Dear Mr. Feinberg, my daughter died in the African embassy bombings in 1997 in Kenya. How come I'm not eligible?"

"Dear Mr. Feinberg, my wife died in the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, committed by *the very same people.* How come I'm not getting a check?"

"I even got a letter," he recalled, "from somebody who said, 'Mr. Feinberg, my husband last year saved three little girls from drowning in the Mississippi River, and then he went under and drowned: a hero. Where's my check?'"

But the sheer unfairness of the federal fund wasn't the only thing wrong with it. With so much money at stake, the program predictably caused feuds and bad blood.

"You would get situations like this," Feinberg said. " 'Mr. Feinberg, I'm the brother of the victim. Don't let my sister get a nickel. The victim hated his sister, trust me.' Then the sister comes in. 'Is my brother spreading rumors. . .? My [deceased] brother and I loved each other.'

"Or: 'Mr. Feinberg, I'm the biological parent of my son who was killed. Don't you dare give the fiancee any money. That marriage was never going to take place.' Then the fiancee comes in. `We were going to be married on October 11th.' And you go back to the biological parent. 'They were going to be married October 11th. You threw a shower for them. You said you were gaining a daughter, not losing a son.' 'Yeah, but on Sept. 10, my son told me it was off.'"

Then there was the issue of private charity.

Awards from the federal compensation fund were reduced by the amount of any insurance proceeds the families received (in effect punishing the relatives of victims who had been responsible enough to plan ahead). Yet they were not reduced to offset any charity the survivors collected. Which meant, in many cases, that the government ended up paying a fortune to people who had already collected a fortune from private donors. USA Today reported in 2002 that relatives of New York police officers received an average of $929,000 in charitable funds. The families of firefighters and ambulance crews got $1,037,000. Those gifts, too, were tax-free.

An estimated $2.8 billion was donated by millions of Americans following the 9/11 attacks. Billions more came pouring in as in-kind goods and services - everything from food and air travel to financial planning and slots at children's camps. Well before Congress created the federal compensation fund, individual donors and private charities were stepping up to the plate, demonstrating their compassion with the extraordinary generosity that is so often the hallmark of ordinary Americans. There was no reason for the government to get involved.

"When you really look at all the problems you confront with a program like this," Feinberg said in Boston, it's "a fair question whether any of this is a good idea. . . . I don't think people should . . . assume that this is a precedent that we're going to repeat."

Let us hope he's right.

(Jeff Jacoby is a columnist for The Boston Globe.)
----------------------------------------------------
I'm reading the book, A MATTER OF CHARACTER: Inside the White House of George W. Bush, and in it, the author talks about how a few celebrities called President Bush stupid because he has a C average for part of his time at Yale. The author, Ronald Kessler, mentions the following:

Cher called Bush "stupid" and "lazy." Martin Sheen said Bush was
a "moron." Actor Larry Hagman called Bush a "sad figure" who was "not too
well educated." Yet if Bush was not an outstanding student, he was in
good company. Bush's record was identical to Franklin Roosevelt's at
Harvard. In fact, nine presidents, including George Washington, Abraham
Lincoln, and Harry S. Truman, never earned a college degree. Moreover,
Cher dropped out of high school; Sheen flunked out of high school,
finally finishing with summer courses; and Hagman dropped out of Bard
College after a year.

Thomad Edison did so poorly in school he was told by his headmaster he
would "never make a success of anything." Albert Einstien could not read
until he was seven. He hated school and dropped out at the age of
fifteen. "You will never amount to anything," one of his teachers told

him...Peter Jennings dropped out of high school at the age of seventeen.
Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, left Harvard after two years...Henry
Ford dropped out of high school at the age of sixteen."

A nice laugh at the Bush-haters thanks to some simple facts. Then again, who in their right mind listens to the opinion of a high school dropout who has made a career of horrible singing in flaky concert tours? Or a radical liberal actor who barely has a career outside of the god-awful West Wing. Or, Hagman- well, I can't name a thing he's done in the past 20 years.

I found this information funny.

Alba, Joe, Books

I just noticed I have around 15 or so episodes of THE DISTRICT that started airing on USA on my DVR...it says space unavailable when I try to record anything.

I was watching this Jessica Alba movie earlier called Paranoid- very weird, very dull overall...didn't watch the end, since the DVR thought it was recording two things all of a sudden (don't ask me why) and switched off the channel and wouldn't go back...

I buzzed my hair today with the thing that came with my beard trimmer- it's hard to use, because the thing doesn't have as much power as regular hair trimmers would, and it's smaller, not to mention it runs off the battery and you can't plug it in and use it- when it's plugged in, it won't turn on, but instead sits there and charges up. I should mention I only got the front of my head done- well, shorter, I'll need it shorter still and more even, but the back I didn't get to, because it ran out of power- got caught in my hair actually, and that hurt like heck.

I went to the new library that built tonight- very nice, tho I only went into the dvd/vhs/popular materials (adult fiction) area and the main area you have to walk thru to get in from the back. It's sort of laid out like a mall- in that there's a large open area and big doorway-like areas to go into different areas with particular items. They only have one checkout now, instead of the old way where they had a checkout for videos and one for everything else- that meant long lines, but probably just because it's new and all, and people are coming to check it out.

I need to go again when I have more time and check out the other areas...I felt really embarassed, because I had no idea where to check my dvd's out, and I felt dumb asking the lady at the information desk- tho, I don't know why I should have.

That GI Joe: Valor VS Venom movie was pretty good...I watched it last night- well, it was more like Wed. morning near 3:30 AM. Nice plot, some enjoyable adult-friendly humor here and there, slick animation, action and adventure, it was very well made...even if I am 25, and it's really a movie for, well, younger people.

I finished UNFIT FOR COMMAND- and it's obvious that the attacks on these guys are unfounded. O'Neill seems to be a standup guy, and no one can deny many of the things Kerry did are just completely disgraceful, and his entire career is basically a flip flop- the guy always runs as a war hero, yet he still stands by his statements and actions that the entire US military in Vietnam was wrong and corrupt and committing war crimes on a daily basis, and that he took part in those war crimes- you can't have it both ways. Yet, he somehow does...tho, in this race, the entire country is looking on him, and Americans, overall, are smart enough to see the truth. Good for our President, bad for Mr. Kerry.

I picked up that Joe Scarborough book today, and will start reading it soon...

You should check out the new Nickelodeon series- Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Funny stuff. I'm off.

Finder's Fee

Just watched that movie, FINDER'S FEE I had recorded on the DVR from a couple of weeks ago. Really good movie- tho it lagged in the middle with all the meaningless guy talk. Weird ending that was, well- somewhat contrived, but ultimately flawed in it's reasoning...you'd have to see the film to understand that the ending ultimately wouldn't work out, but it was enjoyable. Reminded me of SUICIDE KINGS for some reason- probably the card game with all the guy talk.

Speaking of which- trivia for ya...I carry a suicide king in my wallet at all times. Don't ask me why.

Elder, GI Joe, and Daria

I was quite surprised to see that Larry Elder (the sage!) has his own daytime talk show...it's on here at 1 AM, so call it daytime if you want, but he has it and it's airing here on the local Fox affiliate.

It seems like a Maury-type show...he's got some guy who tells his wife he's gay on the next show, and the wife wants to keep the family together, and on the show right now- it's a couple and the wife cheated on the guy...doesn't seem like the type of show he'd do, but who knows...

I went the other day and bought the Batman: The Animated Series DVD and the Ultimate dawn of the dead dvd set- 3 or 4 discs. Today, I went to get some floppy disks to see if I could boot up my computer with a boot disk using the other PC (I'm using my old one now, still can't get the new machine to work unless I buy a used copy of WinXP on e bay or something when I get paid next week.), anyhow...I went to Wal-Mart, and in electronics, I wasn't seeing floppies, so I was looking at DVD's for a minute, and I picked up the Justice League movie, but put it down and bought GI Joe Venom vs Valor- or is it Valor vs Venom- whichever one it is. Don't ask me why, but it was only 12 bucks.

Glad I'm off tomorrow- I can get some things done. I want to go by the newly opened library to see what it looks like and all. I also need a fricken haircut, so I guess I should TRY to get up early, that way there won't be tons of people there, and it's so much more calm and not so stressful. I hate getting my hair cut period, let alone with tons of people surrounding me.

Off to watch Daria- that show I never used to watch on MTV, but it's on the N (noggin), and I've started taping it...I like it, even if Daria is a bit annoying as a character. Her dad is funny, and her friendship with Jane is interesting and all...

Rather Must Resign

There's no longer any doubt. CBS is out to bring an end to the Bush presidency. Dan Rather, tonight, admitted that they actively went and seeked out Bill Burkett- a long time democrat, and more importantly a man who hates Bush with a passion, and that he was, indeed, the source of the forged documents.

First off- any reasonable journalist would not seek this man out who has blamed Bush for all sorts of crazy things and hates him like he does. From all I have read about Burkett- he's a nutjob. This shows us that they would go to anyone and find ANY documents to bring down Bush. Secondly- the very experts CBS had on their show said DO NOT GO WITH THESE DOCUMENTS- they're not reliable...yet they ignored 2 of the experts and used 2 experts on the show, tho those 2 have said they were misled and their findings were distorted.

Next, Rather stonewalls, claims there is no doubt that the story is true...he blames the political operatives with Bush as the ones questioning the documents. He then uses a woman who hates Bush and says he was "selected not elected" as evidence that- the documents MIGHT be fact, he won't even say that much...BUT, that the ideas and accusations in them are all true. Again, an unreliable source who discredits herself with her own statements, but Rather uses her anyhow...why? One can only guess that he is gungho (as are others at CBS) to sway the election in November away from Bush. That's the most reasonable conclusion there is.

Now, Rather has come out and admitted the documents came from nutjob Burkett, and that he didn't come to them, they went looking for him...even after they knew he was an unstable, bitter old man who hated Bush and would most likely do anything in an attempt to make him look bad.

This says a lot- I think it's time Dan Rather resigns. He no longer has any credibility, and he can no longer be trusted on any news issues, let alone major national news issues.

Also- I noticed a story last night talking about the inaccurate reporting in regards to a Bush campaign stop. Some news outlets reported that Bush supporters booed when the president wished Bill Clinton good health when he had heart surgery. Only thing- they didn't boo, and the story has been retracted. People in the audience have spoken out and said there was never any booing, but an "ahh." Nice to know the media is fully competent to report the news! Uh huh.

Unfit for Command

I'm reading Unfit for Command, and whether or not you choose to believe what John O'Neill and others have to say about Kerry and what transpired in Vietnam, it's hardly a matter of debate that 1. John Kerry has used his 3 months in Vietnam as a basis for every campaign for office. 2. that John Kerry is an opportunist related to Vietnam- I mean, come on- the guy gets 3 tiny wounds (his first purple heart he applied for after receiving a scratch from hostile fire, as Kerry claims- tho the record shows the shrapnel was most likely from a grenade, from a launcher that Kerry fired that night,), and leaves Vietnam after 3 months...then uses these 3 months as the basis for his entire political career. His website lists that he did 2 tours of duty, but he actually spent his first "tour" on a ship that was off the coast of Vietnam, not in battle, and spent some of the time off the US coast. 3. John Kerry gave aid and comfort with his actions to the enemy. The guy is claiming that the American military was like the army of Ghengis Khan, at a time of war for chrisssakes! If that isn't aid and comfort, I don't know what is.

You also cannot deny that Kerry was lying when he spoke in front of congressional meetings about Vietnam. There is no evidence to suggest that it was US military policy to commit war crimes. No doubt some crimes were committed, but there's no way it was systematic as Kerry claimed, and there's surely no way it was official US policy and that every officer at every level knew about such actions and urged such actions, as Kerry also claimed.

These few things we know are true tell us much about Kerry's character, and who is more likely telling the truth- the handful of men supporting Kerry, tho not supporting many of his "facts" about what took place in Vietnam (that's a big point, even those who support Kerry don't confirm his claims, and many are actively against them), or are we to believe the 300+ men who signed a letter to Kerry after his primary victory this year? My money is on the 400...not only because we know Kerry lied about war crimes, we also know much about the character of the swift boat vets for truth, and to claim they're lying and it's a big campaign against Kerry just doesn't make any sense. Even Kerry's allies attack his ant-war activities and dispute many of the claims he's made about his service...not to mention the fact that throughout the years Kerry, himself, has actually contradicted his version of different events that supposedly took place while he was in Vietnam.

Put the facts we know to be true together, and any reasonable person would have to conclude that John Kerry is not a reliable source on the issue, and that fact isn't being called into play by most of the media out there.

Attacks on Electoral College- Bad Idea

There's a push by a group in Colorado to change the way voting works and split the electoral vote of the state based on popular vote...awful idea, since, as would be the case in a national election if popular vote was what counted- the candidates would go to the largest cities in the state and totally ignore the smaller cities and rural areas, because to get the popular vote you need more people period, not more people spread out throughout the entire state. The electoral college is the system that we've had since our nation's inception, and there's a reason for this- it's the best system and the most fair system out there. If more states did this, rural and small-town Americans wouldn't count at all...candidates could merely go to a few states with large electoral vote counts and never, and I mean NEVER visit the smaller states- which would be like slapping the smaller and less populated states in the face.

Hopefully, this measure won't pass, because it doesn't do what they say it will do (make every vote count), it'll simply make the votes of citizens in Denver, Boulder, and other large cities count...and that's surely not fair.

John Kerry Distorts Iraq, Healthcare, and Contracts

Shameless John Kerry, whose recent comments I believe are harmful to our troops in Iraq, is making more harmul comments...claiming that the White House will make a big callup for national guard troops in November after the election, which the Pentagon says is totally untrue. Fear tactics the dems always use- along with trying to scare people that blacks will be kept from voting and elderly Americans will be cut off from healthcare (both untrue.)

Kerry attacked Dick Cheney today as well, claiming that Cheney is receiving money from Haliburton (2 million dollars), and that he had something to do with that companies contracts in Iraq. 1. Haliburton got many contracts, because their one of the few companies that could take on such a task. And 2. Congressional investigators, looking into the matter, said that Cheney had nothing to do with Haliburton's contracts in Iraq, and that the money Cheney will receive from Haliburton is A. a fixed amount, and it won't change depending on how well that company does, and B. it's merely part of his retiremnt package. Kerry's scare tactics, as you can see, are based on distortions of the truth.

A new electoral poll shows the president taking over 280 votes in November and Kerry taking around 211...which means the president is the clear frontrunner...also, the new gallup poll shows the president ahead by 10-13 pts when surveying likely voters. Other polls show a closer race, but as I mentioned, the electoral votes are what counts, plus the state-by-state polls show Bush the clear leader as well. Noting these facts, it's clear to see why the Kerry campaign is using fear tactics and lies, as they become ever more desperate.

Moveon's Assault Weapon Lie

Moveon has a new ad that shows an AK47, and the ad claims it can shoot up to 300 rounds a minute, and thanks to President Bush, terrorists and anyone else can now get their hands on the gun. Problem with that is- it's a lie, and they surely know it. The AK47, and ALL fully automatic weapons are outlaws...the AK47 has been banned since 1934 (it was created in '47 but banned under the '34 law).

Lies from moveon? Shocking!

Un-American: Kerry's Speech and the Fools at Moveon

A few points.

First, John Kerry who spoke to the national guard organization and told them that the president lied to them about Iraq, he lied about this, he lied about that...he basically is putting them in harms way for a lie. BIG problem with saying this. As a member of Congress, John Kerry is endangering this nation's safety, and the safety of our military men and woman...he is also doing all he can to kill morale. This is the very essence of what is definitely un-American rhetoric. A sitting member of Congress cannot say these things, especially since his claims are based on lies backed up by NO evidence, and has been disproved by a bipartisan group.

Kerry also went on about how Bush is to blame for the troops not having body armor and goggles. This is not only a lie, but it's hysterical, considering the fact that John Kerry (who voted FOR the war) refused to vote for the necessary funding that paid for such things. He was one of a handful in congress who stooped so low as to vote against the funding, putting our troops in danger. To hear Kerry talk about funding for the troops, it's like watching a bad B-horror movie...scariest thing of all, he's actually SERIOUS and says this with a straight face!!

