Help Defend Our Religious Freedom

Are Left Wing Activists Monitoring
Sermons in YOUR Church?

As Pastor Ronnie Floyd of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, Arkansas
went about his preparations for his July 4th sermon, he had no idea
he would soon be the center of a national controversy

On the occasion of our country's birthday, he planned to encourage his flock to participate in the upcoming elections. Little did he know that, on this particular Sunday, not everyone in the pews would be a member of his congregation.

Among the usual churchgoers was a member of an ultra liberal organization called Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU). After the sermon, tape in hand, this left wing activist group filed a complaint with the IRS hoping to cause the church to lose its tax-exempt status.

The Pastor's crime? According to the complaint filed by Americans United, "...Bush is shown signing a ban on late-term abortions, an act most church members will laud, while Kerry is shown as one of a group of senators who opposed a law banning same-sex marriage, a stand most church members will likely oppose." Americans United wants the IRS to punish the First Baptist Church of Springdale because most of the congregation is Pro-Life and Pro-Family!

Using the Internal Revenue Service to Silence Pastors

Why was the First Baptist Church of Springdale singled out among the thousands of churches holding services the same day? According to Americans United, "The church is known for its stands on social issues and its opposition to legal abortion and gay rights." So there it is. If your church is Pro-Life or against the radical homosexual agenda you run the risk of being ‘ turned in ' to the Internal Revenue Service.

Will Your Church Be Next?

Will extremists from the Pro-Abortion Movement or those pushing for Homosexual Marriage be targeting your pastor and your congregation for intimidation? We can only stop the harassment of Houses of Worship by radical activists if we band together and make our voices heard!

Join with us in supporting Rep Walter Jones' (R-NC) effort to pass the "Houses of Worship Free Speech Restoration Act". This common sense bill would protect churches and their pastors from the kinds of vicious legal attacks launched by Americans United and other radical left wing groups.

The Act would, "...amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to protect the religious free exercise and free speech rights of churches and other houses of worship." This would stop Pro-Abortion activists and supporters of the radical Homosexual agenda from using the IRS Code to silence the Pro-Family movement. The bill currently has 168 cosponsors in the United States House of Representatives.

O'Reilly on Michael Moore

I saw O'Reilly interview Moore, and I think he did a very poor job. Moore claimed that Bush said the sole reason for war with Iraq was WMD- Bill never caught this lie, or he did but didn't care to point out the fact that Moore was lying. Also, Moore claimed that Bush said Iraq was an imminent threat, but the fact is- Bush made it clear we should go to war BEFORE they BECAME an imminent threat.

Other than that, I don't share O'Reilly's feelings of Moore, as mentioned at the end of this column. I dislike Moore extremely. Any man who spends all his time putting out lies to a semi-uninformed public, having millions of fools buy into his lies, and these lies make Americans LESS safe- is a man that I cannot stand. Documents have come up that terrorist groups have actually used Moore's book, Dude Where's My Country, an anti-Bush book without ANY truth- it's been totally debunked by numerous websites and newspaper columns, magazine articles, etc., as propaganda...which proves that Moore's works of fiction ARE dangerous to Americans. Not to mention, Moore continually talks about how evil America is and how evil our system of capitalism is (the same system that allows Moore to own a mansion in Michigan and a million dollar apartment in Manhattan), that Ameircans are stupid, that we're all materialistic- which is bad (again, two mansions, Mikey), that this country is basically the biggest terrorist on the planet. I personally hate Michael Moore for the danger he puts our country in every day he goes out there and speaks. If he hates this place so bad, this country that has given him tens of millions of dollars, thanks to that darned evil capitalism, I personally think he should get the hell out and not come back.

O'Reilly is exactly right in the end- Moore lives in his own world where facts do not exist.

Moore Sense Please

(Boston) Well, I finally tracked down Michael Moore. I saw him walking in the street outside the Democratic Convention Center and pounced on him like the paparazzi on J-Lo. Moore had been dodging me because his movie was becoming increasingly indefensible by something called "facts." But, to his credit, Moore took up my street challenge and agreed to appear on "The Factor".
We debated for ten minutes and Moore put forth the following:

That President Bush "lied" about Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction even though the 9/11 Commission, the Senate Intelligence Committee Investigation and Lord Butler's British Investigation all say Bush did not lie.

Moore defines a "lie" as anything that turns out not to be true. By following this logic, weather forecasters everywhere must now be categorized as pathologically dishonest.

Moore said he would not have attacked the Taliban government in Afghanistan after the 9/11 attack. Instead, he would have captured Bin laden by using "commandos." Apparently, Moore believes the Taliban would have allowed his "commandos" to root out Osama and his boys with impunity. Moore related the "commando" strategy to me with a straight face.

Moore denied that Ronald Reagan's arms build up had anything to do with the collapse of the Soviet Union and freedom for Eastern Europe.

The filmmaker then went on to say that pre-emptive war is wrong and would have been immoral even in the case of Adolf Hitler. Moore said he would have prevented Hitler from assuming power in the first place. I didn't have time ask him how he would have done that but I assume commandos would have been involved.
So, hey, Michael Moore this bud's for you. Thanks for showing up and debating. Now we know the under-pinnings of your world outlook.
What is still astounding to me is how many people continue to embrace the fantasies and deceptions of Michael Moore. Some people actually applauded him at the Democratic Convention, but the heavyweights stayed away.

In one bizarre scene, Moore was seated next to Rosalyn and Jimmy Carter. The couple stared straight ahead, looking like contestants about to eat bugs on the "Fear Factor," and the Kerry campaign has made it quite clear that Moore and other left-wing bomb throwers are not to be seen around the candidate.

In fact, the Kerry people actually censored some of the speechmakers from using inflammatory anti-Bush rhetoric. That is almost unheard of at a political convention.

But old reliable Howard Dean came through. He continues to be Michael Moore's best pal, appearing with him at a Bush bash in a Cambridge hotel. It is absolutely frightening how close Governor Dean came to being the Democratic presidential nominee.

This may surprise you, but I do not dislike Michael Moore. He is a true believer. He wants a completely different kind of country, and he'll do anything to make that happen.

The problem with Moore is that the ends justify the means. He knows his statements and movies are not based on facts, but he continues to say they are. Even in Moore's world where truth doesn't exist, there should be some kind of ethical standard, but there isn't. And the fact that Howard Dean and other powerful Americans accept that situation is more troubling than anything Michael Moore could ever say.

John Kerry Accepts Nomination, Lies to Nation

John Kerry lied again last night with his speech, accepting the nomination. He told the country he would "never mislead is into war." He has said this same thing a number of times, claiming that President Bush did just that...tho, all evidence is to the contrary. Bipartisan reports have come out and said that the president did NOT mislead the country. John Kerry KNOWS that UN intel, Russian intel, CIA intel, British MI6 intel, etc. ALL came to the same conclusion- Saddam had WMD. Reports of WMD being moved out of Iraq have been released, and the interim PM of that nation has said this is the case.

PLUS- John Kerry, who had the SAME intel. the president had voted IN SUPPORT of going to war...which means, if President Bush misled the country, Kerry, with his vote, having the same exact intel. also misled the country. John Kerry, the admitted war criminal in Vietnam, would never admit to such misleading, but if he's going to keep claiming that Bush did so, he must take blame as well.

The fact is- no one misled ANYONE. The president's intel (russian, UN, MI6, CIA) told him the same thing it told Kerry. Kerry has been quoted numerous times in the past 3 years saying that Hussein HAD to be removed and that a safe world could not include a Hussein regime. Edwards has said the same thing on numerous occassions. Therefore- Kerry, and maybe Edwards as well, make it obvious- lying is just part of the campaign. Lying is okay with John Kerry, and trying to mislead the American people into thinking the president misled them is okay with the Kerry campaign. Lying like this is not okay with me, tho, and it's not okay with the American people.

Umm...adult swim?

I woke up around 10 this morning (Tuesday)...I didn't work today, so whatever. I should mention, I have been sleeping on the floor for the past few years...I didn't have the money for a big enough bed (I'm 6'4"), and there wasn't much room for a bed anyhow. I got a king size bed two nights ago for $100...a family member of my aunt (aunt by marriage- I don't know the guy) was selling it, so I came home from work Sunday night and the bed was all set up, and they went ahead and bought me a comforter and sheets and all (blue to match the room.) That was nice, having a bed and being able to get a decent night's sleep, not having to turn over ten times a night because of the pain on my shoulders and hips and stuff from the hard floor.