Secondly, the fools at moveon have a new ad out that depicts a US soldier sinking in quick sand, holding his gun above his head as if to surrender...and the word "quagmire" comes up on the screen. The voiceover says that Bush caused the quagmire that exists in Iraq, and the only way to get out of it is a new president. This is so anti-american, it's plain scary. This is like spitting on the troops over in Iraq, it's shameful, it's disgusting, it's the work of people who don't deserve the freedom they have to spread their hateful propaganda. It's a shame that our men and women have fought for the rights that these idiots abuse on a daily basis. Not only is their ad dangerous to America- it sends a terrible message to our troops in Iraq, and they're basically telling the troops risking their lives- sorry, you guys might lose. There is no quagmire...and there are numerous reports thanks to Fox News of much of the good happening in Iraq, and we've seen hundreds of troops in that nation talk about how the majority of the media have it wrong, that things aren't that bad, and that many people welcome them and thank them, etc.

Moveon is, by the way, is the group that has compared our president to Hitler...they have claimed the president lied about Iraq- tho, again, both parties looked at the Iraq war and agreed, no such lying took place, no misleading, no coercion, etc. They also compare Fox News to communist propaganda. Sad to think millions of idiotic Americans and many outside of the country even listen to anything this hateful, vitriolic group says.

Terry McAuliffe's Childish Behavior

Despite the fact that a bipartisan finding says that there was no lying or misleading of the American people by ANY on the Iraq issue...Terry McAuliffe still, today, claimed that Bush mislead the country into war. He couldn't defend John Kerry's NEW position on Iraq...on Don Imus, Kerry said under current circumstances, nothing could have been enough to go to war (his 9th position? 10th?)...despite the fact that records show Americans 1. don't care about what happened 40 yrs ago in the national guard, and 2. Bush was honorably discharged and DID fulfill is obligations in the guard- McAuliffe claims Bush is lying and has been lying for 35 years- plus, the DNC has two commercials out on the issue, chock full of lies.

Finally, on Fox News, McAuliffe was interviewed with Ed Gillespie, and he made fun of republicans, saying they probably couldn't even spell "likely," when discussing a poll of likely voters. More hateful comments from the left, and a negative agenda for the country. Watching both chairmen is a joke- it's like watching Gillespie who is an adult and makes valid points and the bratty child McAuliffe who defies bipartisan findings calling Bush a liar nonstop and actually stooping low enough to call republicans stupid and that they can't spell. Why anyone is supporting this party is confusing...it's telling that so many democrats are going on cable news networks talking about how they're ashamed of their party. Pat Caldwell and Zell Miller being two prime examples.

UN Head Nuts- Calls Iraq War Illegal

I'm sorry, but it's time for the United States to get out of the UN and kick them out of NYC. Kofia Annan has come out to say that the war in Iraq is illegal...not only did the main body within the UN ignore the threat posed by Saddam to his neighbors, and in the end- the world, but they also refused to do anything to remove the killer from power and topple his regime, freeing the Iraqi people. Now, the head of the UN is calling the ousting of a MASS MURDERER illegal. A nation that speaks and then ACTS, unlike much of Europe and most of the big UN members, is not a nation that needs to waste its time with this nonsense. We need to form a legit world body that does not include rogue nations as part of the discussion, and a group that doesn't go to brutal countries like communist China on important issues facing this planet. It's almost funny, but it's way too serious to laugh at.

You'd think the purpose of a world body like the UN would be the cause of freedom around the world, not sitting around doing nothing while a murdering dictator like Saddam Hussein tortures, rapes, and kills his own people. That fact alone tells us that the UN is a joke. Not to mention their constant attacks on Israel- many nations in the UN refuse to even recognize that the nation exists...or the fact that the UN is made up of cruel nations like China- where hundreds are executed everyday for doing what is free and legal and common in most parts of the civilized world.

The time has come to stop relying on the UN. The group has plenty of words on all sorts of topics, but when it comes to action- they're missing in action.

Carl Bernstein Joins the Idiot Brigade/ Stupid 'Reality' TV

Carl Bernstein was on Hannity and Colmes and said there's little doubt that Bush didn't fulfill his guard duties. Of course, that's silly, since there's no evidence to suggest this, and only partisan hacks are claiming as such. He also said that Bush is violating the Constitution- I don't know how or in what way he thinks this is the case...but, it goes to show you, suppoed-legendary reporters can be complete idiots too.

-----------------------------

If you ever watch the Soup on E!, you'll have seen clips of this ridiculous UPN series, the player- a totally absurd 'gameshow' (reality it is not) where a bunch of "players" try to woo this completely ghetto sounding girl who always eliminated the fools with the phrase- 'game over player, don't hate the player, hate the game.' I was flipping thru the channels a second ago and that show was on. First big problem was that the weirdo blonde, surfer-sounding guy who was acting like a total idiot in his little introduction was a finalist...and second thing I noticed, which I have noticed everytime I see a clip of this show is, what on earth is wrong with this Dawn girl's voice? Does she really sound that ghetto, or is it all an act for the show? She sounds like she just got off the bus from the hood and hasn't fully grasped the realities of the English language. She has this strange accent to her voice like she thinks she might be straight from the ghetto, and of course, that means she sounds uneducated and silly. I have to wonder what sort of people watch this garbage and why...better yet, how could anyone listen to this girl talk for more than 10 seconds without wanting to punch her?

Dan Rather Goes On 60 Mins 2 and Lies

You can officially call Dan Rather a liar now.

He was on 60 Mins 2 tonight to comment on the documents scandal. In his small piece, he claimed that the there was no evidence to suggest that the essence of the story was false...that no evidence existed to suggest Bush WASN'T given special treatment in the guard, and he claimed that no one even disputes this. BUT- we know this isn't true. The daughter of Barnes, the man who claims he put in special favors for Bush, has come forward to say her dad is lying for political gain, and that he's trying to help John Kerry. That is clearly evidence to suggest the claims are false, and it's certainly someone dispusting the claims.

Also, another guard officer who supposedly pushed thru favors for Bush and had people sugar-coat his record most probably couldn't have done so...he was retired 18 months before he supposedly called in favors, and everyone interviewed who was with the TX air natl guard at the time has said- he never pulled thru any favors, and he had no power once he was retired. This is evidence that kills CBS' claims in general, so that means Rather was lying when he said there was no dispute as to the overall facts.

Feel free to pass the word around- Rather might have been tricked with phony documents, but tonight he flatout lied to the American people. If this isn't grounds for immediate dismissal, nothing is...and this demands that the FEC look into the issue and curb CBS' habits of false reporting.

---------------------------------

The folks running CBS news are just shameless. They're defending their story now by using the word of the secretary of the man who supposedly wrote the documents. She says that the documents are phony, but the sentiments in the documents are real...big problem with her story tho, since she's a huge partisan who hates Bush. She has gone on record saying that Bush was "selected not elected"- tho, we all know that's just absurd...she also has said Bush is unfit for office. These two comments alone make anything she says void...you can't attack Bush as an appointed president, then claim that the tone of the documents is true. She's a partisan hack who cannot be trusted on this issue...and CBS is silly to use her as a defense. CBS holds no credibility to me, and I will never trust them with news again.

Voting Bloc Nonsense

Nice. It seems like many in DC are a bit insane. Many blacks in part of the city support Marion Barry for mayor- ya know, Marion Barry who was busted doing cocaine. It seems to me that, since he's black, black voters in the city will support him- it's the herd mentality...the 'us' versus 'them' mindset that is so common in black communities. Big problem with Barry, besides the fact that he refuses to answer if he's still on drugs or not, is- he promises to bring more federal money to the "poor" parts of the city- mainly black areas that are full of his supporters. That means, he wants to add to the victicrat mentality that plagues the black communities in many US cities...we're not to blame for the sorry state of our neighborhoods, we're oppressed, and more federal money is the answer...more federal money to keep more citizens on welfare, and the nonstop cycle will be sure to continue.

You don't think there's a herd mentality, and my comments are bigoted, you say? Well, look at the democratic party and blacks...in the minds of millions, a black republican isn't really black at all. What other racial group flocks to one party for no known reason, like blacks do with the democratic party? It's obscene, the ratio of dems to repubs. The brainwashing of many on the left- who always use the race card, and paint the right as racists who want to hang you and your family members works, and it's worked for decades. Sad, but it's true...It's always refreshing to see blacks who buck the trend and think independently of the rigid party lines.

This is not an uncommon phenomenon- blacks have, for some time, voted mostly democratic, and the reasoning behind that, to me, is puzzling. It does, however, have a lot to do with the mentality that blacks should stick together with other blacks, simply because they're black- how else do you explain support for coke-addicts like Barry or support of a murderer like OJ Simpson, or the 1992 riots in L.A.- which was, in essence, indirect support of a drug addicted motorist who refused to comply with police orders? There's only one reasonable answer, and it's the mentality I just mentioned.

(Just some info- I was interested in who has used this 'herd mentality' term before...and if you search google, besides 2 pages from my site that come up 2nd and 3rd, the first page that comes up is a geocities page that has a posted article by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Thought that was interesting.)

Muslim Denial of History

[Sep. 15th, 2004|02:59 pm]
In the muslim tradition of denying history, especially jewish history- the muslims who have taken control of the holiest site of judaism (and the third holiest of islam- its only holy, because muhammed, the nutjob, claimed to have had a dream where he ascended into heaven from jerusalem- a city he never visited in his life) are doing illegal work on the mount- doing what they can to cover up the jewish history to make it look as tho it's a muslim temple, and that jews were never there. Muslims do this sort of thing all the time- millions deny the holocaust ever took place, they claim jews were never in Israel- which proves it's their land, tho history shows the opposite, they claim a world jewry conspiracy, etc. Just disgusting. The Israel government, or better yet- the anti-jewish UN (they always condemn Israel for protecting itself, yet not once have they issues a resolution on "palestinian" terrorists), should get their acts together and demand access to all peoples of all faiths.

If you study the issue, you'll see that Jews were banned (any non-muslims actually) for years from entering the site, and that when Jews were allowed back in the area- muslims there would always harass them, to the point where police have to keep them away from the Jewish visitors (shocking- violence and islam...no way!) You will also find that the muslims are trashing the temple in many parts, and tearing down sacred structures in other parts...tho, oddly enough, there is no international outrage over these deplorable acts. The UN who always sees time to condemn Israel for everything they do, seems to have no time to find a solution to this serious problem. Funny how that works. This, I think, proves the fact the the majority of UN nations are inherently anti-Israel, and many of them are flatout anti-semitic. Why is it so many can protest the removal of a butcher who killed up to a million people, yet so few seem protest issues like this?

MRC Cyberalert- CBS News Drama Continues

CBS is full of hilariously absurd reporters!
------------------------
from today's media research center cyberalert:
1) Introducing a Tuesday CBS Evening News story on President
Bush's address to the National Guard convention in Las Vegas,
Dan
Rather, who has yet to answer any questions about the source or
agenda of whomever gave CBS the faked memos, had the chutzpah to
insist: "What some were waiting to see and hear was whether he
would finally fully address still unanswered questions about his
own service in the National Guard." John Roberts presumed that
Bush should take CBS's memos seriously, complaining: "The
President has yet to weigh in on new documents about his
National
Guard record made public last week by 60 Minutes." After an
audio
clip of First Lady Laura Bush saying the memos supposedly
written
by Jerry Killian "probably are forgeries," Roberts, though every
day another news outline undermines CBS's claims, had the
temerity
to lecture: "However, Laura Bush offered no evidence to back up
her claim, and CBS News continues to stand by its reporting."

Sean Penn: True Hollywood Idiot

The always idiotic Sean Penn, ya know- the actor who went to Hussein's Iraq and was used by Saddam for propaganda purposes...he's now comparing President Bush to Bin Laden, tho he says he's not political, and he doesn't support one cadidate over the other. Yeah, you're not political, and your movies are great, and I've seen them all. Uh huh.

Hollywood is full of idiots...so many it's mind boggling to me.

You have to wonder why such anti-American hatred spews out of Hollywood seemingly nonstop. How can one group of people be this out of touch with, not just Americans in general, but a little thing called reality?

I'd like to send Penn and the other Hollywood idiots on a boat trip...a sinking boat trip.

Demand Ban of Baseball Nuts

Baseball is dead. Let me change that- pro baseball is dead. Many of the players in the league are steroid-laden children with the tempers of insane men. The nonsense that occured with the Rangers is a prime example of this. BOYS, yes BOYS, who make tens of millions of dollars for PLAYING A GAME, are so child-like (that might not even be fair- it's too insulting to children) argue and fight with taunting fans, and then one of the Rangers's players throws a chair into the crowd, injuring two people, breaking one woman's nose. Yeah, tough guy- you can throw a chair at a woman, what a big fucking man you are. Kids used to look up to ball players- now, it seems, ball players are murderers (the nfl!) and violent freaks who assault fans.

woman injured by tossed chair at Rangers/A's game

The league won't do much, I doubt- but the fact is- the guy who threw the chair into the crowd needs to banned from major league baseball for the rest of his life. Hell, Pete Rose was banned for gambling! You break an innocent fan's nose, and a woman at that, and he'll probably get a fine and some suspension. I will probably write a letter to those at the top, demanding that they retake the game from these childish idiots who have hijacked it, and forbid this man and others who do anything like this from ever walking onto a pro field again. This is supposed to be America's pastime, America's game- we cannot have idiots like this taking over and putting such a stain on the sport.

Frank Francisco was arrested for assault

I urge you to write Commissioner Bud Selig and the Texas Rangers and demand they ban relief pitcher, Frank Francisco, from ever playing in the major leagues again. There is no excuse for assault and battery of a fan, and such an act should be grounds for permanent dismissal from the game.

Here are a few articles about the incident:

-----------------------

Now, I must mention that I do not condone heckling from the fans. The woman who was injured has contacted lawyers and is seeking to file suit- which I don't condemn, she was assaulted- something needs to be done. BUT, her husband was one of the fans heckling the Rangers' players, and that is uncalled for. It's childish behavior which is also unacceptable for adults- but, throwing a chair is also an unaccecptable act. As an adult, he should have told them to stop, and if they continued on- he should have ignored it. Any attack/assault/whatever was uncalled for. So, the fans need to grow up as do the players. We have seen fans go insane at times- I forget what it was they were throwing onto the field during one game, I just remember seeing news coverage of stuff raining down on the field...this sort of thing has happened a few times that I can recall, and the fans need to stop acting like children as well, and the same goes for them- if you throw something at another fan and hurt them, or if you throw things at the players (one fan threw a cell phone at a player) you should also be banned from ever coming back to that park- you're a risk to those fans who want to have good, safe fun, and you're not wanted in our ball parks. Everyone in the game needs to realize just that- it's a game...a game played by men who make millions- more money than most of us will ever make in our entire lives, and we need to remember that.

Rather May Have Cost Kerry Election

from newsmax.com

Friday, Sept. 10, 2004 12:59 a.m. EDT
Caddell: Dan Rather May Have Cost Kerry the Election

Longtime Democratic strategist Pat Caddell said Friday that if documents aired by CBS newsman Dan Rather Wednesday night turn out to be forged, as alleged by experts, the presidential race "is over."

"It would be the end of the race," Caddell told Fox News Live. "It would be the end of the race," he repeated.

"[Democratic officials are] so involved in this," the former Carter pollster worried. "They have gotten themselves so involved in this issue [in] the last 24 hours that somebody's going to, if they're not authentic, they're going to be blamed for it. It's incredible to me that they've gotten in this."
Caddell said he wasn't trying to sensationalize the issue, explaining that instead "I'm trying to save my party, you know, by telling the truth."

He said that forfeiting the presidential race would be the least of his party's problems if Democrats are tied to any forgery scandal.

"The race is over – and we've got bigger problems than that," he warned.

Kerry's Disconnect and Scary Sense of "Humor"

I just saw a few national polls, and Bush is up even more than he was before. Liberal Juan Williams, NPR, said something about Kerry having to save his campaign when he was interviewed on Fox News- his own supporters don't think he can win- which ties into many polls taken recently. President Bush polls 80%+ on the question of- are you voting for Bush or against Kerry. Kerry, however, has only around 40% who are actually voting FOR HIM and 55% voting against Bush...again, even Kerry's "supporters" don't support him all that much. Not a good sign at all a mere 49 days out.

The piece below by Jeff Jacoby is an example of why Americans could never connect with a man like John Kerry, and he was crazy to even think he could connect with a tiny portion of the nation's people, let alone the tens of millions of supporters he would need to win the White House.

Then, you have the fact that Kerry called for Clinton to oust Hussein's regime from power in the late 90's, yet now he's saying the opposite...what makes it worse is the fact that- he called for US preemptive strikes to remove the regime in 1997 and the years after (maybe even before), BEFORE Sept 11. The world changed on Sept 11, and suddenly after the anti-war Dean was seen to be the most likely candidate, Kerry flipped and flopped to become the NEW anti-war candidate...and after the terrorist attacks that made it clear the world is a much dangerous place than previously thought. Bad move by Kerry, and just one of the many examples of why most people just don't like the guy, even those who will vote for him don't like him, and the polls show as much. Tho, is it that shocking that a multi-billionaire (adding his wife's wealth) liberal from New England, would be disliked by the majority of the American people?

HEARD THE ONE ABOUT KERRY'S SENSE OF HUMOR?
By Jeff Jacoby
The Boston Globe

Sunday, September 12, 2004

Just for laughs, you want to hear a little joke about shooting the president?

Presidential assassination -- now there's a funny topic. Just ask John Kerry. When the head of the United Mine Workers presented him with a semiautomatic shotgun during a Labor Day campaign stop in West Virginia, Kerry chortled, "I thank you for the gift, but I can't take it to the debate with me." High-larious!

How can you not love a candidate with such a robust sense of humor? The Massachusetts senator brings so much wit to the presidential race. Remember his wisecrack last spring about a bicycle accident that left President Bush with bruises on his face, hands, and knees? "Did the training wheels fall off?" He asked. Or his line in January about the man who is now his running mate? "When I came back from Vietnam in 1969," he said in Iowa, "I don't know if John Edwards was out of diapers then." Oh, that Kerry -- what a stitch!

For some reason people are forever commenting on how dour and stiff Kerry is. But it's a bum rap. As anyone who has followed his career knows, the guy's a regular Jackie Mason.

Take his great quip about Saddam Hussein's military back in 1997, when he was advocating an expansion of the NATO no-fly zone. "The Iraqi army is in such bad shape now," Kerry said, "even the Italians could kick their butts." Everyone split their sides, they were laughing so hard. Well, almost everyone. For some reason the Massachusetts state auditor, Joseph DeNucci, accused Kerry of uttering a "degrading, disgusting" ethnic slur. And a spokesman for the National Italian American Foundation said, "It was a totally inappropriate comment. What could he have been thinking?" Talk about your killjoys. There's just no pleasing some people.

A year earlier, when Kerry was running for re-election, he uncorked a priceless rib-tickler about his opponent, Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld. "This guy," he said on Don Imus's radio show, "takes more vacations than the people on welfare." Is that a hoot? And yet, believe it or not, some people didn't think it was funny. "I'm very insulted, very insulted," one welfare recipient told the Boston Globe. She obviously has no appreciation for sophisticated comedy.

Speaking of sophisticated comedy, have you heard the one about the camel and the ass? This must be Kerry's favorite joke, to judge from the frequency with which he told it during last year's primary campaign. Here it is, taken verbatim from his remarks to the Florida Democratic party convention in December:

"A little more than 5,000 years ago, Moses said, 'Hitch up your camel, lift up your shovel, mount your ass. I will lead you to the promised land.' Five thousand years later, Franklin Roosevelt said, 'Light up a Camel, lay down your shovel, sit on your ass. This is the promised land.' Today, George Bush will outsource your camel, tax your shovel, kick your ass, and tell you there is no promised land."

No doubt there are some grouches who would regard this as excruciatingly unfunny, not to mention an insult to FDR. ("Lay down your shovel, sit on your ass" was not exactly the motto of the Works Progress Administration.) But as any connoisseur of good humor will attest, you can't hear jokes like this even in the best comedy clubs.

Not only is Kerry a very funny fellow, he is a critic of other people's material. He certainly let Bush have it a few months ago for some dubious gags at the Radio and Television Correspondent's Dinner about the lack of chemical and biological weapons in Iraq. As Bush showed photographs of himself looking under furniture and behind the drapes in the Oval Office, he made comments like "Those weapons of mass destruction have to be somewhere" and "Nope, no weapons over there."

Apparently Bush never learned that some topics are not appropriate fodder for jokes, particularly from someone of national political stature. Kerry firmly set him straight.

"That's supposed to be funny?" Kerry asked. "If George Bush thinks his deceptive rationale for going to war is a laughing matter, then he's even more out of touch than we thought. Unfortunately for the President, this is not a joke." Thank Heaven at least one of the candidates for president knows that certain subjects are too grim to make light of.

Anyway, to get back to Kerry's jest about shooting the president: This is not a new theme for him. Back in 1988, during the first Bush administration, he made headlines with a similar knee-slapper about then-Vice President Dan Quayle.

"The Secret Service is under orders," Kerry told a business audience in Lynn, Mass., "that if Bush is shot, to shoot Quayle."

And to think that some people don't find him funny.

Franken's Lies/Maybe This is Why Air America is Bombing?

Quick note to Al Franken, who has spent so much time lying about Bill O'Reilly, how anyone could listen to the guy and see him as anything but a complete joke is amazing...Robert Novak isn't being accused of false reporting, CBS is- and numerous independent experts are attacking their claims- which means, Novak is NOT a hypocrite for demanding that CBS reveal their source, even tho in regards to Joe Wilson's wife- Novak won't reveal his sources. You cannot even begin to compare the two. One report is almost surely bogus, the other- no one is even suggesting it's bogus. Apples and oranges, but not shocking that you and your guests would portray both as apples.

A secondary note about the Novak issue- the guest Franken talked to claimed Novak outed a top secret CIA operative (she wasn't- she was a researcher)...and she (Franken's guest) claimed the White House outed her to embarass Wilson (remember- Wilson has been proved a liar...I wrote about this issue before. He claimed his trip to Africa shot down the Niger claims- but it actually bolstered the case...PLUS, Wilson claimed his wife had nothing to do with the trip, but it turns out he was only chosen for the trip because his wife said he would be good for the job- this was shown in his wife's e mails on the subject -READ MORE about the Joe Wilson lies here-)...the Franken guest (and Franken himself) claimed that Novak said the Bush admin gave him the info, but this is also untrue- they said this to bolster their unfounded claim that Bush outed the agent to embarass Wilson, but as you can see from the link above, Wilson did a perfectly good job of that himself. He killed any shred of respectability he ever had with his lies.

Next, the guest claimed that Bush is to blame for the weapon ban not being extended...claimed that in 1999 Bush needed the American people to vote for him, so he supported the ban, but flip-flopped now. BUT, she never mentioned 1. Bush has no control over such issues, being part of the executive branch...and 2. neither party in the House support extending the ban, so Bush could have done nothing even if he urged them to extend it- the votes just aren't there on EITHER SIDE of the aisle. She also claimed that come midnight, horrible guns would be on the street...but, she never mentions- that's insanely dishonest itself. You can go out and buy a legal gun that is twice as powerful and deadly as a gun on the "banned" list, so no reasonable person can claim that now there will be a mad rush to go out and buy horrible, deadly guns. Another thing that was implied, and has been implied by so many on the left, wishing to attack the President with this issue is- machine guns and similar types of guns are ALREADY banned, and the '94 ban had nothing to do with these guns. I've heard numerous people on the left claim that thanks to Bush- AK47's will be back on the streets. Too bad that is a blatant lie- considering ALL fully automatic weapons have been banned in the US since the 1930's.

Just completely debunked two issues Franken discussed on his radio show...if I had listened ten more minutes, I'm sure I could have come up with 10 more examples. I'll use a word Franken used on his show for Republicans...SHAMELESS.

UPDATE: Joe Wilson, who works for the Kerry campaign, used to have the website restorehonesty.com- and it was hosted and sponsored by the Kerry campaign. Seems that the site has been taken down, and it now just goes to johnkerry.com- guess when Wilson got caught in his many lies, the URL was just too much of a joke for even him to use. Shocking they took it down tho, because Wilson proved he has no shame.

UPDATE 2: It seems Wilson has been dumped from the Kerry campaign...and not only was his URL taken down, but there is no longer ANY mention of Joe Wilson on the John Kerry website. If you search "Wilson"- you can't find Joe Wilson anywhere. They also took the page off that contained the information Wilson claimed when he wrote his piece about honesty and how the Bush Administration lied to the American people. ALSO- I saved the page to my files (Kerry's people thought they could hide their lies, not quite)- and you will notice that every single link that is connected to the page has been removed entirely from the Kerry/Edwards site. So ironic.

Yet MORE Experts Debunk CBS Report

    When it rains, it pours...

Another document/forensic expert has said the documents are most probably phony. Fox News' Special Report had on Sandra Lines, a veteran forensics expert who discussed her findings after studying known signatures from Killian and the CBS documents. She says the documents show that these are not at all consistent with the same person signing his signature, and she looked at the other parts of the document- the text of the body itself, and concluded that- the documents are most probably phony.

As I mentioned- experts say, it's usually not easy or even possible sometimes to verify a document is real, but quite easy in comparison to be able to verify documents and signatures phony...and it seems every expert that comes forward is saying they are just that- phony. Even the sources CBS cited in their 60 Minutes piece, as I posted a min. ago are denying their authenticity.

    ------------------------------------

Yet ANOTHER document expert has come forward to say the 60 Minutes documents are almost surely phony, pointing to a vastly different signature from the papers. The expert, a 23 year veteran of the FBI points out- the signatures on the disputed documents cannot be those of Killian, when examined with signatures we know are legit.

The main source for the story says he was mislead as well- he said CBS read the documents to him over the phone, and he thought they were hand-written. This is what CBS calls "verification," friends.

Also- the man who headed the Texas Guard during the time said there's no way they're accurate. He says that a man mentioned had no contact with them, because he retired 18 months before he supposedly put favors thru for Bush. He explained, when you leave the guard, you're gone...you have no pull, and you surely couldn't do favors for guard members like the documents claim.

The expert who verified the documents for CBS now says he didn't realize he had photocopies, and he's explained before that- with modern photocopies, there's no way to verify a document is real, but it IS possible to verify it ISN'T.

Like I said before- Dan Rather needs to kiss his butt goodbye. He's over as a serious journalist- especially after his comments that those who are doubting the documents are "partisan political operatives."

Kerry and Other Dems Play the Race Card Again

Like the democrats ALWAYS do, John Kerry is playing the race card again, claiming that the Bush administration is using tactics similar to jim crowe laws, and that the GOP will try to keep blacks from voting. He also claims that Bush is purposefully attacking blacks and trying to divide the country into two americas by race.

More Experts Call Documents Phony (AGAIN)

Dan Rather should kiss his career goodbye. The American people are not going to stand for CBS' nonsense for much longer.

One of the sources used in the 60 Minutes Story (Hodges) says CBS mislead him and that he's sure the documents are forgeries. Rather, who claimed the only ones disputing the documents are "partisan political operatives" has been proven false. The web is filled with hundreds, if not thousands, of blogs that are calling into question the legitamacy of the documents, and drawing on numerous sources to do so. Now, one of the very sources CBS used is saying they're bogus, and family members of some of the sources are saying they're phony as well. With this information, the story should have never gone on, and it's killed CBS' respectability.

There is a group that is calling for a boycott of CBS due to this nonsense. Visit their site to join their campaign.

Kerry Claims Weapon Ban Would Fight Terrorism

This is the funniest thing I've heard in a while...

Shame on Kerry for using this to claim he could fight terrorism with it. That's just completely absurd.

    Breaking News from NewsMax.com

Kerry: I'll 'Take on the Terrorists' With Gun Control

Presidential candidate John Kerry promised over the weekend that he would "take on the terrorists" who attacked the U.S. on 9/11 by forcing them to obey America's gun control laws.

Kerry said laws like the Assault Weapons Ban, which expires today, were valuable "not just to fight ordinary crime but to take on terrorists."

And he complained that President Bush was "making the job of the terrorists easier" by not pushing for a renewal of the sweeping gun control law.

"The 9/11 commission and other reports have shown that al-Qaida wanted to come into America, and in the al-Qaida manual of terror, they were telling people to go out and buy assault weapons," Kerry told a crowd in Missouri.

The top Democrat did not explain why the Assault Weapons Ban failed to protect America against the 9/11 attacks, which were executed by al-Qaida operatives armed with small knives.

Nor did Kerry say how many terrorists had been arrested and charged with violations under the Assault Weapons Ban.

    Patriot Day

    A little late...but, I thought I'd post it.

    September 11, 2004

Three years ago, our country was ruthlessly attacked, and more than 3,000 innocent people lost their lives. We will always remember the victims: sons and daughters, husbands and wives, dads and moms, family members, co-workers, and friends. And we will always be inspired by the heroism and decency of our fellow citizens on that day. Police, firefighters, emergency rescue personnel, doctors, nurses, and many others risked their own lives to save the lives of their fellow citizens. They demonstrated the great character and bravery of our Nation, and they embody the great spirit of America.

Since September 11th, America has fought a relentless war on terror around the world. We are staying on the offensive in this war -- striking the terrorists abroad so we do not have to face them here at home. We pray that God watch over our brave men and women in uniform and all who are waging this war and working to keep A merica safe. And we pray for their families. In the face of danger, America is showing its character. Three years after the attack on our country, Americans remain strong and resolute, patient in a just cause, and confident of the victory to come.

By a joint resolution approved December 18, 2001 (Public Law 107-89), the Congress has designated September 11 of each year as "Patriot Day."

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim September 11, 2004, as Patriot Day. I call upon the Governors of the United States and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, as well as appropriate officials of all units of government, to direct that the flag be flown at half-staff on Patriot Day. I call upon the people of the United States to observe Patriot Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities, including remembrance services, to display the flag at half-staff from their homes on that day, and to observe a moment of silence be ginning at 8:46 a.m. eastern daylight time to honor the innocent victims who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand four, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and twenty-ninth.

    Hypocritical Celebs

You know what's refreshing? People who have no talent, tho pretend they do...but KNOW they ultimately don't. Take that Ashlee Simpson girl for example...younger sister of the clueless Jessica (who, without large breasts that made her career would be stuck in some home for the mentally...well, not ill. Stupid?) Anyhow- Ashlee has a TV show on MTV (yes, in this world, if you're related to someone "famouss" you often times think you should be famous too...even if you have no reason to be so. I have seen a few clips from the show, and have seen bits of it on MTV, and she is constantly talking about how awful her voice is. So much so that other shows (E!'s 'The Soup') have aired her clips of her trying to sing, and her reaction, yelling that she hates her voice and she can't sing...and she does so quite often on the show, it seems- in the few clips I have seen, she's constantly doing it.

I think that's a bit of fresh air. A girl who can't sing, who got a contract for a record simply because her older sister is a singer, and in the end- knows she can't sing, and that her "career" will almost surely be gone within a couple short years, or sooner for all we know.

This girl also cracks me up in her complete Jessica-like stupidity. I got some magazine in the mail about a month ago (I can't remember which, nor why I even got it- I get tons of magazines for free), and the girl was half naked throughout. On the cover, it said something about her being nude inside...or out of her clothes or something. So, they have an interview, and she's talking about her family and how they have certain rules with her career, because they're so religious (the biggest joke, especially when their other, more famous, daughter is busy posing as sexual as can be for magazine covers and such), and how she refuses to show her body and her mom is quoted as saying Ashlee is never overtly sexual to her fans- that's one of the family rules. All of this is said above a quote where Ashlee is quoted as saying she has "great tits" and she will probably take polaroids of herself nude for her future husband to show that she once had a great rack...and right next to all of the text is a full page photo of Ashlee with a small t shirt on, small boy-style cammo undies, and high heels...pulling her shirt up a bit, I believe. If that isn't total hypocrisy, I don't know what is.