So, I woke up and took the dogs outside...came back in and went into the pool a bit after this. It was probably 60 degrees...well, 60 something, and the water was FREEZING, I mean freezing to the point where my legs felt almost numb. It took me forever to get the nerve to go all the way under, because it was so friggin cold. I vacuumed the pool out, and I scooped out some stuff with the net...didn't really swim since it was so cold. Got a bit of sun and all. In the basket that sits above the filter, there were 3 HUGE flies, it was creepy-like, because they were mutant sized.

I came inside and watched some TV- mostly Fox News...and then I started unpacking boxes, took one shelf out of the closet and put my big white cabinet that holds VHS tapes in there...still need to figure out where I'm gonna put a few books and all my DVD's, not to mention some of my CD's, which I will probably put in this room (computer room, since the computer desk and all won't fit in the bedroom.) I unpacked some of the stuff that goes on this desk and just put it out, but didn't straighten it. Still have a few boxes to go thru and get stuff out.

I was driving to Arby's (and to the other house to get my other computer and some clothes- it's nearly empty), and I put Rahsaan Patterson's CD in (not sure if he has more than one CD, but it's the self titled album) and I discovered track 6, a song called COME OVER, which I have never listened to before. It's pretty good. I ended up finding another song on that CD a couple of years ago, since I mainly just listened to that one song, My Sweetheart that was all popular a few years ago. This guy sounds a lot like Babyface to me.

I've been taping that series from Canada, that now airs on Showtime Family Zone, The Zack Files- it used to come on Fox Family Channel then went away when ABC/Disney bought the channel. Anyone see that new Bravo series, Things I Hate About You? They have a couple on each show and they record their lives for two weeks, I believe, to see who is more annoying- the less annoying one wins a prize and gets to exact a punishment on the other. It was pretty funny- a couple who does a radio show together...the guy belches and farts all the time (really weird, LOUD, scary belches) and forgets everything, and the girl loves the dog WAY too much and always stresses way too much (they have another couple they know over for dinner every week, and she was acting as if it was a banquet, worrying a day in advance about every tiny little detail.) I checked out the entire series of the short lived series (from Fox, I think), The Tick (the live series, not the animated one) from the library on DVD. That and an episode of the british series, Campion which I have seen a number of copies of episodes before...I've seen the boxes, never seen the series itself.

Well, I'm gonna go watch the episode of Joe Schmo from last night that didn't tape the very end- good thing ir reruns on Tuesday night so I can see the entire episode. Bryce, the stalker, is back...creeeeeepy.

I will shut up with a quote from July 27's calendar entry from THE 365 STUPIDEST THINGS EVER SAID:

"As the ball gets softer, it loses it hardness."
sportscaster Geoff Boycott

Not a very funny quote, but it IS July 27, and I couldn't really post a quote from April, now could I?

Convention Update (More Carter Lies)

More lies from Jimmy Carter-

He claimed that there is no link whatsoever between al qaeda and Hussein's Iraq...and he said the president lied about that. Truth is, the 9/11 commission's report cited a direct link between the two groups- so, Carter's claims that such a link has been proven untrue is a lie, and he knows it. Jim Leher from PBS, who is doing the interview, should do his job and challenge such lies, tho he refused to say anything about it.

Carter also claimed that Cheney has said the geneva convention principles no longer apply. That's a lie...Cheney pointed out that, legally, the convention does not apply to terrorists held in Cuba. They are not part of a nation's army, so they don't get the protections. They do NOT apply to these terrorists, so Carter lied by claiming they do and calling Cheney a liar by claiming he said they no longer apply at all (to anyone), when he never said that and what he did say IS, indeed, true.

Carter also went on to talk about how the Bush admin. and the US is a human rights abuser, that Amnesty international calls our nation a human rights abuser, etc. He then went on to talk about how Bush is a liar and there was no WMD (WMD HAS been found. and the entire GLOBE thought there were stockpiles, PLUS intel shows that there's a good chance that WMD was moved to Syria before the war.)

Carter is showing the world WHY he was a failure as president. He's a weak man who has a bad relationshi[p with the truth who can do nothing but attack others for things they never really did...

Convention Update (Jimmy Carter's Nonsense)

More convention news.

Jimmy Carter- the worst president in history- is now implying that George Bush did not show up for his military service...he called Bush immature, and he called Kerry (the admitted war criminal) a hero. He claimed that Bush mislead the country as well.

He also implied that Bush is a liar, and that he has caused us to become isolated.

Shame on you, Mr. Carter. You were a failure during your term as president...and you're a failure still today. Not to mention, lies and distortions don't become you.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

(now Carter is claiming we acted unilaterally in the world under Bush, which is a lie. he's also implying that civil liberties are being trampled, and he says that the bush admin. is "extremist" and hes attacking preemptive war- tho john kerry NOW supports such an act- he said it was wrong before, until he flip-flopped. he's attacking bush now for not solving the crisis in Israel- nice, blame bush for the acts of the terrorist palestinians! good move! he's also blaming bush for north koreas nuclear buildup, but never mentions his own negoiations that allowed north korea to lie and start building nukes. carter was involved in what he would surely call a "victory," but it's been proven his solution was a farce.)

Convention Update (Trash Talking and Lies)

Convention Update: PBS just interviewed a foolish young woman from Florida who claims that her and others who voted for Gore in 2000 had their vote stolen, and that Bush's "friends" in the Supreme Court appointed him. Funny, seeing as how, as I mentioned, the left leaning media did numerous recounts and found Bush won no matter HOW you counted the vote in Florida...AND, the US Supreme Court is clearly not a Bush-friendly place overall. Ginsburg is a Bush "friend"? Not quite lady. The decision was 5 to 4 was it not? How that equals "Bush's" friends 'appointed' him is a mystery.

The dems are showing their true, bitter, hateful colors already and the convention JUST STARTED! Amazingly stupid move.

Now, a speaker (some woman) is claiming that the war in Iraq was based on "flimsy evidence" and that we are trashing our "treasured allies." More nonsense, of course. I won't even mention the truth about our so-called allies in Europe, nor will I mention the entire GLOBAL view that Hussein had WMD, nor will I mention again the entire details of the WMD that HAS BEEN FOUND and removed from Iraq since the fall of the regime. I won't even mention the millions found in mass graves, which was another reason given to go to war. "Flimsy evidence"? Maybe in the fantasyland you live in...but, lady- I live in the real world where Europe has been hating America for decades...where Hussein raped, murdered, tortued, maimed, and so on- innocent men, women, AND CHILDREN. I live in a world where lies like this, claims that the facts don't even get close to supporting ARE NOT tolerated by thinking Americans. The vitriol coming out of the first hour, the first HOUR!! of this convention is enough to make most Americans sick. Most Americans will not take this trash-talking nonsense...and they won't buy into your claims of "flimsy evidence" and "treasured allies" no matter how much you go on about it.

This is clearly going to quickly become a Bush-bash fest, and Americans will punish them for it.

Second Note to Democrats

Second note to democrats- get real and do not allow Al Gore to open your convention. Gore went on to claim that not all the votes were counted in Florida in 200 (despite the news media that did numerous recounts and found that Bush did, indeed, win Florida.) Then, he went on to claim that the Supreme Court CHOSE George Bush.

He is now talking about deficits...neglecting to mention a little thing called SEPTEMBER 11!! Then, he claims that the new jobs being created are basically worthless jobs- not true, since no job is worthless, since it helps an American feed their family and themselves.

He goes on to claim that our environmental laws are being trashed (not true), and that our civil rights are being destroyed (absurd), and that Bush has burned the bridges with our "allies." As I mentioned before- they never were allies, and they had unethical reasons to not agree with the administration.

Now, he is claiming that Bush has confused Al Qeada with Iraq (the reports have stated that there WAS a link between the two groups, showing that Gore is dishonest.)

This is disgusting.

Probably more later as I uncover the BS.

The Problem with the Democratic Party

Okay. A note to all those who support the values of the democratic party.

The government wasn't created to do EVERYTHING. Government should not run every aspect of our lives, or really any aspect of our lives. We were created as a free nation that is no longer very free in many ways.

Taxes should be low for EVERYONE. The entire 20th century has proven that many DOES NOT fix the problems we might have. Our education system is a joke, yet we spend billions upon billions on it. The government should get OUT of education. Private schools work better, and they provide better education- they always have and they always will. In public education, a teacher who has been in his or her job for so long basically gets to stay no matter how poorly they do their job and no matter how poorly their students perform. More money is being spent on schooling our kids all the time, yet there is little to no change in test scores and overall improvement.

Healthcare is not a right of all Americans from the government. Our founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if they knew how much this country spends on healthcare. The democratic party under Kerry says they will cover 95% of ALL Americans...but, the question always comes up- how on earth will this be paid for? Well, we'll tax the rich. Democrats want to cut the Bush tax cuts for the rich and even raise their taxes a few times. I will say it again folks, money isn't the answer. Better budgeting on the part of Congress IS one part of the solution. BUT...Democrats always neglect to mention that such an unfair tax hike on "the rich" would be a disaster, in that- the rich pay almost ALL of the money that funds our country's obscenely money-hogging, completely failed welfare programs. The numbers prove it- welfare has NOT worked, and guess what? It never will. You dole out money to lazy people who refuse to work, and you'll get them on it forever...plus, you'll get more lazy people to join the fray and live off the fed. Welfare has been a total failure, and it's done nothing but create an entire subgroup of Americans who crave government money, and will do anything they can to get it and not have to make their own cash. As I will keep pointing out- the top 10% of wage earners pay 80% of the cost of all of these various, bloated, failed programs. How is it fair to punish Americans who MAKE IT (that's the beauty of our nation...we all are given the chance to do ANYTHING we want), by hiking their taxes when they already pay HUGE amounts in taxes. If you have $10 and you pay a tax of 5%, you pay a whole heck of a lot less than the person with $10. 000 paying 5%. Of course the wealthy get back bigger tax returns...because they paid more to begin with! A hell of a lot more.

Next- raising the minimum wage has never created jobs...this is something that the democrats want to do, claiming if they raise minimum wage, they'll create jobs. Along with this and the removal of tax cuts for those making over $230,000 a year- they claim they can create 10 million jobs within 5 years. Complete nonsense. The minimum wage itself is a job KILLER, and raising the min. wage would kill even more jobs. It would kill jobs mostly for those who democrats claim to want to protect with such actions- the young, the unskilled, the poor. Unskilled and younger workers don't have the skills (get that, unskilled- that's how that works) to find the jobs, and businesses get into a bind by cutting jobs when min. wage is raised. When it's raised, businesses have to cut jobs and have others who are more skilled do more work. Not to mention, they have to cut jobs, because they cannot afford the extra costs.

These are just a few things that should be common sense to most Americans, but it seems that the entire democratic party holds true to such failed values. Values that have gotten us nowhere, and simply using some sense- we could make our country better, and we could create more jobs, give more Americans healthcare, etc.

The dems need to wake up...Americans of all party affiliations will turn their backs if they keep on with their outdated platform much longer.

Scumbag Creep Ted Rall At It Again

Ted Rall shows he's a sick SOB again
At least we have comfort in knowing that this guy will burn in hell when he dies.
This man has shamed the entire nation...just by being an American who hates his country, and has shown such hate time and time again with his "comic strip." He has embarassed himself over and over, and he has shown he cares nothing about the families of our soldiers, about having respect for our leaders or the offices they hold, and he has shown that he's a vile excuse for a human being who will get his one day...just wait, Ted. No man commits heinous acts like this without getting his due. In time, you're punishment will come. You're a disgusting child, Rall, and don't complain when you're rotting in hell for your actions here on earth.

Books

I picked up some books at the library today:

  • Camp Foxtrot

  • Foxtrot: Assembled With Care

  • Bucky Katt's Big Book of Fun

  • Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man

  • Shakedown Beach

  • Mr. Potato Head Unplugged (by Garfield creator Jim Davis)

  • Weapons of Mass Distortion: The Coming Meltdown of the Liberal Media
  • I started getting the comic strip SOUP 2 NUTZ in my e-mail, and was going to pick up the book for it, but it's checked out, so I wanted to get some books of comics to take to work with me, tho I haven't even looked at them yet, only read part of the Michael Moore book and, I started Shakedown Beach last week, as I mentioned before.

It's cooler in here today, which is a relief.

I'm off to read some more.

Demand Kerry and Edwards Resign Senate Seats

Weird...I was just thinking about this very issue yesterday. I think it's wrong for public servants to take OUR money without actually serving. I think that rules should be put into place that demands that Kerry, and all others in the same position, either show up for votes- and actually DO their jobs, or resign- no choice given to them. It's just not right for them to have elected seats in Congress and NOT even do the job they were elected for. The money that Kerry and Edwards keep taking COULD be left for the government, to pay for very costly liberal govt. programs (most of which are complete failures), but neither Kerry nor Edwards would stand for that. Why is it they can talk about money issues, yet take the TAXPAYER'S MONEY and neglect their actual jobs. I'd like to get paid for nothing too, guys! Shameful.

After reading this earlier (before I went to work), I wrote a letter to John Kerry at the address listed in the post itself below. No doubt, both Kerry and Edwards will refuse to resign and keep taking our money without doing their jobs. I have little doubt this is exactly how it'll turn out.
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Demand Kerry & Edwards RESIGN from Senate!

As you know, two of the most liberal men in the U.S. Senate -- John Kerry and John Edwards -- are now the presumed nominees for the Democrats' bid for the White House. They'll be accepting their nominations in Boston this month.

RightMarch.com plans to be there... IN THEIR FACES... in more ways than one. But we need YOUR help to do it!

    https://secure.cartlight.com/merchant/rightmarch/?afid=max

First of all, we plan to take out at least FIVE FULL-PAGE ADS in the greater Boston metro area, DEMANDING that Sens. Kerry and Edwards resign from the Senate in order to run for President and Vice President, because they're there so rarely there's no way for them to actually represent their constituents.

Sen. Edwards has missed 43 percent of Senate votes while running for President; Sen. Kerry has missed 88 PERCENT. That's simply NOT RIGHT, and the public is not being well-served.

In 1996, Republican Sen. Bob Dole of Kansas resigned his Senate seat - and his powerful post as Senate GOP leader - shortly before he formally accepted the Republican nomination for president. Shouldn't the American people insist that Kerry & Edwards have the integrity to do the same?

Adding insult to injury, according to the Boston Herald (3/1/04), "Kerry has been a virtual no-show in the U.S. Senate over the past 14 months, but he hasn't missed a paycheck," even though "federal law says some of his $158,000 salary should have been withheld." Edwards continues to cash HIS checks, too.

But, as the New York Post noted (6/16/04), "In 2000, then-Texas Gov. George Bush reimbursed his state a day's salary for every day that he was campaigning out of state and then-Lt. Gov. Rick Perry had to step in as acting governor."

Sens. Kerry and Edwards need to RESIGN NOW, and stop taking taxpayer money that they haven't earned!

Will YOU help us take out a full-page ad around the Democrat Convention in Boston, DEMANDING their resignation?

TAKE ACTION: Top government officials in John Kerry's home state of Massachusetts have already been urging him to resign from the Senate to run for president. Politicos in North Carolina have nicknamed John Edwards "Senator Gone" for constantly forgoing his duties as Senator during his "Pick-Me-For-V.P.-Tour."

John Kerry and John Edwards made a commitment to the people of Massachusetts and North Carolina -- a commitment to do a job, and a commitment to represent their states in the United States Senate. In fact, they took an oath of office. If they won't do the job they swore to do, why would we ever want them in the White House?

The overall cost of this campaign is over $50,000. We have VERY LITTLE TIME to raise enough money to place FULL-PAGE ads in Boston-area newspapers, demanding that Kerry and Edwards resign immediately. If every one of our members gave just $30 or $50, we could put those ads up NOW. But we know that many of our patriotic members just can't afford to give that much -- so some of you might be able to give more to make up for them, maybe as much as $100, $500, or even $1,000 or $2,000.

Our members have strongly supported our efforts, including several full-page USA Today ads nationwide, as well as national radio ad campaigns. PLEASE, go to our website below to make a donation TODAY -- let's make sure we stay in the FACES of the liberal Democrats, including right there in Boston:

    https://secure.cartlight.com/merchant/rightmarch/?afid=max

If you prefer to contribute by check, please make it out to:

    RightMarch.com
    4850 Golden Pkwy., Suite B,
    Dept. Code max
    Buford, GA 30518-1712

NOTE: As an extra "perk," if Kerry resigns, under current law, his temporary replacement would be named by the governor of Massachusetts... who just happens to be a Republican! North Carolina has a Democrat governor -- but 1 out of 2 ain't bad!

And remember our wildly successful counter-protest against the radical liberals recently in Washington, D.C.? RightMarch.com is co-sponsoring another "Operation Witness" protest in Boston during the Democrat National Convention, as well as another counter-protest against the protesters in New York during the GOP Convention. We'll let you know more shortly.

By the way, if you'd like to drop a personal note to Kerry & Edwards asking them to resign from the Senate, their e-mail address is info@johnkerry.com - have fun!