Not a big deal- 99.9% of so-called celebs are not only totally clueless, but also wholly hypocritical, and completely clueless of the fact that they ARE so hypocritical (at least I hope it's ignorance.) I just find it quite funny...especially coming from the parents- the father who used to be a minister, and their strict religious claims overall. Plus, as I mentioned, the whole refreshing aspect of hacks who know they're hacks.

Muslim Leader Condones Bin Laden, Terrorism

On tonight's episode of Heartland with John Kasich on Fox News- John talked to a muslim leader who condoned the September 11 attacks, said Bin Laden was a man of god and a great "freedom fighter," that he condoned the chechan hostage taking of children (because it was ordained by allah), etc. It was disgusting. All too often, it's the face of the majority of the muslim world. Now, either this is the true face of Islam, or all the reasonable muslims are hiding out somewhere, refusing to come forward with condemnation of such barbaric comments and actions. Until these millions of so-called "moderates" come forward- my mind is made up.

A friendly note to all muslims- you're own 'people' are making you a cancer on society as a whole, globally. Your so-called prophet was a warrior who killed people in war, and now it seems that millions who follow that man are committing similar acts, and it's undeniable that too many millions condone such behavior. Terrorism is a stain on humanity, and in the end, despite what politicians or others might say- the battle of good and evil that is taking place right now is, indeed, a battle between your way of life and the way of life that says- you don't murder, you don't injure, you don't condone those who do. The many people in this world that think they have a god-ordained mission to kill, torture, behead, etc. are ultimately bound for destruction.

The arab world needs to stop their nonstop whining and blathering, blaming all of their ills on America...the arab world is so far behind the rest of the world in so many ways, it's frankly scary, and the arab world will continue to be stuck in the dark past as long as they play the world's victims. No one likes people who claim they're always the victims of some imaginary outside force they cannot control, especially when they're not really victims at all. The arab and muslim world, god willing, is in for a very rude awakening. Once we defeat this perverse mindset, we can make our way towards a more peaceful future, away from the threat of radicals who are willing to do anything for their imaginary gods.

Attacks from the Left and Kerry's Own Words

Check out what clueless wonder John Kerry said recently--

"I think that's the way it ought to work for confused people like me who can't
make up our minds" -- Kerry, on being served the day's special rather than
having to use a menu (NYTimes.com)

Truer words have never been spoken.

And, more hate from the left against President Bush. A message that is SO negative will never help them. They need to learn this...

    ------------------------------

    Dear Josh,

When Georgia's senior Senator, Democrat Zell Miller, delivered the keynote speech at our Republican convention in New York City, he spoke of the Democratic Party's "manic obsession to bring down our Commander-in-Chief."

In response to convention proceedings which outlined President Bush's Agenda for America's Future and a critique of Senator Kerry's policies and Senate record, the Kerry campaign confirmed that obsession by implementing a strategy of vicious personal attacks against the President and Vice President.

Faced with the reality that John Kerry's record is too far out of the American mainstream and without an agenda on which to base his campaign, the Democrat playbook is now wide open and extreme partisans like Tom Harkin, Al Gore and James Carville are attempting to fill the vacuum of positive policies with character assassination.

In a Memo I recently sent to Republican leadership I advised everyone to brace themselves for the coming onslaught.

The Kerry campaign is also bringing in a bevy of former Clinton henchmen, including CNN commentators James Carville and Paul Begala. In August alone, Begala called President Bush a "gutless wonder," said he has a "lack of intelligence," and called Vice President Cheney a "dirt bag." Carville said the President is "ignorant big time" and said "George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are a couple of nobodies."

In a recent column Democratic strategist Susan Estrich's calls the President of the United States and the Vice President of the United States alcoholics.

Senator Harkin said Thursday that President Bush lied about his National Guard service, and lied about the War In Iraq; and last month Sen. Harkin called Vice-President Cheney a "coward."

Just this week former Vice President Al Gore compared President Bush's personal faith to the radical impulses of fundamentalist Islam. Earlier this year he implied that campaigners for the President are Nazis by calling them 'brownshirts.'

Next week, NBC's "Today Show" will be featuring, over three consecutive days, Democrat-donor Kitty Kelley's book, which promises to throw unsubstantiated gossip at President Bush in the same way she falsely maligned the late President Reagan as a date rapist who paid for a girlfriend's abortion and wrongly castigated Nancy Reagan as an adulterer who had an affair with Frank Sinatra.

You too should brace yourselves. Any mention of John Kerry's votes for higher taxes and against vital weapons programs will be met with the worst kind of personal attacks. Such desperation is unbecoming of American Presidential politics, and Senator Kerry will pay a price for it at the polls as we stay focused on policies to continue growing our economy and winning the War on Terror.

Come November, the voters will support President Bush's positive vision for a safer world and a more hopeful America.

    Sincerely,

    Ed Gillespie

NFL Network, Hills, Treats, and Steaks

Yet another new TV network added to the cable lineup.
    The NFL Network

NFL Network- with tons of NFL stuff- old and new...classic games, superbowl moments, inside training camps, specials galore...it's heaven for football fans. I, myself, am not a sports fan at all, really. Playing sports can be fun, but watching is- well, it's just watching. Tho, I do like watching sometimes. Maybe I'll find I really get into football with this new network- but I doubt it.

I recorded most of this movie called LENDER'S FEE, a film about a group of friends that find a wallet, and a winning lotto ticket inside the wallet. Matthew Lillard is in it, as is James Earl Jones, and it's directed by Jeff Probst- who I used to like when he was on Backchat on FX Network, but he's gone way downhill with ridiculously awful TV like Survivor.

Anyhow, I might go watch it in a bit...then again, it is 3am. Maybe I'll watch THE HILLS HAVE EYES- which I bought on DVD (mentioned it the other day), but still haven't watched. I worked Thurs and Friday night, which is unusual, but this girl went on vacation, so I'm working her Thurs and Fri nights. Tonight, everything was going wrong- VCRs not working right, networks not changing when they should, networks not feeding programs like they were scheduled to, and now I notice that the channel isn't even on the air- well, it is, but an IRD didn't change, so it's stuck on some transponder channel with nothing but bars and tone. I'd go in and fix it, but I'd wake people up downstairs, and it's way too late.

I'm watching the Tricks for Treats episode of Good Eats on the computer- downloaded it (so sue me)...AB is a funny man. I really want to go see him live. He does shows sometimes, but they'll never be anywhere near here, I doubt.

I want to go to Louisville, because they have a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse there...well, they have one in Indianapolis too, but that's about 3 and a half hours away, and Louisville is around 2 and a half or 2 even. Sean Hannity always talks about that place on his show. Speaking of which, the stream of his radio show won't work- in any format. It sucks.

I'm almost finished with this book I'm reading called DEAD CROWD by Dan Barton. It's really good...love the main character, a standup comic named Biff Kincaid. It's a mystery, and he's in a series of books by the same author (of course.) You should pick up a copy and read it yourself...because I said so.

    I'm off...

Kerry Camp Living in the Past

Fox, with their own investigation into the CBS documents finds a number of experts who say these are not documents from the 1970's, and the son of the man whose documents were used, as well as a fellow officer who say that these are not geniune documents.

The story ends with the question of- do people care? I know I don't, and Americans don't care either, overall. It's just Kerry's campaign grasping at straws. He is now the underdog- down 11 points in some polls, and is hurting big time in polls that ask who is a stronger leader, who is more honest, who is more trustworthy- Bush is pouncing Kerry in all of those particular polls.

This move by the Kerry campaign, being still stuck in the Vietnam era is backfiring, and the American people are on to their games...this evidence proves that someone will do anything to tar the president with false claims.

Authenticity of Bush Guard Docs in Question
    Friday, September 10, 2004
    By Liza Porteus

WASHINGTON — Questions continued to swirl Friday around the authenticity of memos purporting to show discrepancies in President Bush's (search) Texas Air National Guard service over 30 years ago.

Documents aired by CBS' "60 Minutes" Wednesday night were described as having been written by Bush's commanding officer during his Guard days. They seemed to show that Bush, then a pilot, violated a direct order and tried to avoid his duties.

But many experts say the memos' typeface, formatting, paragraph spacing and other attributes indicate that they were written on a modern-day personal computer, possibly using the Microsoft Word word-processing program — not on a 1970s typewriter.

The documents were purportedly written in 1972 and 1973.

The documents appeared to say Bush ignored a direct order from a superior officer and lost his status as a Guard pilot because he failed to meet military performance standards and undergo a required physical exam. They also show Bush required two passes to land an F-102A fighter on March 12 and April 10, 1972. His last flight as an Air National Guard (search) pilot was on April 16.

    Valid Questions or 'Character Assassination'?

Bush's Guard service became a focus of Democratic criticism this week. Democrats and some like-minded groups, such as Texans for Truth, say Bush shirked his National Guard duties, a claim Bush denies.

On Friday, Sen. Tom Harkin (search), D-Iowa, told FOX News that despite the chance that some of the documents may be fake, there was other proof that Bush got special privileges to get into the Guard, didn't take his physical and didn't fulfill all his duty requirements.

"So when George Bush, in the Oval Office earlier this year, said 'I did my duty,' I'm sorry, we now know he didn't do his duty," said Harkin, who told reporters Thursday that Bush "lied to the American people."

Republican National Committee spokesman Jim Dyke released a statement calling such statements "character assassination."

"The Democrat playbook is wide open," Dyke said. "Faced with the reality that John Kerry's (search) record is too far out of the American mainstream and without an agenda on which to base his campaign, extreme partisans like Tom Harkin, Al Gore and James Carville are attempting to fill the vacuum of positive policies with character assassination. Bad news for the Democrats because the American people know the difference between a legitimate policy discussion and personal attacks."

Republican critics and various outside groups, including the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, have accused Democratic presidential nominee Kerry, a decorated Vietnam combat veteran, of fabricating the incidents that led to his five medals.

Also Thursday, prisoners of war who endured torture, isolation and interrogation at the hands of their North Vietnamese captors raised Cain over anti-war statements Kerry made after returning from service.

Some former POWs who appear in a documentary film released Thursday say Kerry's 1971 Senate testimony alleging widespread and militarily-condoned war crimes made their time in prison worse. They claim that prison guards used Kerry's testimony to demand confessions of war crimes and as justification for brutalizing them.

"The words he used were devastating, because as a war prisoner, we were being called war criminals, he was giving them at home what we were being tortured to say," said former POW Jim Warner.

    Experts Question Bush Docs

Independent document examiner Sandra Ramsey Lines said the memos looked like they had been produced on a computer using Microsoft Word. Lines, a document expert with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (search), pointed to a superscript — a smaller, raised "th" in "111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron" — as evidence indicating forgery.

"I'm virtually certain these were computer-generated," Lines said. She produced a nearly identical document using her computer's Microsoft Word software.

CBS on Friday defended the authenticity of the Guard memos, which were supposedly produced by Lt. Col. Jerry Killian (search), who died in 1984.

"The documents are backed up not only by independent handwriting and forensic document experts but sources familiar with their content," CBS News said.

The network's statement said typewriters were available in the early 1970s which were capable of printing superscripts. CBS pointed to other Texas Air National Guard documents released by the White House that include an example of a "th" superscript.

But one of Killian's fellow officers, an independent document examiner and Killian's own son doubted the veracity of the memos.

In an interview with FOX News, Gary Killian, who served in the Guard with his father and retired as a captain in 1991, said he is "very dubious" about the genuineness of the documents.

He said his father was "not in the habit of keeping secret files," didn't have a home office, didn't work after leaving his office and didn't have available to him at work the kind of typewriter that was apparently used to compose the documents.

Gary Killian said the sentiments in the documents didn't reflect his father's "true feelings" about Bush, and that if his father had actually written the papers, he would have signed them using his full name, not just "CYA," which is on the documents.

He also said his father would have typed such a document himself, "hated" typing and was a "very poor" typist. "He did not type memos to himself," Gary Killian added, saying it was "too much effort" and "very dangerous … not a good practice."

The personnel chief in Killian's unit at the time also said he believes the documents are fake.

"They looked to me like forgeries," said Rufus Martin. "I don't think Killian would do that, and I knew him for 17 years."

Killian's widow, Marjorie Connell, described the records to The Washington Post as "a farce," saying she was with her husband until the day he died in 1984 and that he did not "keep files." She said her husband considered Bush "an excellent pilot."

"I don't think there were any documents. He was not a paper person," she said, adding that she was "livid" at CBS journalists who did not, she said, ask her to authenticate the records.

CBS said it has "complete confidence" in its reporting and will continue to pursue the story.

"For the record, CBS News stands by the thoroughness and accuracy of the "60 Minutes" report this Wednesday on President Bush's service in the Texas Air National Guard," CBS said. "This report was not based solely on recovered documents, but rather on a preponderance of evidence, including documents that were provided by unimpeachable sources, interviews with former Texas National Guard officials and individuals who worked closely back in the early 1970s with Colonel Jerry Killian and were well acquainted with his procedures, his character and his thinking."

Bush spokesman Scott McClellan said Friday the White House, which distributed the memos after obtaining them from CBS, was not trying to verify their authenticity. "We don't know if the documents are fabricated or authentic," McClellan told reporters traveling with the president to West Virginia.

McClellan suggested the memos surfaced as part of "an orchestrated effort by Democrats and the Kerry campaign to tear down the president."

    Bush String-Pulling Questioned

Adding even more fuel to the military records fire were accusations by a woman claiming to be Amy Barnes, daughter of former Texas Lt. Gov. Ben Barnes (search).

The woman said Thursday that Ben Barnes had fabricated claims that he used his influence to pull strings and get Bush into the Texas Air National Guard 36 years ago.

In a phone call to WBAP's Mark Davis radio show in Dallas, Texas, the so-called Amy Barnes said the former lieutenant governor was an "opportunist" who had lied about Bush's Guard record.

"I love my father very much, but he's doing this for purely political reasons," the woman said. "He is a big Kerry fund-raiser, and he is writing a book also. And [the Bush story] is what he's leading the book off with ... He denied this to me in 2000 that he did get Bush out [of Vietnam service]. Now he's saying he did."

The radio station confirmed that Barnes does have a daughter named Amy, but it was not confirmed that the woman on the air was in fact her.

"Mr. Barnes has told a lot of different stories about that particular time -- it's a period of time in which his credibility was also impacted in a very negative way," Texas Gov. Rick Perry told FOX News, noting that Barnes left office amid his own controversies and wasn't even lieutenant governor when Bush joined the Guard.

"Using Ben Barnes as an individual may be inherently dangerous for the Kerry campaign. He may be fine for raising money for him, but from the standpoint of telling a story that has any credibility to it, he may be the wrong one," Perry added.

    Does It Even Matter?

Voters and war veterans may not be so much concerned about the particulars of Kerry's Vietnam heroism or Bush's Guard pilot logs as they are about the bigger picture, according to some observers.

"They're not concerned about whether George W. Bush made every drill or not," Ret. Marine Col. Oliver North, host of FOX News' "War Stories," told FOX News on Friday. "I think they are going to be concerned if they find out these documents are forgeries, because it's going to be a pattern of deception that has plagued John Kerry since Vietnam."

Harkin said it wasn't so much the devil in the details that counted, but what those details said about Bush's character and other issues.

"I think in any presidential race, character counts, and George Bush has staked a lot on his character," Harkin told FOX News.

If it's true that Bush lied about his Guard service, Harkin said the next question would be "'Will he mislead us also about Iraq, how we got into Iraq?' ... This counts because it's not something that happened 30 years ago. ... It's something that happened this year."

Bush loyalists labeled the Guard-service issue as nothing more than pure desperation from the Kerry camp.

"We do know that George Bush has the respect and support of the people of America," Sen. George Allen, R-Va., told FOX News. "This is desperation. It is very pitiful that they're coming up with these things ... and it shows just how pitiful the desperation is.

"The reality is, who in the future if best to lead this country? And I think you're seeing from polls the American people see greater comfort in George Bush than they do in Senator Kerry."

The White House has argued that recent polls showing Kerry slipping slightly among America's electorate is the reason for the recent Democratic criticism over Bush's record.