Be sure to forward this Alert to everyone you know who would like to help us take out our FULL-PAGE ADS targeting Kerry and Edwards in Boston-area newspapers.

    Thank you!

Kerry Lays all Blame for 9/11 on Bush, Without Reading the Report!

    Great post from Blame Bush!

Shocking that 3 of the most radical partisans in Congress- Pelosi, Teddy 'the drunk' Kennedy, and John Kerry- these fools will politicize EVERY issue no matter how important it is NOT to make it a political issue...they will attack and attack at every turn, to simply get attention away from their actions and the actions of their own party.

I always knew Kerry was a speedreader. I mean, heck, he has missed 88% of the senate votes this year, he must have TONS of free time...you would too if you lived off of taxpayer money without even doing the job you're getting the tax money for.

    Ted 'The Coward' Kennedy

Senator Ted Kennedy is a scumbag. Not only because his actions caused the death of an innocent woman, but also because he's a radical partisan that has made everything into a political issue. His comments about Iraq and President Bush have been so disgusting, I think he should booted from the Senate. Below is a story from Jeff Jacoby- a piece from 1994 about the 1969 incident at Chappaquiddick.

Jacoby poses a number of questions in his piece, but I have one to add- what in the hell is wrong with the people in Massachusetts that causes them to keep voting for this coward?

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Note: This column ran in The Boston Globe 10 years ago, 25 years after the 1969 death of Mary Jo Kopechne in Ted Kennedy's car. This week, therefore, marks the 35th anniversary of her death. Kennedy will be honored by the Democratic Party when its national convention meets in Boston next week.

    CHAPPAQUIDDICK'S UNANSWERED QUESTIONS
    By Jeff Jacoby
    The Boston Globe

    July 21, 1994

    "I've answered all the questions."

-- Senator Edward Kennedy, July 8, 1994 on the tragedy at Chappaquiddick

Twenty-five years ago tomorrow, on July 22, 1969, Mary Jo Kopechne was buried at St. Vincent's Cemetery in Plymouth, Penn. She had died three days earlier, pinned underwater when Senator Kennedy's car swerved off Dike Bridge on Chappaquiddick Island.

Within hours of Kopechne's death, a Kennedy aide named Dun Gifford flew a chartered plane into Edgartown (the Martha's Vineyard town that Chappaquiddick is a part of), with orders to get the body off the island. Before Massachusetts officials had even decided whether to perform an autopsy to settle the cause of death, Kopechne's remains were in Pennsylvania -- beyond the state's jurisdiction.

Did Kennedy order Gifford to remove the body?

That's one question the senator has never answered.

In fact, quite a few questions have never been answered.

    At least, not by Kennedy.

    At least, not truthfully.

Kennedy and Kopechne were part of a group of 12 that had come to Chappaquiddick for the Edgartown Regatta and a private barbecue afterward. Half the guests were married men, half were single women in their 20s. Kennedy and Kopechne left the party at some point that evening and ended up driving off the bridge.

Though Kennedy managed to extricate himself from the car and get back to his motel that night, Kopechne remained in the car until her body was recovered by a Fire Department diver at 8:45 the next morning. To the diver, Captain John Farrar, it was clear that she had neither drowned nor died quickly. Kopechne survived for some time by breathing a pocket of trapped air, finally suffocating to death when the oxygen ran out. When Kennedy reported the accident to the Edgartown police, it was 9:45 a.m. -- some nine or 10 hours after he left Kopechne in his car.

    Questions:

-- Why did Kennedy and Kopechne leave the barbecue?

Kennedy said they wanted to return to their respective motels and left to catch the ferry (which only operated until midnight) back to Edgartown center. But Kennedy's chauffeur, who was on hand, didn't drive them; Kopechne didn't take her purse or her room key; and they didn't go to the ferry. Kennedy headed in the opposite direction -- to Dike Bridge and the secluded beach beyond.

-- What time did they leave?

Kennedy claimed he left at 11:15 p.m., and the accident happened a few minutes later. Yet Deputy Sheriff Huck Look reported seeing Kennedy's black Oldsmobile at 12:45 a.m., heading down Dike Road toward the bridge. After the accident, the senator said he hadn't been able to rescue Kopechne because of the "strong and murky current" in which he kept getting "swept away." In truth there was no current at 11:15. The water was absolutely slack, at low tide. At 12:45, however, the current was fast-moving and strong.

-- Did Kennedy take a wrong turn without realizing it?

So he testified, and his whole story rests upon that claim. But the road to the ferry, which Kennedy had already traveled several times that day, was the only paved road on the island. Anyone driving from the house where the barbecue was held would have felt the road bank unmistakably to the left -- toward the ferry -- and would have seen the shiny left-turn sign. By contrast, it required a deliberate effort to turn right, toward the bridge. Dike Road was unpaved and very bumpy. Its entrance was obscured behind bushes and necessitated a 90-degree turn -- hard to do inadvertently.

-- Why didn't Kennedy call for help to rescue Kopechne?

Because, he said, he was in shock. He called his behavior "irrational, indefensible, inexcusable, and inexplicable."

Yet he was not too traumatized to return to the barbecue and fetch two close lawyer friends, Joey Gargan and Paul Markham. He was not too traumatized to make more than 16 long-distance phone calls that night to aides and advisers (none of whom tried to get help to Kopechne, either). Despite his "shock," he managed to: return to his motel, complain to the manager about a noisy party, go to sleep, chat with a friend the next morning about the boat race, order two newspapers, meet again with Gargan and Markham, and return to Chappaquiddick to call another lawyer from a pay phone -- all before going to the police.

    Other questions:

-- How much alcohol had Kennedy drunk that night?

-- If he and Kopechne did leave the barbecue at 11:15, what occupied their time until 12:45, when Deputy Look saw them drive toward Dike Bridge?

-- After getting out of the submerged car, why didn't Kennedy walk to the lighted house a few yards away and call for help? Or call from the house with the barbecue? Or from his motel?

-- Did he urge Gargan to fabricate a story about Kopechne being alone in the car when it went off the bridge?

-- Did he go to the police only when he realized he would not be able to carry off such an alibi?

-- If, as Kennedy said later, what was uppermost in his mind was "the tragedy and loss of a very devoted friend," why did he summon 19 high-level political advisers to Hyannis the next day?

-- Was the prosecutor rewarded for not bringing manslaughter or driving-to-endanger charges against Kennedy?

-- Why was the grand jury threatened with jail and intimidated by a judge when it tried to look into the tragedy?

-- When an inquest was eventually held, why did Kennedy fight -- against all precedent -- to keep its proceedings secret?

-- Why was Farrar, the diver, barred from telling the inquest and grand jury what he knew?

Twenty-five years ago tomorrow, Mary Jo Kopechne was buried. Three days later, Kennedy pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was sentenced to two months, suspended.

Following the secret inquest in January, District Judge James Boyle found "probable cause" that Kennedy had driven "negligently" and had engaged in "criminal conduct" that "contributed to the death of Mary Jo Kopechne." The senator was never prosecuted and never tried. Though he did not save his young friend that midsummer night in 1969, he did preserve his political career. Kennedy has been reelected to the Senate four times since.

One final question -- the one Kennedy himself asked in 1974, when Richard Nixon was pardoned:

"Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law, or is there one system for the average citizen and another for the high and mighty?"

NOW- Nazi Whiny Women Who Hate Men

When I file my complaint against the NAACP for violating federal law in regards to non-profit organizations when they're clearly supporting democrat John Kerry and continually attacking President Bush- I will also be filing a complaing against NOW (the nazi organization for whiny women), since they're also non-profit, BUT they have an entire site set up attacking President Bush, in which they claim that the President has:

"tearing down the progress women and other disenfranchised groups have made
over the last 35 years, ensuring that rich white males and giant corporations
will rule the U.S. for generations to come."

How he could possibly be destroying women's rights is beyond me. Clearly, he hasn't and now has just proven their group a democratic pure and simple.

Of course, they try to make their way around all of this by having a seperate entity PAC, which is simply a loohole in the law and needs to be changed, since it allows any non-profit group, which is not allowed to be political in its actions, BE just that with these groups that are almost always attack groups for the democratic party.

If you know anything about this group- they're not really for women at all. Like the homosexual agenda, NOW's goals are to give women special freedoms not afforded to men. You can listen to their directors on TV or in print media and get a kick out of the nonsense they spout out all of the time. They support gay marriage, and claim that gay marriage is a feminist/women's rights issue (nonsense), they claim that racism is a women's rights issue (nonsense), they claim "abortion rights" is a women's issue. See how they use the terms there? What the hell is abortion rights? NOW believes that women have the right to kill the children they choose not to have, due to their own irresponsible actions, and that doing so is an "abortion right." The only women that NOW represents are nazi-like women who hate men and demand that homosexuals be given special treatment, abortion is legal up to 9 months, that men be punished simply for being men, etc.

The Philippines Join France in the Hall of Shame

It's sad to say, but it's true- it would probably be a plus if the terrorists refuse to release the Filipino hostage they are holding. The Philippines gave into the hostages demands by withdrawling their small number of troops, and if they refuse to let him go now that they have withdrawn- it will show this coward nation that you CANNOT negoiate with animals that take innocent men hostage like these terrorists do. This man's murder would show that, in the end, tho you might negotiate with these butchers, you will never meet their ultimate demands, and they'll be back- time and time again.

This was a major mistake, and it put the Philippines into the same category as the appeasement-loving, wusses, the French. It's completely shameful for that nation and their people to bow down to the murderers like this.

Left Coast Report: John Kerry's Hollywood Values

    1. MoveOn to Tinseltown

MoveOn.org has been busy recruiting celebrities to help get President Bush tossed out of the White House.

MoveOn's political action committee, MoveOnPac, has amassed big-name Hollywood troops to produce campaign ads attacking Bush and assisting John Kerry.

Rob Reiner will direct an ad written by "West Wing" creator Aaron Sorkin. Literary mudslinger Al Franken is penning some copy. Comic Margaret Cho is writing and directing a piece, Danny Glover is set to make a splash, Alicia Silverstone is planning an appearance, and Woody Harrelson is scripting and directing a spot, according to reports.

There's even going to be an animated bit that uses the voices of Kevin Bacon, Ed Asner and Scarlett Johansson.

The ads will supposedly be tested on focus groups, and MoveOn will then determine the best timing and location for each bitter broadcast.

The Left Coast Report thinks, with the mock-umentaries and crock-udramas that Hollywood has been turning out lately, it's clear that they're well practiced in the art of making campaign ads.

    2. DNC Blogger Booboo

Some Democratic National Convention planners had a hip, trendy inspiration.

Instead of inviting only the usual media types to their Beantown fest, they thought it might be cool to also beckon some Internet bloggers. So they thought they'd throw an elite bloggers' breakfast and serve convention credentials with their pancakes.

A problem arose, though, because Dems gave out more credentials than they had allotted space for. This placed inclusive Dems in the sticky position of having to exclude some folks who had already been invited.

Some bloggers with a conservative orientation lost their credentials and are frustrated and a bit suspicious.

The Left Coast Report suggests that Republicans throw a brunch of their own - for slighted bloggers.

    3. Tuckered Out

PBS has lots of problems, low ratings among them.

But when press people had the chance to talk to PBS president and CEO Pat Mitchell, it seems there was only one issue on their minds - Tucker Carlson's new PBS series "Tucker Carlson: Unfiltered."

Could it be the press feared that a trend to the right was in the making?

Mitchell was on the defensive. "We are not in the pursuit of that kind of political equivalency," he assured them.

"We're not responding to those [political] pressures in any other way than to respond to the original pressure, which is to have all points of view," he insisted.

Carlson's program aside, it sure seems as if some in the press aren't thrilled about seeing an opposing view on TV.

The Left Coast Report would like to remind any fuming liberal reporters where it is that PBS derives its money - and it's not from a pot at the end of the "Reading Rainbow."

    4. Julia Roberts on Diva Patrol

Hollywood is known for coddling its stars. Now comes a story from the New York Post about palatial pampering related to the "Ocean's 11" sequel called "Ocean's 12."

Some of the highest-paid celebs in Hollywood make up the movie's cast, including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Andy Garcia and Matt Damon.

One member of the ensemble turned out to be a wee bit demanding.

Roberts reportedly insisted that some scenes be refilmed because she was unhappy with the way she looked.

The entire cast and crew had to be flown to Chicago for a day of reshooting. Across from the set were three mansions rented for the cast's comfort. Roberts, curiously, ended up with one of the manors all to herself.

Reports indicate that she demanded that costly new wardrobe items be brought in because she wasn't pleased with the original cinematic outfits.

Despite the unforeseen expenditures, Warner Bros. insists through its spokesperson that the project is "on, if not under, budget."

The Left Coast Report hears the refrain of a new tune. I think it's called "Petty Woman."

    5. John Kerry's Hollywood 'Values'

Hollywood leftists recently hosted a $5 million fund-raiser in Los Angeles for John Kerry.

At the event, Barbra Streisand sang a revised rendition of her trademark "People" tune, during which Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was called "the spookiest person in the world." By his presence and lack of objection, John Kerry tacitly agreed.

At a similar event in New York, Whoopi Goldberg held up a bottle of wine and juvenilely joked about the president's surname.

Others on stage, which included a whole host of the Hollywood misinformed and uninformed, called the president a liar, a thug and a killer.

Far from being offended, Kerry thanked all of the performers at the Radio City Music Hall event for "an extraordinary evening," adding that "every performer tonight ... conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country."

For his part, John Edwards boasted that it was "a great honor" to sit through what many are calling an X-rated show. The would-be vice president claimed, "This campaign will be a celebration of real American values."

In one of his characteristic flip-flops, Kerry the next day told the Associated Press that some of the performers "in our judgment, went over a line that neither of us would choose to go over. But we understand their anger."

The Left Coast Report applauds Bush campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt, who pointed out that Kerry didn't have time to receive his intelligence briefing on terrorism, but somehow "found time to attend a Hollywood fund-raiser filled with enough hate and vitriol to make Michael Moore blush."

Marriage Debate is Far From Over

    Falwell Confidential

    Date: July 15, 2004
    From: Jerry Falwell

MARRIAGE DEBATE IS FAR FROM OVER

On Tuesday, a majority of Senate members voted against the proposed Federal
Marriage Amendment (FMA) to the U.S. Constitution, the amendment that would
prevent activist judges from redefining marriage, long recognized by civil
societies as an act between one man and one woman. The Republican
leadership could gain only 48 votes (48-50) on a motion to invoke cloture,
12 short of the 60 votes needed.

Here's the important news on this vote: the issue is far from over!

In the days leading up to this vote, we saw multitudes of concerned
Americans rise up and take to their phones and computers in order to urge
their senators to vote in favor of the FMA. Despite this deluge of calls
and e-mails favoring the legislation, 50 senators turned their backs on
their constituencies. But I can guarantee that they have been taken aback
by the grassroots uprising that literally tied up Capitol Hill switchboards
and filled their staffers' computers with pleas to support the FMA.

We must ensure that we maintain our focus and energy on this issue. Most
importantly, I believe we will ultimately prevail.

I want to express my deep appreciation to my friends and supporters who
participated in this grassroots effort. You will be needed again. In
addition, I want to recognize the thousands of pastors who boldly stood in
their pulpits on Protect Marriage Sunday (last Sunday) to urge their members
to join in the effort to protect marriage. From small flocks to mega-church
congregations, I can tell you that we propelled a lightning bolt of activism
    through Washington this week.

It won't be the last one, either.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, (R-Tenn.) made the most pertinent
observation after Tuesday's vote. His admonition should be etched in the
hearts of every American who understands the importance of the battle to
    protect the American family.

Mr. Frist said, "The question is no longer whether the Constitution will be
amended. The only question is who will amend it and how it will be amended.
Will activist judges - not elected by the American people - destroy the
institution of marriage? Or will the people protect marriage as the best
way to raise children? My vote is with the people and, thus, as majority
leader, I felt and continue to feel that it's important that the debate go
on the floor of the United States Senate, which does represent the American
people. Americans understand that children need mothers and fathers. We'd
be foolish to permit a vast, untested social experiment on families and
children - the bedrock of our society."

Those are serious words. As we continue to work to preserve the sanctity of
marriage, we must remember that there is a vast minority of powerful people
in our nation who want to demolish our moral foundations. They hide behind
pretty words and innocent-sounding phrases, but they are pressing to create
an America our Founders would not recognize. They believe there are no
moral absolutes that should define society.

Here is the fact of the matter: if we do not continue to press for a
constitutional amendment to protect marriage as an act between one man and
one woman, there is literally no telling what the future holds. We will be
a nation destroyed by our immoral sexual pursuits that we allowed to sway
our political and social policies. That's a recipe for rapid destruction.

I am committed to continuing the fight to preserve the biblical blueprint
for marriage and I am praying that the revolution that was initiated this
week was just an opening salvo as moral-minded Americans continue to press
forward in the imperative battle to safeguard marriage in America.