GOP strategist Rich Galen said it's the Kerry camp that's keeping the focus on things that happened decades ago, to avoid talking about today's issues, but Democratic strategist Bob Beckel said the Bush-Cheney campaign is the one focusing on the past.

Both agreed these issues are delaying debate on real issues.

"It's going to take another week now away from what Kerry absolutely has to do, which is to get the debate going on domestic issues ... it's in the Bush campaign's interest to keep this thing focused in the 1960s and 1970s," Beckel said. "I have no doubt Bush dodged his responsibilities, but so what? People want to hear about the future, but this is going to take another week and we only have eight weeks left."

FOX News' Major Garrett and James Rosen and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

CBS to have Internal Investigation Into Documents?

    from drudge:

"CBS NEWS executives on Thursday launched an internal investigation into whether its premiere news program 60 MINUTES aired fabricated documents relating to Bush's National Guard service, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. "The reputation and integrity of the entire news division is at stake, if we are in error, it will be corrected," a top CBS source explained late Thursday."

More Experts Call Documents Phony, and Al Gore Goes Radical Again

Fox News has investigated the CBS documents further, and they interviewed the son of the man whose documents supposedly were used in the 60 Minutes piece. He tells Fox News that his father never had any secret files, that he didn't even have a home office, and that the documents contradict what his father told him about Lt. Bush...and they contradict documents that are verfied as being genuine.

The son also told Fox News how his father told him George Bush was a great pilot, and that Bush actually signed up for a program that would have him go to Vietnam for a year's time- Bush signed up for the program twice to go to Vietnam, but was turned down both times due to not having logged enough flight hours.

This investigation, as well as at least 4 other documents experts saying they're 99% sure the documents are phony kill the CBS story. Dan Rather told reporters today that there's no way they're phony, and that he doesn't intend to retract or apologize for anything.

It seems Mr. Rather will almost surely have to change this story, especially after so many news outlets have done their own investigations, and it seems these documents are, indeed, fake.

ALSO The Weekly Standard has picked up the story and are looking into the documents themselves.

    --------------------------------------

Here's the quote from Mr. scumbag himself, radical, foaming-at-the-mouth former VP, Al Gore:

AL GORE ON PRESIDENT BUSH'S FAITH: "It’s the American version of the same fundamentalist impulse that we see in Saudi Arabia, in Kashmir, in religions around the world: Hindu, Jewish, Christian, Muslim." (David Remnick,"The Wilderness Campaign," The New Yorker, 9/13/04)

If you don't see this as a radical attack from a radical man, you might want to get yourself some help. This is outraegous rhetoric and should be condemned by every American.

Smear Merchants on the Left Attack

It seems Smear merchant, Kitty Kelley's new book about the Bush family is already falling apart. One of the key sources used in the book, Sharon Bush, denies she ever told Kelley that George W. Bush used cocaine at Camp David. Kelley is the same woman who wrote an attack book on the Reagans, where she claimed Ronald Reagan was a serial rapist, and that Nancy was basically insane.

Other sources Kelley uses in the book have denied they ever said the things she claims as well. Could this, just maybe, be yet another peg on the list of hate from the left?

Another smear merchant, the very weird and very hateful Maureen Dowd is calling General Tommy Franks a bad person who left his troops in Iraq, and says that the swift boat vets for truth are all liars- everyone of them.

Keeping with this theme...TV has-been, Dick Cavett (hardly anyone under 30 even knows who this hack is) said that Zell Miller, speaking at the Republican National Convention, looked like a klansman. Others have echoed that sentiment with a number of attacks on the DEMOCRATIC Senator- it seems that they love their own party when it comes to admitted liar and perjurer, Bill Clinton...but, when it comes to anyone who supports what President Bush is doing- they suddenly flip and flop, very much like John Kerry.

[[[The stories regarding the above comments are all pasted below.]]]

Dick Cavett: Zell 'Looks Like a Klansman'

Democratic hysteria over Sen. Zell Miller's Wednesday night keynote address to the GOP convention continues to escalate, with Kerry defenders now trying to label him a "Klansman."

"Zell Miller looks like a Klansman," media has-been Dick Cavett groused to radio host Don Imus on Friday.

When Imus objected to the characterization, Cavett joked, "You didn't think I meant the Ku Klux Klan, did you?" He then added in the next breath, "You would cast him as that in a movie."
Cavett was apparently picking up a riff first road tested on Thursday by pro-Kerry Republican David Gergen, who complained that Miller was a "man of hate" just like his long-ago boss Georgia Gov. Lester Maddox.

Of course, neither Cavett nor Gergen has ever had anything to say about the Senate's only genuine ex-Klansman, Sen. Robert Byrd - apparently because he supports John Kerry.

Cavett, whose claim to sudden relevancy is based on the fact that he hosted a 1971 Vietnam debate between John Kerry and Swiftvet leader John O'Neill, couldn't resist taking an ugly potshot at the man whose book "Unfit for Command" has turned the presidential campaign on its head.

Referring to the Swiftvet's appearance on his show, Cavett explained, "O'Neill had been groomed, entertained and fondled, for all I know, by Nixon and Haldeman."

Dowd: Swiftvets are 'Lying Liars,' Franks Abandoned His Troops

New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd trashed more than 200 Vietnam veterans who served alongside John Kerry Thursday morning as "lying liars who lie in their Swift Boats" and blasted former CENTCOM commander Tommy Franks as "a general who left his troops in Iraq."

Complaining that her book "Bushworld" was trailing the Swiftvet book "Unfit for Command" and Franks' memoir, "American Soldier," on the New York Times best-seller list, Dowd told radio host Don Imus:

"I have to get above the Swift Boat guys. Look at the guys above me [on the list]. A president whose book is unreadable. A general who left his troops in Iraq - he should be back over there. And the Swift Boat lying liars who lie in their Swift Boats."

Kitty Kelley Book Implodes as Key Witness Recants

The big bombshell promised by Kitty Kelley in her scorching anti-Bush book, "The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty," has prematurely imploded, with a key witness behind the book's central charge now denying Kelley's version of her account.

"I categorically deny that I ever told Kitty Kelley that George W. Bush used cocaine at Camp David or that I ever saw him use cocaine at Camp David," ex-Bush sister-in-law Sharon Bush said in a statement issued yesterday, according to the Washington Post.

Instead, said the one-time Bush family insider, "When Kitty Kelley raised drug use at Camp David, I responded by saying something along the lines of 'Who would say such a thing?'"
The recantation of the book's central charge has flummoxed media outlets that were planning a mega-rollout for the anti-Bush screed.

When contacted by NewsMax Thursday morning, a spokesman for NBC's "Today" show, which had planned to showcase Kelley's book for three straight mornings in a row next week, couldn't say whether Sharon's statement would change their plans.

Newsweek magazine had already rejected an offer to excerpt the Kelley book because the Bush ex was the sole source of Kelley's big bombshell, with lead reporter Howard Fineman complaining Tuesday that the cocaine story was "un-checkable and an otherwise un-witnessable allegation. So if that's the best she's got, that's why we took a pass on it."

Despite the Sharon Bush debacle, Kelley's publisher is so far hanging tough.

"Doubleday stands fully behind the accuracy of Ms. Kelley's reporting and believes that everything she attributes to Sharon Bush in her book is an accurate account of their discussions," Associate Publisher Suzanne Herz told the Post. "Ms. Kelley met with Sharon Bush over the course of a four-hour lunch on April 1, 2003, at the Chelsea Bistro in Manhattan."

Still, industry insiders are wary of a repeat of the publishing disaster that transpired the last time a book claimed Bush was a coke user.

In 1999, St. Martin's Press was forced to recall 90,000 copies of "Fortunate Son," which alleged that then candidate George W. Bush had been arrested on a cocaine charge in 1972.

Only after the book hit stores did St. Martin's learn that the author of "Son," J.H. Hatfield, had served five years in jail in connection with a conspiracy to commit murder. The Bush book debacle is believed to have contributed to Hatfield's 2001 suicide by drug overdose.

'60 Minutes' Bush Guard Documents Questioned

DALLAS - The authenticity of newly unearthed memos stating that George W. Bush failed to meet standards of the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War was questioned Thursday by the son of the late officer who reportedly wrote the memos.

"I am upset because I think it is a mixture of truth and fiction here," said Gary Killian, son of Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, who died in 1984.

Gary Killian, who served in the Guard with his father and retired as a captain in 1991, said one of the memos, signed by his father, appeared legitimate. But he doubted his father would have written another, unsigned memo which said there was pressure to "sugar coat" Bush's performance review.
"It just wouldn't happen," he said. "The only thing that can happen when you keep secret files like that are bad things. ... No officer in his right mind would write a memo like that."

News reports have said the memos, first obtained by CBS's "60 Minutes II," were found in Jerry Killian's personal records. Gary Killian said his father wasn't in the habit of bringing his work home with him, and that the documents didn't come from the family.

CBS stood by its reporting. "As a standard practice at CBS, each of the documents broadcast on "60 Minutes" was thoroughly investigated by independent experts and we are convinced of their authenticity," CBS News said in a statement.

The White House distributed the four memos from 1972 and 1973 after obtaining them from CBS News. The White House did not question their accuracy.

Tom Harkin's Rabid Attack Proven False

More attacks from idiot Tom Harkin and the DNC.

They're attacking on Bush's air national guard record- even tho many have come forward who said they remember seeing Bush and working with him during the times democrats say he was missing (the DNC has actually taken the tactic to call the president AWOL- a serious charge, especially since all the documentation proves otherwise.)

CBS News' 60 Minutes (who has spent the past year pounding the President with their so called objective news reported on the story last night...they had files they say came from a man who Bush served under, and in the documents, he said that Bush had been suspended from flight status, and that he missed a required physical. BUT- this was from Texas, and Bush was in Alabama at the time working for a senate campaign (with permission, and still doing his service in the guard.) An officer who served over Bush in Alabama appeared on Hannity and Colmes this past week to talk about how he worked with Bush numerous times, and how he clearly remembered seeing him for a period of many months. And that the commanders in Texas could not have possibly rated him, because he wasn't in Texas- and on the paperwork, if someone moves to another location, as Bush did, it's simply listed as not-rated.

Harkin used the documents from 60 Minutes to tell reporters that this proves Bush is a liar and was dishonorable in his service. If I recall correctly, Harkin had no problem with Bill Clinton, who admitted skipping out to Canada to dodge the draft. Harkin, I believe, also defended Clinton's admitted lies.

On top of all of this- the guy who appeared on H&C explained the documents, and they prove nothing that Harkin claimed. Also- experts have looked at the documents, and they think they're bogus- since they contradict themselves...and the "th" on the number of the combat force is in superscript on the documents, and no typewriters at the time could type in superscript.

Also- the same commander who supposedly said Bush was not present for stuff he was required to show up for, a short time later, wrote a glowing review of Mr. Bush, and mentioned how great Mr. Bush was doing.

The DNC and cowards like Tom Harkin can spew their vile rhetoric- but, the facts prove them all wrong. Lying about the president, even when documents and witnesses dirpute your so-called "facts" is wrong...it's unacceptable for anyone member of Congress to engage in such acts. Mr. Harkin will be hearing from me.

I suggest anyone who lives in Harkin's state to send him a letter with the facts and tell him to cut this nonsense out. The American people deserve better.

    ALSO-

It seems Mrs. Kerry- Heinz is at it again with her hateful comments. Her husband says he will send a bill to congress the day he's elected (he won't be elected, but let's pretend)...a bill that would assure every American has affordable healthcare. He claims he would do this by raising taxes on the "rich." The rich- the ones who build the companies, that hire Americans to run those companies, that pay the majority of all taxes- money that is used on failed welfare projects and all sorts of wasteful spending. Raising taxes on companies leads to...guess. Bigger outsourcing, to get away from the opressive taxes. Kerry, again, wants it both ways- he calls companies that want to make money by outsourcing (outsourcing is not a bad thing) "benedict arnold" companies...now, he wants to raise taxes on companies, which will surely lead to more companies trying to do their proudction outside of the US to save on taxes. His wife, Heinz- Kerry said today that anyone who disagrees with his plan is an "idiot." A month or so ago, she called President Bush and Republican tactics "un-American." Classic hate from the left...the examples just never stop coming in.

No Muslim Outrage Over Numerous Terrorist Attacks

I'd go even further (as I have before) and note that, I believe Islam, as a whole, breeds violence and hate for non-Muslims. The founder of the religion was a madman who claimed to have been given the Koran and prophecies and such in dreams...tho offered no proof of what he was saying. He hijacked judaism and christianity- took figures from these books and said they were all great people and prophets- but, he contradicted much of what both religions taught...then, he battled himself in a number of wars, was responsible for the deaths of many thousands, etc. No other way to describe the man other than to note he was completely insane- he was seen as insane for a while, actually, but somehow he got people to buy into his crackpot ideas and teachings.

Then, you have the islamic opression of all women- a theme that can be found throughout the koran itself. With any group that oppresses women to the point where a woman can be killed for doing nothing herself- comes problems.

Then, the inherent belief by SO many millions upon millions of muslims, worldwide, that whenever a bad thing happens (the recent chechan attacks for example), their first instinct is to blame it on the Jews. From what I have read about Islam, as a religion, it seems somewhat anti-semitic in tone, and too many millions (I'd wager to guess tens of millions- maybe hundreds) have a perverse fear and hatred of the Jewish people, and tend to blame these people for all their social ills. Lack of responsibility for their problems is also a major theme within the muslim word- especially arab muslims. Nothing they do is to blame for their sad situation- it's always the west, or Israel, or world jewry they blame their problems on. Clearly, such ideas are dangerous and are cancerous to the entire religion.

Below is a part of the new Jeff Jacoby article in which he wonders why there has been no recent outcry from muslims around the world. There have been numerous terrorist attacks, all carried out by muslims in the name of that religion.

The comments below by Abdel Rahman al-Rashed say a lot about the situation as it exists and will continue to exist. I have put in bold a very direct statement that gives credence, in my opinion, to what I have said all along.

No one is saying all Muslims are terrorists- but it seems that all terrorists are Muslim...and, on top of that, for reasons I mentioned above and elsewhere- I believe that Muslims, overall, in their traditions, are more prone to terrorism and violence overall- their founder was a violent man himself, and taking that into account- you can't deny that violence would easily become a central tenant of the religion. I think the religion itself, and the founder of the relgion, and the holy book of the religion are to blame in large parts for their ideas and feelings that many millions of muslims across the glove have...and these ideas and feelings are not good for them, they're not good for America, they're not good for the world.

In the end, when you get away from the truth of the world (Jesus Christ, the Bible, etc)...you will run into these problems. With false religions come zealots who will perverse the truth of the world, and make it their own, to suit their own agenda. This is a sad reality, but it is just that- a reality. Islam has just gone much further than any other major religion in that it's become equated so closely with violence and terrorism. A sad thing for all people who are, tho misguided and wrong, strong and peaceful believers in their faith.

    -----------------------------
Fortunately, a few Muslim commentators *have* denounced the evil being done in the name of Islam, and have done so courageously and unambiguously. (The Middle East Media Research Institute has compiled their reactions at www.memri.org.) One in particular stands out: an extraordinary column in the pan-Arabic daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat by Abdel Rahman al-Rashed, the general manager of the Al-Arabiya news channel. (An English translation was published in the Telegraph.)

"It is a certain fact that not all Muslims are terrorists," he begins, "but it is equally certain, and exceptionally painful, that almost all terrorists are Muslims.

"The hostage-takers of the children in Beslan were Muslims. The hostage-takers and murderers of the Nepalese chefs and workers in Iraq were also Muslims. . . . The majority of those who manned the suicide bombings against buses, vehicles, schools, houses, and buildings all over the world were Muslim. . . . "What a pathetic record. What an abominable `achievement.' Does all this tell us anything about ourselves, our societies, and our culture?. . .

"We cannot tolerate in our midst those who abduct journalists, murder civilians, explode buses; we cannot accept them as related to us. . . . They are the people who have smeared Islam and stained its image. We cannot clear our names unless we own up to the shameful fact that terrorism has become an Islamic enterprise; an almost exclusive monopoly implemented by Muslim men and women.