Finally, a list of our 100 senators and how they voted on the FMA is printed
below. I am asking readers to do either one of the following things during
the next 48 hours regarding these senators' votes:

    1. If your senator/senators voted for ("yea") the Federal Marriage
Amendment, please call him/her to thank them for supporting the sanctity of
    marriage.

    2. If your senators/senators voted against ("nay") the FMA, please call
him/her to considerately express your disappointment that they voted against
    the sanctity of marriage.

The Capitol Switchboard number is: 202-224-3121. Or you can visit Gary
Bauer's Campaign for Working Families website ( http://www.cwfpac.com ) and
click on Congressional Directory to find the direct numbers and e-mail
addresses for your senators. I again urge pastors to have their
    congregations participate in this effort.

    Medved on Kerry and F911

Very good points. Kerry seems to say very little BESIDES, 'Bush is bad, I'd do the opposite of everything he does.' And, he seems to love to blame the President for everything under the sun, claiming that Bush is running from his responsibility when it comes to various issues- yet, Kerry never seems to take responsibility when he supported the same things the President did (like the war in Iraq.)
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
    Charges Worth Disowning
    —Michael Medved

In a startling dodge, John Kerry told Larry King that he hadn't seen the Bush-bashing epic, "Fahrenheit 9/11" and that he has no intention of watching it in the future. The senator claimed he didn't need to see the film because, he said, "I've lived it for the last four years." If this means he endorses scurrilous charges made by Michael Moore, shouldn't he at least view the film before vouching for its veracity?

Kerry's disinterest in a movie that has dominated national debate for several weeks is just another attempt to avoid taking a clear-cut position: either disowning, or supporting allegations that Bush has been bought by Saudi money and doesn't care about the security of his country.

John Kerry can either be a voice for mainstream Democrats, or for fringy conspiracy theorists led by Michael Moore. The choice is up to him, and the credibility of his candidacy depends on it.

    The Oh So "Tolerant" Libs

I love how the bleeding hearts claim to be so tolerant, yet it's okay for them to bash the Bible, and people who have faith as being total morons who follow blindly after an invisible force that "doesn't exist" in their mind. They can also demand that the world make changes to age-old institutions (like marriage and the family) to fit their radical agenda...and if you complain about it- get ready, because you're a "bigoted" "homophobe" who refuses to be "tolerant" of other "alternative" (alternative to normal) lifestyles. It's okay for them to look down upon people who don't follow their "progressive" (what's so 'progressive' about it, no one knows) as being backward and behind-the-times.

It's all rather funny to me.

"Civil Rights" Groups Called TV Ratings Racist

LOL. I just saw a CNN story on black and hispanic groups protesting against the new nielsen people meters, claiming it's racist. First off- when a cry of racism comes about, you have to be very cautious and skeptical, since racism against minorities is a rare thing in 2004 America. On the other hand, racism against whites- (Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson come to mind) is a common thing in the media, and this should be obvious since outrageous men like Sharpton can actually be taken seriously and take part in presidential primary debates! Secondly, how an electronic device that is sent out to homes to get ratings data could possibly be racist is just beyond me. The CNN story didn't make much sense, in that they didn't really ever explain why these groups claim the system is racist...tho, they did talk to Al Sharpton (he was in one of the protest lines- shocking that a phony like Sharpton would make sure he was on TV, getting his camera-time to cry racism once again- gasp!) seemed to be saying that the new devices are too complex for minorities to use- this claim wouldn't be too shocking, since many groups spend their entire budgets on demanding unfair affirmative action programs in schools and businesses- a system that basically tells black Americans that they're too stupid to compete on a level playing field with others, so they MUST be given extra points simply for being black.

I'm going to look into this further to see why these groups are claiming racism, and why Al Sharpton is claiming that this will cause the "whitenization" of TV (I'm fairly certain he made that word up, by the way.)

In the end- this shouldn't be a serious issues, since ratings data is nonsense as it is. You cannot have a few million nielsen households and make those numbers cover the hundred+ million TV viewers in the nation. Ratings are nowhere near a real picture of who watches what and how long and at what time...I remember when I was a kid, we got Nielsen stuff in the mail, and I used to fill out the diary they give you- thing is, they used to send small amounts of cash with the diaries, which means- you could fill anything out just to get it over with and to keep getting a few dollars here and there for doing nothing. So, not only do the small numbers not cover the entire viewing public, but many of the people that take part in it have to be just putting down nonsense, and there's no way to know who is being honest and who isn't- who is actually watching the shows and paying attention, or who has it on as background noise...who is actually in the room watching the show, and who is on the other room baking a cake.

UPDATE:More on this story- seems some people love to play the race card, even with silly issues like tv ratings.
    http://www.everyonecounts.tv/press/0625_latimes.htm
    http://www.everyonecounts.tv/press/0707_medialife.htm
Both pieces from Nielsen- but from other stories, and the raw data, it seems that this is all nonsense, and mainly a move by Fox and a few other networks because of sagging ratings with the new system in place that is more accurate.

    UPDATE 2:
A great point I didn't even think of...Al Sharpton's comment about how this would lead to the "whitenizing" of TV is insane, of course, but- as this person points it, if a white person said that something would be bad because it would lead to the "blackenizing" of TV there would be an outcry across the nation from so-called civil rights leaders. This, of course, bolsters my case that racism in America in 2004 is a non-issue for minorities and more of an issue for whites. Race shouldn't be an important thing...we should all be Americans, we should all be people. I'm tired of the race card being played AT ALL, and it's about time Americans unite without regard to skin color.

    Joe Wilson's Honesty Gap

You've all surely heard of the deal with Joe Wilson- who claimed that the President misled the American public by claiming that British intel showed that Saddam was trying to buy uranium from Niger, a claim the MI6 STILL sticks by as being accurate...and now, a claim that has been bolstered by the Senate's CIA report, thanks to JOE WILSON'S OWN information gathered on a trip to Niger. Wilson still says the President is a liar, and is now working for the Kerry campaign (on his site, he writes "I'm not a politician and I'm not a political partisan." Wait...you're not a partisan, but you're working for the Kerry campaign and calling Bush a liar for announcing intel that YOU supplied the CIA? That's just the funniest thing I've heard all day. "I hate republicans, but I'm not partisan- I swear!)

Wilson was also confronted with a memo from his wife, who was outed by columnist Robert Novak as a CIA employee- Wilson likes to claim his wife is a spy, but it seems that she's just a pencil pusher...as Ann Coulter points out in her latest column- Wilson's wife, who he claims was outed by the white house to get back at him (to get back at him for intel that has been proven accurate thanks to him? not very likely!), guess what she does? She works in the office that provides intel on weapons of mass destruction! It turns out that, from that memo I mentioned, and other information, it was Wilson's wife who mentioned his name as the man who should go to Niger to do the "investigation."

This story is great...it's even better since Wilson's own site is called (restorehonesty.com- you'll also notice the text at the bottom of the site that reads "Paid for by John Kerry for President, Inc.
"), yet it seems that Joe Wilson is complete void of honest himself. The president lied (tho his own info. says the opposite), Iraq wasn't trying to get uranium (tho his own report says the opposite), his wife was never involved with any of this, and she never brought his name up for the person to go to Niger (the memo from his wife proves him a liar), and all of this is just a ploy by the vast right wing conspiracy and that damned Karl Rove to destroy him. It would be the funniest thing if it wasn't such a serious issue.

Let me be the one to say it- Joe Wilson is a liar, and people who lie and put our national security at risk are scumbags.

    "Fatherhood" on Nick at Nite

Anyone see that new Nick at Nite series, Fatherhood from Bill Cosby? (It's based on his book, and the basis for the show is the book, tho he's not in it.) It comes on Tuesday nights, and I think they've aired 4 episodes so far. Really good show, so I wrote a small review on it.

    Fatherhood on Nick at Nite

I think Fatherhood is a very charming show, the Bindlebeeps are a nice family with strong values, and each story has a lesson attached to it- the importance of not lying and not to be judgemental are the two I have seen so far (I think there is at least one more I missed.) It's not given to you in a preaching manner either, and ultimately- it's a show for entertaining, not for teaching that lesson...the lesson is sort of a bonus that the family learns together.

The animation is pretty slick- it looks like it's computer animated, there are some really cool sweeping moves across the town they live in, the colors are very bright and crisp, and the characters all have unique and interesting designs. The animation itself lends itself very well to the grown up category the show is trying to fit it, tho I think the entire family could watch this show and enjoy it.