"We cannot redeem our extremist youths, who commit all these heinous crimes, without confronting the sheiks who thought it ennobling to re-invent themselves as revolutionary ideologues, sending other people's sons and daughters to certain death, while sending their own children to European and American schools and colleges."

    September 8, 2004

    To: Bush-Cheney '04 Grassroots Team
From: Ed Gillespie, Republican National Committee Chairman
    Subject: Brace Yourselves

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In response to President Bush's Agenda for America's Future and a critique of his policies and Senate record, Senator Kerry's campaign is implementing a strategy of vicious personal attacks against the President and Vice President.

The campaign is bringing in a bevy of former Clinton henchmen, including CNN commentators James Carville and Paul Begala. In August alone, Begala called President Bush a "gutless wonder," said he has a "lack of intelligence," and called Vice President Cheney a "dirt bag." Carville said the President is "ignorant big time" and said "George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are a couple of nobodies."

It's not like Bob Shrum needed encouragement to engage in personal attacks. At a Kerry rally Friday morning in Ohio, campaign surrogate John Glenn compared the Republican Convention to a Nazi rally, and Kerry called the President unfit to lead our nation and once again sought to divide the country by who served and how 35 years ago.

Of course, the President was called a "cheap thug," a "killer" and a "liar" at a Kerry-Edwards campaign event in New York, Mrs. Kerry has called the President's policies "unpatriotic" and "immoral" and DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe falsely accused the President of being AWOL.

Democratic strategist Susan Estrich outlined the strategy last Wednesday in a column warning Republicans to "watch out." "I'm not promising pretty," she wrote before going on to call President Bush and Vice President Cheney alcoholics, then ask "is any alcoholic ever really cured?" ("I can see the ad now.") She deems the President's service as a National Guard fighter pilot "draft dodging," and says, "a forthcoming book by Kitty Kelly raises questions about whether the President has practiced what he preaches on the issue of abortion." (Interestingly, the New York Daily News reported back in February that the Kerry campaign intended to spread such a rumor in pro-life chat rooms late in the campaign.)

So the former Dukakis campaign manager has an advance copy of Democrat donor Kitty Kelly's book, which promises to throw unsubstantiated gossip at President Bush in the same way she falsely maligned the late President Reagan as a date rapist who paid for a girlfriend's abortion and wrongly castigated Nancy Reagan as an adulterer who had an affair with Frank Sinatra. A recent story says Kelly's book alleges President Bush used cocaine at Camp David while his father was President, which is as credible as her story that then Governor and Nancy Reagan smoked marijuana with Jack Benny and George and Gracie Burns.

And tonight on CBS, longtime Democratic operative Ben Barnes-a friend of, major contributor to and Nantucket neighbor of Senator Kerry's and vice chair of the Kerry Campaign--will repudiate his statement under oath that he had no contact with the Bush family concerning the President's National Guard service. (Anyone surprised that Barnes would contradict a statement he made under oath probably doesn't know his long history of political scandal and financial misdealings.)

So brace yourselves.

1,000 Dead and Counting in George Bush's Unjust War
    -----------------------------------------------------
    Editorial by Shane Cory
    September 8, 2004

It was announced on September 7th that the death toll of Americans killed in Iraq has surpassed 1,000. Over one thousand men, women, mothers, fathers, sons or daughters have fallen for a cause that cannot be justified nor cogently explained. One thousand American families are left to grieve the loss of their loved one. Possibly even more children are left without a mother or a father.

Sadly, the loss of life does not seem to faze our great leader. Of the hundreds of military funerals that have been held, George Bush has not attended a single event. Instead of allowing these fallen soldiers to be honored properly and to lessen the sad impact of the death of scores of our men, Bush refuses to allow any historical or other photographers into Dover Air Force Base where our flag-draped coffins are received. Bush openly praises those who serve but never offers a public prayer for those who have fallen.

The deaths of over 1,000 soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen are the result of George Bush's decision to pre-emptively invade a sovereign nation. We were told that Iraq was a looming threat that had to be dealt with. Visions of mushroom clouds were implanted into our minds by our leaders in an effort to increase support for their pre-determined decisions. Details and photos of chemical and biological weapons facilities were flashed before the U.N. and American public. Claims were made tying Saddam's regime to Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. All of the accusations made by the administration turned out to be false.

However, being patently wrong does not stop this administration. As recently as the Republican Convention, the administration continued to attempt to mislead the public by claiming that Iraq was somehow responsible for the September 11th attacks on America. Just yesterday, the sitting vice president claimed that a win for Kerry would result in "devastating" attack on America.

Any reasonable person could assume that we were blatantly lied to by Bush and his cohorts. This deception continues to this day. Those who oppose this pre-emptive invasion can be justified in their anger given the effects of this unnecessary war that George Bush chose to wage.

The results of Operation Iraqi Freedom thus far:

    Nuclear Weapons Found: 0

    Chemical Stockpiles Found: 0

    Biological Stockpiles Found: 0

    Scud Missiles Found: 0

    Captured Tyrants: 1

    Captured Terrorists: 0

    Dead Coalition Personnel: 131

    Dead American Personnel: 1002

    Injured American Personnel: 6,916

    Dead Iraqi Civilians: 11,793 (minimum)

The tragic numbers above are only rivaled by that fact that the invasion and occupation of Iraq cannot be justified.

Regardless of your own opinion of the invasion of Iraq, ask yourself this: if the history books are to be honestly written what is the reason to be given for this conflict? We faced an imminent threat? Liberating a nation? Revenge for 9/11?

The truth is we do not know why George Bush invaded Iraq. We can speculate about oil, power, revenge or the sheer lust to be a "war time president" but it would be just that . . . speculation. It is clear as noted by Paul O'Neill and Richard Clarke that taking down Saddam Hussein was a priority of this administration from its first days in office. However, we do not know the inner workings of the president's spotted mind so the truth may always be beyond our knowledge.

Only George W. Bush knows why he made this decision and it is George W. Bush who should be haunted by these names of the men and women killed by his faulty actions:

(((LIST OF NAMES TAKEN OUT FOR SPACE CONCERN)))

May God bless those above and their families. Their service will never be forgotten regardless of the necessity of this war. These men and women were dutifully following orders in service to their country.

There is no doubt that this list will continue to grow. It is my hope that George Bush is not given another four years to wage yet another unjust war at the cost of America lives and American respect.

Shane Cory serves as the managing editor of the Washington Dispatch.

    My reply to this fool:

How do you gather that we invaded a soverign nation? Doesn't the fact that a tyrant who killed up to a million people who took control and refused elections blow that theory away? How is the removal of a mass murderer ever completely unjust? You say that Iraq was never an imminent threat like the admin. claimed it was- but, you know full well you're lying when you say that, because Bush spoke many times saying it WASN'T an imminent threat, and to act now would stop it from BECOMING one.

Dishonesty does not become you...and your lame attempt at making Bush look like a cold-hearted leader who cares nothing of the troops is just plain sickening.

I will remind you that the intel that said Hussein had WMD came from, the cia, the fbi, MI6, Italian intel, Russian intel, and other sources...even Hans Blix came out and said that there was nothing new in the 10, 000 + pages handed over to the UN Sec. Council by Hussein. That there were still stockpiles unaccounted for- no record of them being destroyed, and we knew they had them at some point. Then, Iraq was given 3 months while France, Germany, and Russia dragged things out- 3 months to hide WMD, move WMD to Syria, etc.

You claim intel that Iraq was linked to al qeada was proven false, but you also know that is not true. There's numerous different sources of intel that link Iraq to the terrorist group...and we know Bin Laden and Hussein had communications at some point. This comes from US and international intel. sources...

You also claim that no WMD has been found...tho, the Iraqi interim PM has stated that small amounts of WMD have been found and removed...along with nuclear material. Dutch soldiers also recovered at least two pieces of WMD.

You also claim that Republicans at the RNC Covention linked Iraq to 9/11- funny, since I watched the entire thing and have it all recorded on my computer, and no one made such a claim.

You claim that Bush lied to the country- tho the bipartisan committee looking into 9/11 and Iraq have come out and officially said no one lied, no one mislead. So, what you're saying is Bush lied, and then both democratic and republican members of Congress lied to cover up his lies? That's patently absurd.

You claim that Iraq might have been about oil...tho, you make no mention of how on earth this could have worked in favor of Bush- who owns no oil companies himself, and even if he had done so to favor close friends in the oil business- the war in Iraq hasn't helped the oil industry. Maybe this is some fantasy scenario that will take place sometime in the future?

You mention Richard Clarke and Paul O'Neil- both of whom were trying to sell books at the time they said what they said. Clarke admitted that he lied to the American people while in his position in the administration by claiming that Bush was doing all the right things when it came to terrorism- he told the commission that when you're in government, it's your job to lie like that...so, you post claims of admitted liars, tho you call Bush a liar when a bi-partisan committee said he didn't lie OR mislead at all.

Washingtondispatch is a good site, but it doesn't need dishonest hacks like yourself writing pieces full of inaccuracies, distortions, and flat out lies. You should be ashamed of yourself...tho, by writing such garbage, I doubt you will.

ALSO- a look at other articles by this imbicile is very telling. In another piece he compares deaths of Iraqis from Hussein (he says 220, 000- he doesn't include Kuwaitis or Iranians or Americans killed in either war in the tally...and, from all figrues I have read, it's closer to a million, not 220, 000...Anyhow, he says the folling:

In addition to the above atrocities, it is estimated by the U.S. occupation authority
that nearly 50,000 Iraqi citizens were executed by the Saddam regime. The years
combined, the rule of Saddam Hussein led to the deaths of 220,000 people. Undoubtedly
this gives a clear picture of the tyranny of a ruthless individual.

In comparison, occupation Iraqi Freedom led and initiated by George W. Bush resulted in
the deaths of approximately 10,700 civilians within the first year. This number does
not include the Iraqi soldiers killed in action that is estimated to be between 10,000
    and 15,000.

On average the Hussein regime resulted in 9,600 civilian deaths a year while Bush's
occupation has led to 10,700 civilian deaths in its only year thus far.

Dishonesty is clearly a trait with this guy...not to mention disgusting rhetoric- comparing Bush to Hussein is deplorable. He fails to mention that many innocent Iraqis died because of the fact that brutal thug, Hussein, intentionally put weapons and forces IN THE MIDDLE of civilian populations...in order to make sure the maximum number of civilians died- which he would use for propaganda purposes (this fool is playing right into it by using the figures- guess Hussein's plan worked, huh?)...nor does he mention the fact that, if Hussein had not taken control of the country and outlawed free elections or dissent, none of these civilians would have died by the hand of Hussein's henchmen, and there would not have been a need to remove him from power.

The author claims to care about the poor Iraqi people for being brutalized...tho, he wants us to believe that President Bush is evil because civilians died...and goes as far as to point out how many people died in a year's period. This guy makes me sick.

    Bob Graham is Delusional

Senator Bob Graham of Florida, it seems is insane- isn't he the nutjob that writes the hundred pages of diary everyday about what socks he wore each day, what snacks he had- when he ate them, what time he blew his nose, etc.?

Anyhow...Graham has said that Bush lied to the American people...he misled the country into war in Iraq and that he should have been impeached and removed from office. Too bad the bipartisan commission said there was NO misleading by anyone in the govt. and that there were no lies involved in going to war with Iraq- that the CIA's intel was used as a decision to go to war, along with Russian intel, intel from the UK (MI6), Italy, Spain, and other nations that ALL said Hussein had WMD...and to note, John Kerry has said for years that we MUST remove Saddam Hussein, and that he was a huge threat to this nation (if you don't believe me, watch Kerry say it himself here) The official policy of the US govt since 1998 (under Clinton) has been regime change in Iraq.

SO- Graham has a HUGE problem in calling the president a liar who should be impeached...unlike his pal, Bill Clinton, who ADMITTED to the nation on national TV he lied to us all and WAS impeached for his actions- Mr. Bush did not lie, and even the democrats involved in the hearings on 9/11 and Iraq said as much. No evidence exists to even suggest the president lied or misled the country in any way. This means that Mr. Graham, a leader in Congress is going against the clearly stated facts, which puts all Americans in danger. At a time of world war (if you don't think we're involved in a world war here, you're mistaken), no elected leader who represents the American people has any right to defy the facts involved and call the impeachement of a president merely for political gain- tho, tonight Graham appeared on Hannity and Colmes and fell right into Sean Hannity's trap...he quoted 3 statements from George Bush about Iraq, and Graham said that- yes, with these statements, Bush misled the nation- too bad that the quotes were actually from John Kerry, NOT George Bush. Kerry has said- if you don't think Iraq has WMD, you should NOT vote for me. You STILL want to claim this man isn't a flip flopper? Good luck.

So, Graham is a disgrace to his country. He calls the president a liar at a time of war...claims the war was a lie and based on misinformation from the president- tho even those on his side of the aisle say different in the official investigations into the war and 9/11 and other things related to both...His man, John Kerry has spoken out numerous times in the past several years agreeing with Bush, and going even further by calling for a regime change as early as 1999. Graham knows he's lying, but he's trying to sell his new book (that calls the entire U.S. war on terror a failure- another example of rhetoric that puts our safety in jeopardy), and he will do and say anything to sell his fictional book and hopefully move his career along. It's men like Graham that we need to make sure we keep OUT of the halls of Congress. Sad thing is- if we went and removed such individuals, we'd have to take out the majority of the democratic party. We're living in sad times, my friends...

A note: This says a lot about Graham and most of the left- he said that in November when the election comes around...hopefully the race in Florida won't be as close as in 2000 and that it would add to Al Gore's victory, telling Sean Hannity that Gore did win the presidency in 2000, and that that was the truth. Again, I will point out that all the major newspapers and media outlets in the US went to Florida in 2001, counted and recounted all the ballots...did all they could to find more votes for Gore- and STILL, no matter how many unknown votes they counted for Gore, President Bush STILL won that state. So, don't believe the lies of the left when they claim the election was stolen by anyone...as I pointed out a few weeks ago, experts say that the media calling the state for Gore a full hour before Florida's panhandle polls closed could have cost Bush up to 10, 000 votes from people who vote largely Republican, but thought Gore had won, due to the faulty network polling data, and decided to not vote, because their vote wouldn't have mattered now that they called the state for Gore. Just another example of the America-loving goodness in the form of constant lies from the democratic party.

    Coins, Pictures, and Dancing Skeletons

This new collectors' mint silver dollar coin with the Twin Towers on one side and the Freedom Tower on the other- made from .999 pure silver recovered from a bank vault buried under the debris of the fallen trade center towers might seem a bit creepy to some, but I wouldn't mind having one. Only $19.95 plus shipping.

I didn't mention earlier, but I bought some talking skeleton from the halloween aisle...well, I bought a little mummy too- some little doll thing- made of whatever that stuff is called...I'm totally forgetting what you call it, but it's like a little figure. It was only 97 cents, and the skeleton guy who takes off his head and holds it and moves around and sings was like 11 bucks. Call me weird. I'll take a picture of it sometime later (below).

Out of Order and The Hills Have Eyes (DVD's)

Just went and picked up these two DVD's - at Wal Mart. My plan was to pick up Batman the Animated Series vol. 1, but they changed things last night (the guy working said) and they shipped those sets back to make room for newer releases. Sucks. So, I picked up an $8 DVD (Out Of Order- a wonderful Showtime series that was cancelled after the first 6 episode season- too bad the DVD is the 97 min pilot only, not the other 4 1 hr episodes),

and a $15 DVD (the Hills Have Eyes- Wes Craven's second film- about a family trapped in the desert, being terrorized by cannibals.)

I'm going to order Batman-TAS thru amazon in a couple of weeks, since I just ordered Manchild season 1 and Zack Files season 1 on DVD. Plus, the superman Justice League figure I posted a picture of a few days ago.

ALl Gore's Rabid, Foaming-at-the Mouth Attacks

I firmly believe Al Gore is mentally unstable. He used to be a boring man with a monotone voice who lost the election, because he had absolutely no personality- not to mention the few scandals that came to haunt him...and his ridiculous claims before the election. Mr. Gore is one of the only former vice presidents who I have seen use such hateful and outrageous rhetoric against a sitting president, and for that he should be ashamed of himself.

Today, Gore attacked the president again- foaming at the mouth, saying that President Bush's faith was similiar to that of the brutal regime of Saudi Arabia, Kashmir, and others like the two...that Bush was a coward and had no morals- strong words that are completely inapprpriate, especially coming rrom a former vice president. It shows you how much danger we would be in had Gore won...this is a man who constantly talks at moveon gatherings, who has turned into a complete radical the past two years in his vitriolic speech and his disgusting remarks about most every conservative out there. He is constantly using the word coward to describe President Bush- a label that clearly doesn't fit the man at all...especially not a moral coward- since, even his rivals, say that he's solid on what he believes and has a strong moral background (the American people agree...he has a 30 pt lead in the polls over Kerry on the subject of morals and leadership.)

Former Vice President Gore is a danger to our country...such hate coming from the mouth of a former leader always puts this country in a bad position. Those who would do us harm will no doubt play into the rabid speeches this man continues to make, and that cannot be good news for our nation.

    - - - - - - - -

In other news...Kerry has a NEW position on Iraq. He now says that Iraq IS part of the war on terror, and today he talked about hitting the 1, 000 soldiers killed mark- saying that we have lost over one thousand men and women fighting for freedom. Clearly, if Kerry says they are fighting for freedom- he thinks that the war itself is a matter of freedom for Americans- which means, it WAS the right war at the right time...folks, face it- THIS is why everyone calls John Kerry a flip-flopper...because it's true. Even former President Bill "Perjury" Clinton told Kerry he needed to stop with all of his "nuanced" positions on every issue and to be more precise on where he stands. If Bill Clinton tells Kerry to have a clear position and to be less "nuanced" (read: don't try to have ten positions on every issue), you know it's true that Kerry is, indeed, a flip-flopper as has been said.

The left is destroying this country...Kerry, who has a thousand positions on every issue, former leaders like Al Gore attacking Mr. Bush's Christianity (I wonder what the people from all the black churches Gore always speaks at would think of this attack), and others on the left who refuse to get rid of the hate from their current campaign. It seems most of these people not only Bush (for no clear reason- other than "he's evil," as they say- which is, of course, absurd), but it seems to me that they hate America itself. They will say anything hateful about the country, about the military, about our economic system, etc. - no matter if it puts us in danger or not...as long as they attack like rabid dogs and continue to do so until November...and most likely beyond that. It's sad that an entire party has become so hateful, and it helps no one- not those on the left who are full of hate, nor the right who are the targets of the hate, or the American people who will suffer because of it.

    Largest/Smallest

I was just looking at a map of the US (well, and Canada) and Alaska is nearly half the size of the 48 states. I wonder if that's the case, or if the map was just crazy.

On that subject- why do people call the most populous cities/states the "largest?" Like NYC- it has the most people, so they call it the largest...which makes no sense, considering NYC isn't very large (sorry, but large means area! not population!)...the LARGEST city in the US is Jacksonville, Florida. The most POPULOUS city in the US is, as mentioned, NYC. The largest state in the US is Alaska, the most populous is California.

It's silly to use population as largest and smallest...it's like saying- i have two rooms. One is the size of a football field, and the second is the size of a normal school classroom- I've got a hundred people in the classroom-sized room, and 10 in the football field-sized room. Which is the largest room? No one would say the classroom, so why do we say NYC is the largest city when it's actually quite small? I don't get it, but it annoys me- I do get that much.

    Kerry's List of "Lies"

Nice info. I found. John Kerry basically said that everything everyone said at the Republican Natl. Convention was a lie about him...then, his website posted a list of "143 lies"...a post they titled "The 2004 GOP Convention: Four Days Filled With Lies, Mischaracterizations, Distortions, And Half-Truths." They didn't even attempt to refute any of these so-called lies (I went thru them- they're not lies at all), and they soon took the page down altogether. Luckily, people had the page cached, so we could see the lies from Kerry/Edwards.

    http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/kerry/kerry-rnc.html
    - - - - - - - - -
I thought I would take a couple of the "lies" Kerry's camp posted and make a few notes.

Taxes, Litigation, and Regulation Lead to Job Loss.

    29. Hastert: These [taxation, litigation, and regulation] are the job killers. They add
costs to our products and put American workers at a disadvantage.

How on earth is this a lie? All three of these things kill jobs...they hurt business. Free market capitalism with less regulation, lower taxes, and fewer lawsuits is the best system in the world to make a people of a nation richer (in all ways.) If this is a lie, I assume John Kerry plans to create jobs with higher taxes, more regulation, and more lawsuits? This makes no sense, and it's puzzling why a presidential campaign would be so clueless as to say this.

Republican Convention Will Present a Positive Agenda.

    34. Ed Gillespie: We will present a positive agenda for our future that will expand our
Republican majority in the Senate, expand our Republican majority in the House, and
expand our majority of Republican governorships.

Funny. I watched the entire convention, and I have it all saved on my computer- it sounded very positive to me. The main theme throughout was- Bush can help make this world a safer place, and he won't stop fighting for the freedom we have enjoyed for 200+ years. That's the epitome of a positive agenda. There was very little mentioning of John Kerry or the past- it was nearly all about Bush's strong leadership (the polls show Americans trust Bush as a stronger leader with a double digit lead over Kerry...) Strong leadership is surely a positive items on the agenda...so, calling this a lie is nonsense. Is Kerry saying that the entire Republican platform is negative? That makes very little sense, considering the sitting president IS a Republican, and historically- the current party in power has the more positive agenda. Kerry and Edwards claim there are two Americas- a rich America (which Kerry and Edwards are a part of), and a "miserable America"- as Kerry called it. That's totally insane- of course, but it's also quite negative. Funny how Kerry's mind works.

Bush Leading the Global Fight Against Disease & Hunger.

    25. Marc Racicot: We are leading the world in the fight to eradicate disease and hunger.

Clearly America, as a nation, is leading the global fight on disease and hunger- since we give billions more than other nations- that has to be true. Bush is the leader of the nation, and he has signed legislation that has sent billions to help with the AIDS crisis in Africa, and has started to rebuild two oppressed nations. That, by definition, is leading the fight. It's shameful that a member of Congress would even say this to begin with- and to call it a lie makes it that much worse. If this is Kerry's attempt to bash the US contribution to the world- he chose a poor time to do so. Then again, bashing America's agenda is never good.

I could go thru the other 140 items, but I won't. The campaign took the page down- they knew it was shameful nonsense, and America knows too. This is the tactic used by Kerry/Edwards- no real agenda for our nation...nothing but attacks on Bush, and Americans aren't buying into it.

    Boomtown Theme Song

Check out the theme to BOOMTOWN- the NBC series that was recently released on DVD...cancelled after the start of the second season. A great show that NBC didn't give a chance, I believe. Wonderful theme song with a great opening "animation" sequence. I say animated, tho it's probably actual footage of downtown L.A.- you'd have to see the opening to know what I'm talking about. It's very unique and creative, to say the least.

Anyhow, here is the theme song recorded from my dolby digital sound card- so the quality is great.

    Can America Survive? -Book Review

Can America Survive? The Rage of the Left, The Truth, and What to Do About It is a new book by Ben Stein and Phil DeMuth that explains the myths about America perpepuated by many on the left, and exposes the truth- that America is a great nation full of opportunity for all people of all races, be they man or woman, black or white, rich or poor (tho, we see with the facts that the "poor" in America are often times very well off- and even the real poor are much better off than any of the other poor anywhere on earth.) It's a very pro-American, patriotic book where the authors discuss a number of topics, including: radical environmentalism (the environment has been getting better for decades NOT worse, and the main polluters of the world are in South America and Asia- not the US), sexism (women are not held back in America- they use stats to show how far women have come since 1900 when they truly were held back...using official stats to show that women make up the majority of undergraduate students, make just as much money as others, make up a high percentage of professional jobs, etc.), racism (millions of whites in America fought along side blacks for civil rights in the 50's and 60's- no other nation has experienced one race fighting for another race held back by their first person's race like has happened in the US- stats are used to show black/hispanic home ownership numbers, job numbers, college numbers, etc.), and a few other topics that many on the left claim America should be ashamed for.

When the truth comes out, we see America is a place of outrageous fortune (both in monetary terms and lifestyle), the "poor" are getting richer along with the "rich" thanks to the wonderful system of capitalism, and global capitalism is helping to raise incomes of people in nations around the world. For example- when you look at the left and how they bash companies for paying overseas workers so little- they never take into consideration that- before that US company went overseas to find workers...these people weren't working at all. $10 a month seems like nothing to American standard, but every nation in the world isn't like America in this way, and some of these people were making $0 a month- $10 is a lot better than nothing...and, in terms of productivity levels- $10 a month isn't too bad, especially in some of these nations where this takes place. The stats and the facts prove that global capitalism has helped the entire world- looking at stats from a hundred yrs ago and stats from today- we see that all the world is richer and better off- and the only places lagging behind are those without free markets, property protection, liberties, etc.

The authors end the book by going thru various topics, and showing how America is the best place in the world, and that America-haters have no place in the debate. The fact that the US takes in more immigrants than all other nations combined- and many of these immigrants risk life and limb to get here says a lot, and the America-haters need to be shown as such- haters.

Stein and DeMuth tell us that we all need to teach our children the great things about this nation, and how people here have it better than in any place on earth. We're all here in this diverse nation, full of many different people on a level playing field, equipped with the freedom and liberties to make all the nations of the world a better place. We need to teach our children that the threat of terrorism is a major threat, and this generation will need to keep up the fight- just as the US defeated nazism, communism, and other evils in the past century- we can all band together to fight and destroy global terrorism to assure peace and prosperity for our children and grandchildren. That means that we have to have a love for country and it needs to be stronger than ever- only then will we pull thru and be victorious.

They end the book with a list of various resources (books, videos, websites) that show the beauty of America in terms of fighting racism, sexism, communism, etc., as well as books that show the evils of communism and socialism- so we may teach our children to not be tempted by such forces in the future.

A well written book that makes your love of country stronger- exposing the America-haters as factually inaccurate, and showing that America truly is the greatest nation ever.

    Stereotypes in Advertising

I've noticed that many of the commercials, and some of the shows on the new network (new to me) MUN2 are in spanish. The network itself is billed as the source of entertainment for latin youths in the US- an absurd idea...again, no network could cater to an entire RACE of people, and it's somewhat offensive to me to think that we try to stereotype an entire race of people based on a few things that one network has. Using Mr. Alien again- if I came down to earth and never knew a thing- I'd think all "latin youths" love awful spanish language music with music videos where all the women are half naked...along with really terrible hosts that only speak ghetto English. I'd be wrong, of course, so why these networks even exist is puzzling.

Anyhow, back to the commercials...it's sorta sad to me that companies make both English and Spanish versions of their commercials- and play them both in the US. It's my belief that- if you live in the US, at least learn the language. You'll never make it here if you're clueless to English. Some people are bilingual- great...but, the commercials are complete stereotypes as well- every person in the commercials are totally "latin"- they all look like they just came in from Mexico, they're always standing in front of businesses (usually small food places with spanish writing on the outside), the ITT Tech commercial I just saw had the guy with his family, and they were putting out all sorts of mexican-looking dishes and he was as brown as can be. Does that mean that all people who are "hispanic" and speak spanish are dark brown like this? No. Do all these people eat the same things? No. Why don't we just throw in a sombrero and some of those shirts with the really weird arms that are all ruffled? Why not complete the steretype...throw in some menudo in a dish, and we've got the stereotypical latin American.

Might seem like such a little thing, but I disagree...racial stereotypes like this are absurd, and they're offensive to every person of every "race." When we see commercials with whites in them- do they all eat corn on the cob and wear straw hats and those scary farmer suspender pants (the name escapes me for some reason), and do all blacks sit around eating fried chicken and watermelon? Do asians sit around with their chopsticks taking pictures of NYC with the tourist shirts on? Would we all find these offensive? Surely. Then, why is it okay for companies to pander to the hispanic population with commercials filled with such stereotypes? I have no idea...but it's strange that I never hear anyone else complain about this.

NY Times Supposed Fact Check Proves Bias

Fox News reports: The NY Times did a supposed (SUPPOSED) fact check of the Bush acceptance speech...saying they were comparing his words to his record. Fox News Sunday reports that the Times did no such "fact check" of John Kerry's speech after the Democratic Convention.

    No media bias, huh?

This proves nothing. Nope. Nothing at all.

Just add this to the ever-growing list.

    Justice League Unlimited

I like these two figures...especially Superman. He's a lot better looking than the Batman figure...but, I like Batman more in the show.

    BatmanSuperman

These two figures are from Justice League on Cartoon Network. Just discovered this show recently. I like it a lot. I've never been into superheroes or anything- tho I did buy Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, and I liked Batman The Animated Series- mainly because of the beautiful animation, very 1940's looking to me- unusual shapes for the characters and all. Has a classy look you wouldn't expect from an animated superhero series. Justice League has similiar animation, but it seems more kid-like in many ways...not as dark and adult-like as Batman the Animated Series.

I set the DVR to tape the series anytime it airs. I tried to watch and get into Teen Titans, but I just couldn't from what I actually saw of it...

    The Anti-Globalization Idiots

Too bad the anti-globalization people are clueless to basic economics. Globalzation has brought wealth to all parts of the globe. The free market capitalist system where govt. plays a smaller role, and people have basic freedoms in general has increased the world's wealth in massive amounts the past 50 years...and that wealth has meant- cheaper food, more food, more people with food, healthcare advances, healthcare to more of the world's people, more clean drinking water, more jobs across the globe, etc. Anti-globalization fools are just that- complete fools who are completely ignorant of the very basic issues that face the world. It's sad that some of these people are so completely ignorant, and they refuse to look at the numbers and realize that globalization is doing the very things they're claiming it's killing.

The rich are getting richer...but guess what folks? The "poor" are also getting richer- in every corner of the globe.

Then again, we are talking about the same sort of people that always riot when the world bank meets, and they cause tens of millions of dollars of damage- damage to businesses that have to then spend money to repair that damage, instead of paying more of it to their employees, which is used to buy things...which enriches nations across the globe that specialize in different products, which enriches the lives of workers in other countries, which helps bring more companies in, which gives more people a chance to work, which gives tham a chance to buy the things they need, which in turn raises the worker's productivity levels, which means their wages will eventually go up...and on and on and on.

Plus, you know you're dealing with idiots when they promise more "disturbances."

    Protestors Threaten Venice Film Festival

Anti-globalization activists are vowing to cause more disturbances at the Venice Film Festival to protest against Hollywood's wealth and reach. Dozens of protestors attempted to overshadow the appearance of movie heavyweights Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg on the red carpet Wednesday, to complain about US blockbusters and high ticket prices. The uninvited guests made their point by parking a car disguised as a pirate ship outside the cinema in the Italian city. Hanks and Spielberg launched the festival earlier that day after organizers decided to reinvent the event with a star-studded cast - a move which has infuriated anti-capitalists, who feel ordinary members of the public are losing out to celebrities. Luca Casarini, one of the "no-global" organizers, says, "This should be an event open equally to everyone, not an ostentatious show of wealth and Hollywood power. There are going to be more disturbances, we want our voice heard."

    Falwell on Zel, New TV?

I was impressed with Sen. Miller's speech. He spoke the truth- plain and simple...and, when a member of your own party speaks such truths, it can't be good news (for Kerry, that is.) Bush has gotten a big bump from the campaign, and America is voicing its opinion...we want a strong leader who gets supports from republicans and democrats alike. A man who has true, solid values and sticks by them. A man of character and integrity who speaks from the heart and really cares about the American people. More people realize today that George W. Bush is that man, all thanks to his actions and the wonderful speeches given this past week.

Miller made greats points, as did the other speakers- we cannot let down in this new war. We are at a vital point in our history, and this generation WILL decide the fate of this great nation. We cannot do what Europe has done for the past few decades and appease those madman who are hell bent on destroying freedom around the world...we must rise to the challenge and refuse to back down until every last one of these brutal monsters are rooted from the holes they live in. Thank God, we have a strong leader who will do this and continue to do this...Zell Miller realizes these truths, and America does as well.