The actors do a nice job with the voices--Blair Underwoods deep, calm voice lends well to his character, it just feels warm when he says the things he says- like these people are living in a safe world that's all nice and comfy. The woman who played the oldest daughter on the Cosby Show (I forget her name- tho, she's also on the PBS series, Smart Gardening) does the voice of the mother, who works in a book store or a library from what I can gather from seeing the two episodes I've seen. The other voices are done really well also- the one daughter is voiced by one of the girl's from Bick's All That, no idea who does the son's voice (tho it's all listed on the previous page, of course.)

Not only are the voices spot on- but the sound design to the show is interesting too...very well done with the effects track that add just that much more depth to the series.

A series the entire family could watch, or just a 25 yr old guy like me- I find the show to be really heartwarming, the animation is gorgeous, and the storylines are fun and completely endearing. Let's hope this stays around for a good while- it's definitely good television.

    Moveon's Hateful Rhetoric

Btw- moveon, the radical leftist group, says that by opposing gay marriage and trying to demand the courts NOT legislate from the bench, he is "using the politics of hate" and that a ban on gay marriage is taking away rights. Again, for the slow ones- you cannot take away rights that do not, and never have, existed. It's an obvious distortion by moveon to push their liberal agenda on the country. Also- as I mention elsewhere...gays have equal rights to marry. Marry one person of the opposite sex. Gays need to admit it- they don't want equal rights, they want special rights.

Don't buy into the rhetoric...this is not about civil rights or equal rights- it's for special rights that are not afforded any American, nor were they ever intended, not in the US, not in any country since marriage was created thousands of years ago. No tiny group can change the very deifinition of a sacred institution that is the basis for our society. That's not the "fairness" these groups speak of. That's unfair- it's like a slap in the face to all Americans.

The Left's Lies about the Gay Marriage Debate

The left is claiming that those against gay marriage are pandering in an election year. That's absurd, since polls show that most Americans oppose gay marriage. The left is saying it MUST be pandering because of the timing of the Amendment proposal banning gay marriage. They're clearly dishonest with this assertion, since they neglect to mention the key reason of the timing- the courts have gone past their boundaries in doing the job of the legislature by trying to rewrite the laws and push the liberal agenda upon the American people who refuse to accept it. Of course the time for a ban on gay marriage is now- the courts have acted and allowed gay marriage in Massachusetts, and others are threatening to do the same thing in other parts of the country...the judicial who seems to want to overstep their duties have chosen this time period, not the president, not congress, not Americans across the country who support such a ban. Fact is- the left is pandering with this issue by leaving out half of the information regarding the entire debate...which is, a semi-subtle form of lying. Yes, LYING. When you mention an issue to someone, but you leave half of it out, you're being dishonest, and Americans won't play that game with you.

In another issue- I simply LOVE people who use the word "progressive" to describe their beliefs or their political leanings. It's downright offensive language. "Progressive" you say??

Let's take a look at a "progressive" ideology.

    Yes to gay marriage

Yes to homosexuality in our public schools

Yes to teaching kids about vulgar sex acts in school

No to telling parents when a 12 yr old girl wants an
    abortion

    Yes to abortion in general

No to protecting the lives of unborn children

No to God, especially ANYWHERE in public life

No to that silly, outdated idea of morals

No to concepts like right and wrong

No to religious people- those darned hillbillies

Yes to affirmative action which says to minorities-

"you're too stupid to compete without our help"

No to fairness that allows jobs and school admissions go
to the best qualified REGARDLESS of race or gender.

What's so "progressive" about these various points? What does it mean to these people if you're "conservative"? Does it mean that you're an ignorant fool who is stuck in the past where things with ideas that are all wrong and outdated?

    Progressive- it's just plain funny.

Racist NAACP Attacks Bush for not Attending Their Racist Party

The shameful NAACP. That racist group is calling for all blacks (yes, they're obsessed with race) to oust President Bush from office, because he has refused to attend their conventions for the past 3 years.

As mentioned before, the NAACP is, in reality, a democratic organization, whose goal is to push a liberal agenda and divide the nation by race. This is, of course, illegal, since it's a non-profit organization that is supposed to be non-partisan, but for fear of being called racists, no agency clamps down on this group's illegal activities. The NAACP is a tax exempt organization, and by US law, they must not involve themself in partisan politics or be affiliated with a political party. When you call for all blacks to vote out a sitting president who you have called a racist on numerous occasions, that is clearly partisan.

Let's pretend I said the following: "You're a racist scumbag who stole an election." After I made such a statement, would you attend the annual meeting of my group? Of course you wouldn't. Despite this obvious answer, many blacks at the NAACP convention attacked Bush, claiming he didn't care about blacks (I wasn't aware that all blacks were tied to the NAACP, as these clueless folks think), and that they would never vote for him for not coming to meet with the group. Use your brains, kids- you should respect a man who stands up to racist bullies like that. Then again, you're attending a convention by an illegal racist group- so that says a lot about your mental state to begin with...I really wouldn't expect any of you to understand such complex issues as common sense and reason. I mean, get real- would a black person attend a meeting of the KKK? Why should a white man who is called a racist, a facist, a bigot, etc. by your group attend the group's annual convention? You don a white hood and join a klan meeting, then Mr. Bush will accept your invite. Should the President accept an invite from the KKK- the other side of the racist spectrum? Would any of you fools be attacking him if he declined a meeting with the grand wizard?! This is absurd!

I, for one, will find out how to file a complaint against the group to make sure their tax exempt status is revoked. There have been numerous complaints about this issue before, but the more people that complain- the better...

Only 9% of black voters who went to the polls in 2000 voted for George Bush. This shows the extremely serious problem in the black community as a whole...the group think that leads so many blacks to think that democrats are the ones who care about "black issues" (whatever that means- as if blacks have different issues than anyone else), and the message of truth needs to get out to more of these people. That much is obvious. Democratic groups like the NAACP that are constantly spewing their racist rhetoric are doing nothing but hurting the goal of ultimate racial harmony. Democrats like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are hurting the fate of black America even more than the NAACP...the Congressional Black Caucus is in the same category. Why, after seeing the racism from these DEMOCRATIC groups, do Republicans still get painted with the racism brush by so many? Are people denying the truth, or are they truly ignorant of it? No matter what the reason- something needs to be done.

[More on the NAACP's political nature]

    No Sleep and Drums

So I'm at work. I didn't get home until 10 after midnight last night...then I didn't go to sleep until about 3AM. I was trying to record some of the stuff on the DVR to tape, so I wouldn't lose any of the saved stuff- since I have a lot of stuff saved on there, it's running out of space. So, I watched/recorded 2 episodes of the Nicktoons show, Corneil and Bernie and half of the Jimmy Neutron movie Win, Lose, Kaboom that I mentioned before. I finally fell asleep, and I woke up at 6 AM so I could get here by 6:45 or close to it...I went to Hardees to get breakfast and I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes, because they were SO slow...only to realize that the orange juice they have is just the one size plastic container- not very big, and that's what I really wanted was a big orange juice- should have gone to McDonalds.

Anyhow, I get off at 2:30 and tonight is Drums on the Ohio which starts at 6:30 according to the website. The weather channel's website says a 30% chance of isolated t-storms all day, tho there hasn't been any rain at all yet...and I don't think it's very cloudy out there- tho, I haven't looked out the window lately. Hope it doesn't rain at all tonight...I noticed it said the temp. would be in the mid 80's and lower 80's from 6PM on, getting cooler as it gets later, of course...plus, it says there should be wind, which is nice, because I don't want to wear shorts, but I also don't want to burn up.

I'm going with my dad tonight, as I always have, and I will probably go a bit early, so we can get decent seats- tho, it'll just be general admission which is what we always get. The closer to the 50 yard line, and the higher up is the best- especially as the night goes on, it's nice to sit at the top where you can stand and not block the view of anyone behind you, and you can sit on the railing if you want. I need to check the Blue Devils website to see what CD's/DVD's they sell, to see if I want to buy anything tonight.

Well, I guess I will be shutting up now. I started reading the book, Hot Six...it's a bit strange so far- the Plum character and all...I'm not sure if I want to read a mystery that has so much talk about sex and how this and that guy makes her hot. We'll see if it's any good overall tho...

John Kerry- the Flop Flopper is at it Again

John Kerry is suddenly changing his tune. He has come out and made a statement that the performers Thursday night (who said some pretty outrageous things) are their own opinions and not his...and he doesn't share the opinions.