    ZELL’S FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

As a Baptist preacher, I have witnessed a few blistering sermons through the years. But I can’t recall a sermon as scorching with passion and righteous indignation as the Republican National Convention speech given by Sen. Zell Miller, the Georgia Democrat who pulled no punches in identifying the absolute surrender of his party to leftist special interest groups at this pivotal time in our nation’s history.

Speaking for the vast majority of Democrats and Republicans in the south, Sen. Miller decried the Democrat policies that are “motivated more by partisan politics” than by a concern for our national security. It needed to be said and Sen. Miller was the perfect man to deliver the message.

I was privileged to spend three days at the Republican Convention in New York City and felt specifically honored that I was in the house to witness Sen. Miller’s moving call for bipartisanship in the defense of freedom and the effort to safeguard our nation from those who seek to annihilate us.

While I knew that the left would criticize Sen. Miller for crossing party lines and utilizing tough language, I never imagined how far that criticism would go.

Erstwhile talk show host Dick Cavett actually accused Sen. Miller of looking like a “Klansman” on the “Imus in the Morning” broadcast on Friday. Two days earlier, MSNBC talking head David Gergen suggested on a “Hardball” segment that Sen. Miller was a “man of hate” in the vein of his one-time segregationist boss, Georgia Democrat Gov. Lester Maddox.

Thankfully, conservative analyst Laura Ingraham, who was sitting on the MSNBC dais with Mr. Gergen, ripped into him in defense of Sen. Miller. In a heated retort, she blasted those who would use such inflammatory rhetoric to attack the senator because his speech had dared to expose the left’s influence by pacifists and globalists who don’t have America’s best interests at heart.

On her website (lauraingraham.com) this week, Ms. Ingraham furthered her defense of Sen. Miller: “The usual suspects in the media (Joe Klein, Chris Matthews, etc.) are breathless about Zell Miller’s ‘angry’ convention speech. Well, Zell has a right to be angry. He’s been a good Democrat his whole life, and after he served as governor of Georgia, he goes to the U.S. Senate and finds that the whole party has been taken over by elitists who despise him and everything he stands for. And on top of everything else, he has to watch John Kerry — of all people — claim to be strong on defense. That should make a person mad. …”

I appreciate the warrior spirit of Ms. Ingraham and her willingness to take a stand. We need more like her. It’s about time we see some righteous anger to counter the reckless allegations that typically spring out from leftist critics who ignore their own party’s skeletons.

As for the overall state of the Republican Party, I can report that the GOP platform is very reflective of our conservative ideals. I was able to meet with several party officials, including Senate Majority Leader William Frist, who were actively involved in creating and guarding the platform. I am happy to report that the platform remains pro-life and pro-family.

I believe the platform has been just as important as the convention in the accelerated momentum the GOP now has.

And now that the convention is over, many members of the mainstream media are almost hysterical regarding the thrust the event brought President Bush. Unlike John Kerry’s dilemma after the Democratic Convention, where his poll numbers remained virtually stagnant, President Bush got an immediate bump in the polls (which some say may rise to 8-9 points by Monday).

I believe this is yet a clear indication that the majority of our fellow Americans are tired of the notion that, as Sen. Miller described it, “America is the problem, not the solution.” I thank God for intrepid men like Sen. Zell Miller who will stand against a terrible tide of unreasonable disparagement in order to defend the nation we love.

Setting the Record Straight: President Bush's Tax Cuts Reduce Burden on the Middle Class

Kerry Claim: President Bush's tax breaks have forced middle class families to pay a bigger share of America’s tax burden.

The Truth: Today’s Democrat-requested report from the Congressional Budget Office confirms what the Treasury Department reported earlier this year and what the Joint Committee on Taxation reported in 2001: All income taxpayers benefit from President Bush's tax cuts. The reality is that President Bush's tax cuts have made the income tax more progressive.

  • Top One Percent of Earners: The percentage of income taxes paid by the top one percent of earners will be higher this year under the tax cuts (32.3 percent) than without the tax cuts (31.6 percent).
  • Middle Class: Under President Bush's tax cuts, the middle 20 percent of earners will pay just 5.4 percent of all income taxes this year. Without the tax cuts they would pay a higher 6.4 percent of all income taxes.
  • Bottom 80 Percent of Earners: Under President Bush's tax cuts, the bottom 80 percent of earners will pay just 17.8 percent of all income taxes this year. Without the tax cuts they would pay a higher 21.6 percent of all income taxes.
  • John Kerry's attack is misleading in light of the fact that his budget numbers don’t add up, and he'll raise taxes to pay for his spending. Kerry has voted 98 times for higher taxes totaling more than $2.3 trillion during his 19 year Senate career. Kerry has made 133 campaign promises. According to a recent American Enterprise Institute study, Kerry's plans for new spending add up to between $2 trillion and $2.1 trillion over the next ten years. Kerry has even referred to his 1993 vote for the largest tax increase in U.S. history as an economic blueprint for his presidency.

And, great news for the Bush team...Kerry had no bounce from his convention, but Bush has gotten a double digit bounce. Bring on the debates- an even bigger increase will be likely in my opinion...

Bush leads Kerry by double-digits in poll
    9/3/2004, 4:45 p.m. ET
    The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush leads Democrat John Kerry, 52 percent to 41 percent, while independent Ralph Nader got 3 percent in a national poll taken during the Republican National Convention that ended Thursday.

The Time magazine poll of 926 likely voters was taken Aug. 31-Sept 2, during the convention and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Bush had 46 percent, Kerry had 44 percent and Nader 5 percent in a Time poll taken just before the convention.

Veteran pollsters say that polls taken during convention weeks should be viewed with caution because they are conducted at a point when public opinion is focused on only one party and a bounce in the numbers could be short-lived.

However, they also noted that polls taken during conventions can sometimes foreshadow a longer lasting bounce. Much of the poll was taken before President Bush's speech on Thursday night.

Bush leads Kerry in areas like handling terrorism, handling Iraq, and providing strong leadership. Bush and Kerry were about even on handling the economy, an improvement for Bush compared with other recent polls.

FINALLY...Looking at any news pictures of the majority of protest banners and posters, etc...and reading stories like this...actually looking at the facts- bolsters my case that America doesn't usually look kindly on protesters, and they are, indeed, a joke for the most part.

    Night of the Living Dumb
    By: Bill O'Reilly for BillOReilly.com
    Thursday, Sep 02, 2004

No question that President Bush has regained some momentum in his quest to retain power. The Iraq war defense put forth by Rudy Giuliani and John McCain at the Republican convention actually silenced media critics for a few days, and the populist Arnold Schwarzenegger painted Mr. Bush as an effective, inclusive leader.
But world events have also helped the President. As terror rises all over the place, it becomes increasingly difficult for the Bush haters to diminish the President's own hatred for the "evil doers."

Iraqi terrorists slaughter a dozen waiters from Nepal. Chechen terrorists hold little children hostage and blow up two airliners. Even France was assaulted, as Islamic terrorists demanded that country rescind its ban on the wearing of headscarves in public schools. At this point, it is almost impossible to make a rational case against an aggressive war on Islamic fascism.

The people protesting the Republican Convention also helped Mr. Bush. With more than a thousand arrests, some cops badly injured, and innocent people harassed, the protestors are looked upon as fanatical and irrational by many Americans. And some of them are. A survey by The New York Sun newspaper found protestors favored a socialistic government more than any other. That kind of attitude is not a help to Senator Kerry.

Increasingly, the visible anti-Bush forces are defining themselves as way out there. A new Zogby poll found that almost half of New York City residents believe some in the Bush administration knew the USA would be attacked on 9/11, and did nothing to stop it. Of course, there's not a shred of verifiable evidence backing up that insane belief. New York City is overwhelmingly anti-Bush, and the rest of country is noticing the caliber of criticism. If I were making a movie about the irrational Bush haters, I would entitle it "Night of Living Dumb."

The fundamental problem with the anti-Bush zealots is that they desperately want to believe the President is a bad man, and will reject all rational discussion that goes against their thesis. That kind of fanaticism frightens mainstream American voters and creates sympathy for the President. Irrational displays will never win an election. Ask Howard Dean.

A few months ago, I wrote in this space that John Kerry would not be seen in public with the likes of Michael Moore and the other far left bomb throwers, and that has proven to be true. Mr. Kerry knows he must convince centrist voters to support him if he wants to win, and radicals like Moore alienate the center.

If you still don't believe me, consider this: Fox News and your humble correspondent have come under horrific attack from the radical left. But every time a smear book or movie comes out defaming us, our ratings go up. My television program "The O'Reilly Factor" easily won its timeslot in the cable news wars during the Democratic Convention, and we beat the opposition three to one during the Republican gathering. The more the crazies tell Americans that I am unfair and unbalanced, the more people tune in. Where do I send the gift?

So there has been a momentum shift towards the Bush camp that should last until the debates, which begin at the end of September. Those displays will mean more than all the protests, all the mud slinging and all the spin. Not since Kennedy-Nixon have Presidential debates been so crucial. I can't wait.

    Navy Challenging Kerry's Medals

Interesting development...weird, I haven't heard it mentioned on TV or radio yet.

    Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 12:08 a.m. EDT
    Navy Challenging Kerry's Medals

The United States Navy is challenging the authenticity of Sen. John Kerry's Vietnam War medals, in a development that could prove to be the most damaging yet to the embattled Democrat's presidential campaign.

A Navy spokesman is calling Kerry's Silver Star citation with Combat V "incorrect" as it appears on his campaign Web site, explaining in an interview with Chicago Sun-Times reporter Thomas Lipscomb that the Navy has never issued a Combat V at any time for the Silver Star.

The Navy also is questioning the listing on Kerry’s Web site of four bronze campaign stars for his service in Vietnam. The official naval record credits Kerry with just two Vietnam campaigns.
"That is sufficient for the wearing of the Vietnam Service Medal for one campaign bearing one campaign star for the additional campaign — not four," reports Lipscomb in today's New York Sun.

Kerry's campaign has repeatedly cited the Navy as the ultimate authority on the candidate's war record, saying the Navy wouldn't have awarded him medals he didn't deserve.

But with the Navy now publicly challenging Kerry's decorations, that defense has been rendered inoperative.

Noting that Kerry has refused to authorize the release of his full military records, the legal watchdog group Judicial Watch called on Kerry this week to remove any questionable citations from his Web site pending a formal investigation by the Navy.

"It is to your best interest to have your record in good order," Gen. Thomas Wilkerson, the president of the U.S. Naval Institute, told Lipscomb. "If it is wrong, you are accountable. And if you use it to advance your career, it is even more important.”

    Objective Journalism?

I'm no journalism expert...but, isn't BET News a straight news show, not an analysis program? And if so, isn't is wrong for a news reporter to endorse a candidate? The lady from BET News (news on BET- that's a joke...the racist channel is a joke) was saying John Kerry would win when asked by Larry King on CNN...and she had to talk about "african-american" voters. I could be wrong- maybe it's proper for reporters to do this- but, if that is the case, it doesn't make much sense. If you go on national TV telling America you think Kerry will win and that he supports blacks...you can't really be trusted too well when it comes to straight news reporting, as opposed to analysis.

On that subject...will the idiots of the world stop using that demeaning term 'african-americans.' It's not only false (not all blacks came from africa, and even blacks who had ancestors who came from africa at some point- they're no longer african americans...just as I'm not a german, irish, french- whatever country my family came from originally american.) I'm simply an American. It's like calling every person with any hint of asian to their face a 'jap' or 'chinese.' Or calling every white hillbilly without teeth a Kentuckian- it's just plain stupid and wholly inaccurate. The term african american itself- used by so many blacks themselves, is demeaning in that it's almost as if- they're not really true americans, only part of them is american (the non-african part, I assume?) No other group of americans puts a word in front of 'american' and says- this is what I am...like this group does...not to mention all the whites and others who feel as tho the world black is, I don't know, taboo...or even offensive. It's no more offensive than describing a person like me with light brown skin (every human has skin that is some tone of brown) "white." It'd be nice if we'd stop trying to divide ourselves by skin color and other such trivial traits.

    A Clear Pattern with Terrorism

    Some current events...

Two Russian airliners shot down- explosive residue found...most likely chechan terrorists- muslim.

Iraq...terrorists coming from all over the world, murdering 14 innocent waiters from Nepal. Iraqi or foreign born terrorists- almost surely muslim.

French journalists taken hostage, terrorists threatening to kill them...threatening to kill all French citizens for ban on head scarves and large religious symbols in public schools. Hostage takers- muslim.

Chechan terrorists take over 400 men, women, and children hostage in Russian school...they've killed some of the people who drove to close to the school with grenades...they're wearing suicide belts and have weapons, threatening to kill innocent children. The attackers- muslim.

If you don't see the clear pattern with worldwide terrorism...you never will.

    Monk a Cop? I Don't Think So!

I just had to comment on a story I read online while searching for news on the actress who is leaving Monk. Monk is one of my favorite shows on TV- one of the most well written series ever, in my mind. It seems the actress who plays Monk's nurse/friend/sidekick won't be returing for anymore episodes. No idea if the show will even survive with such a dramatic change of the entire storyline, but who knows.

Anyhow, I found this article here from some online disabilities magazine, where the woman is arguing that Monk should be allowed on the police force and that the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) makes it illegal to deny him a spot on the force. Of course, this is absurd...a man who can't shake your hand without having an anxiety attack surely should not be allowed to carry a gun and walk the streets as an officer.

People that support this sort of stuff annoy me. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and social anxiety- and it has affected my life in very dramatic ways. I don't whine tho. I don't complain...I don't demand that I be treated in the same manner that everyone else is. I know there are things I cannot do- things that would be impossible for me, and I accept that. I embrace it. I don't want to live in a world where everyone demands to be allowed to do everything- even if they have disorders that ultimately make it impossible to do these activities. I want to live in a world where people with disorders are strong and take life into their own hands and make of it what they can.

I replied to the person who wrote the article, and I pasted that reply below.

I think people with disabilities- people like me- shouldn't whine and complain...no bitching and moaning about not being able to do this, and not being allowed to do that. No matter what the all positive- all the time people want to tell you- the word DISabilities means just that...you don't have all the abilities someone else might have. You might other abilities that others are lacking, and you can use those in life to make the world a better place. But, if you can't walk, you can't realistically become a bike messenger, and if you have the constant problems Monk has- you can't ride around in a police car and serve the people and fight crime. Sure, he's brilliant as a detective, but if he were on the force- that's a totally different story, and it's nothing something he would do. It's time people embrace their disabilities and find the abilities they do have- abilities that will ultimately allow them to live better and fuller lives.
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
my reply to the article's author:
First off, I have anxiety, OCD- a bit, and social anxiety...so, I can understand what the character is going thru.

Much of the ADA is a joke...it's much too far reaching, and allows people to get into positions where they have no business- it seems they made the laws in a way where they wouldn't offend anyone. All people, especially people who have disabilities like this (like me!) need to buck up and be a bit stronger. Such is the case with Monk. If we allowed a man to serve and protect who couldn't even shake your hand without immediately needing a wipe, do you really think we'd be in a good position? Of course his disorder makes it where he can't do the job. If you're scared to death of milk, I surely don't want you carrying a gun and chasing criminals! If your job is to catch a criminal on the run, and a mere mud puddle gets in your war and stops that from taking place- I don't want you in a job where you're supposed to help people and keep us all safe!

We cannot whine and demand that everyone accept us in any position in life...because there ARE some things we just can't do. No one in their right mind would trust a man who has the problems Monk has with a gun, protecting us from the bad guys. I, for one, would be scared to death if he were a cop in my city! If a mere mud puddle could stop an officer from apprehending a criminal- don't we think that's enough to keep him OFF the force?

I wouldn't expect someone to hire me for a position where I'd have to do a lot of public speaking, and do well at it or make the company look bad...and I surely wouldn't expect any law enforcement agency to be forced to hire a man who can't even walk down the street without stopping at every street light to touch it and count it.