Funny thing is- at the end of the event the other night, Kerry went on stage and said that every performer there tonight shared the views of the entire country, and that he agreed with every performer there that night...some of those values these millionaire celebrities, far out of touch with reality? Mellencamp- you might remember him, he USED to have a music career, tho he was never any good if you ask me- called the president a thug who basically has the soldier's blood on his hands (I'd wager money he never said any such thing about Clinton who sent the military everywhere on the globe), Chevy Chase- we all remember this guy, and we all know he hasn't had a career in about 15 years, attacked the president...no telling what he said exactly since the Kerry campaign nor Radio City Music Hall will allow any of the footage of the event to get out, Whoopi- once again, a former celeb, who basically has no career anymore, used the president's last name in a manner to talk about certain female body parts- doing her best to show her class with vulgar jokes about the current president, tho I remember her praising the former president, a man who would surely get along much better with a joke about 'bush.'

Attacking the president, calling him a thug, vulgar jokes, saying that the war in Iraq was a political move, the poor US soldiers are being killed because of that evil Mr. Bush- these are the values of America according to John Kerry. Wait, I take that back, I DID mention that Mr. Flip-Flop King did indeed make a statement saying he didn't agree with all of the performers...maybe that means Kerry's values are constantly changing, or are they non existant? I'm not quite sure. One thing is for sure- Kerry endorsed the hate that came out of that event, and as a public official, he should be reprimanded. The man should learn to have respect for the office of the president itself...even if he disagrees (if you figure out Kerry's constantly changing position) with the policies.

The celebs that took part in the event...well, they're just jokes. Most of these people have careers that were left back in the 80's- so, let them be bitter in their mansions worth tens of millions, with their body guards, and their limos, and their gated drive ways, and their million dollar shopping sprees...we all know that these people are so out of touch with most of America, and the real world itself, that they can't be totally blamed for the stupidity that is constantly spewing from their mouths. I mean, come on, maid service and butlers put a lot of stress on a person.

I just ordered these two movies on E-Bay. Great movies which everyone should check out. I actually like Dead Man on Campus better, I think.

I want to order the 2 disc DVD set of the horror/gore movie, Last House on Dead End Street (1977), but I think I'll wait on that.

    Jacoby: Edward's Glaring Weakness

    EDWARDS'S GLARING WEAKNESS
    By Jeff Jacoby
    The Boston Globe

    Thursday, July 8, 2004

John Kerry's choice of John Edwards as his running mate was predictable, as was the chorus of acclaim that rose from Democratic throats. But predictable too was the Republican derision of Edwards as inexperienced, weak on defense, and a pet of the contingency-fee bar:

    * "In the Senate four years -- that is the full extent of [his] public life. No international experience, no military experience."

    * "The American people want an experienced hand . . . . This is not the time for on-the-job training in the White House on national security issues."

    * "If his intent is to remove special interests from Washington, why has he . . . taken more than $11 million from lawyers and law firms?"

No, wait -- those criticisms didn't come from Republicans. They came from John Kerry (or his campaign spokesmen), sometimes repeatedly: The observation that a wartime White House is no place "for on-the-job training" was a particular Kerry favorite. If that was a valid critique of Edwards in the winter and spring, surely it remains a valid critique in the summer and fall.

Of course, the animadversions ran in both directions. Edwards hit Kerry on trade, on his ties to Washington lobbyists, and on health care, but particularly noteworthy were his pointed disagreements with Kerry on national security issues.

Thus, while both men voted in favor of authorizing the president to invade Iraq, Edwards -- unlike Kerry -- never tried to wriggle away from his vote by claiming he hadn't really meant to empower Bush to go to war. Nor did he complain that he had been "misled" by the Bush administration.

"The first thing I should say is I take responsibility for my vote -- period," Edwards averred during the primary campaign. "And I did what I did based upon a belief that Saddam Hussein's potential for getting nuclear capability was what created the threat. That was always the focus of my concern. . . . So did I get misled? No. I didn't get misled."

Moreover, while the Democratic standard-bearer explicitly disavows the promotion of democracy as a top priority in Iraq and the Muslim world, his running mate embraces it.

In January, Edwards proposed a global strategy to promote democracy by establishing a "Freedom List" of imprisoned dissidents, creating institutions to nurture democracy, and cutting aid to nondemocratic regimes. "America will never defeat violent terror," he said, "so long as hundreds of millions of people in the Muslim world and elsewhere are denied the right to express themselves peacefully, openly, and democratically."

So what exactly does the Democratic ticket stand for on Iraq and the broader war against terrorism? Kerry's realpolitik and Chirac-like insistence on American deference to the UN -- or Edwards's Bush-like belief that democratizing the Muslim Middle East is the key to vanquishing terrorism?

Much is being made of Edwards's un-Kerry-like strengths -- he is a gifted communicator, he is likable and upbeat, he speaks Southern, he has charisma, he appeals to women. But not even the blindest Democratic partisan is hailing Edwards for his strong national security profile, for the obvious reason that he doesn't have one. His résumé boasts no foreign policy credentials. His much-lauded "Two Americas" stump speech said nothing about the war on terrorism. For that matter, neither did Kerry's speech announcing Edwards as his choice for VP. It contained only a single throwaway reference to "bioterrorism," and didn't so much as mention the words "war" or "iraq."

What Kerry's speech *did* say was that economic inequality, that tired left-wing cliche, is the fundamental issue in his campaign for the White House. "John talked about the great divide in America . . . between those who are doing very well and those who are struggling to make ends meet," Kerry said. "That concern is at the center of this campaign. It is what it is all about."

Can Kerry really mean that? His presidential campaign is "all about" class warfare? He is going to become president by campaigning on a "Two Americas" theme that Edwards rode to victory in precisely one primary?

Well, in politics anything is possible. But I cannot imagine that the 2004 election will not turn on one issue above all: the war. In Sept. 11 and its aftermath, America faces its most urgent national security challenge in a generation. This is not 1992. "It's the economy, stupid" won't win the election. Even more than 1968 was a referendum on Vietnam, even more than 1952 was a referendum on Korea, 2004 is a referendum on Iraq and the deadly conflict with radical Islam.

As a candidate Edwards has undeniable strengths; in many ways he improves the Democratic ticket. In fact, there is really only one area in which Kerry's new running mate is glaringly weak. It just happens to be the area that matters most.

(Jeff Jacoby is a syndicated columnist for The Boston Globe.)

    Is It In You?

    IS IT IN YOU?
    Scott Leonard
    Rockapella

Girl it's so easy on nights like this
to become intoxicated on temporary bliss
Wooed by the twilit luxury of the evening air, the words we share
But I'm thinkin way beyond tonight, way beyond this view
I can feel forever laughin in you; girl my life's on the line, are you in?

What are the odds that you could possibly feel
this kind of once-in-my-life, this kind of change in your lifes direction
The odds a smiling angel like you could ever open her heart,
could ever show me the love I feel
Are your eyes the truth--the windows, or just mirrors of my own?
Is It In You, Is It In You, Is It In You to let me know?

    Throughout the pages of history,
lie the tales of perfect romance turned to misery
Under the weight of a strained cliché, with its candlelight, star-filled nights,
But I'm lookin way beyond tonight, past this purple sky
Anyone can wish it, we can make it real
Are you ready or not, let me know

What are the odds that you could possibly feel
this kind of once-in-my-life, this kind of change in your lifes direction
The odds a smiling angel like you could ever open her heart,
could ever show me the love I feel
Are your eyes the truth--the windows, or just mirrors of my own?
Is It In You, Is It In You, Is It In You to let me know?

What's stoppin you from dancin; even if it's someone else?
Don't get too many chances; we've only so many sunsets

What are the odds that you could possibly feel
this kind of once-in-my-life, this kind of change in your life's direction
The odds an angel like you could ever open her heart,

    A Racism Double Standard

Another oddity that just defies reason. Yhere is a magazine called Black Men. Honestly now, if there was a magazine called White Men- there would be an uproar, and all the bleeding hearts would call it racism...Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would hold press conferences about it, the congressional black caucus would call for legislation condemning such acts, the NY Times would call it the most vile piece of garbage since Mein Kampf.

Tell me the blatant double standard isn't sad.

Clueless TV Suits Screw up Schmo

This is what bugs me about TV executives. They promoted the most recent episode of Joe Schmo 2 on Spike tv as a special 90 min. episode complete with a cameo by Matt Kennedy Gould- the schmo from season 1. But, it turns out, they only have a regular 60 min episode, and the creator of the show explains the reasoning on the spike tv website (the joe schmo blog), saying that they changed it for fears that the ratings would drop for the last half hour, because it was past midnight on the east coast. That's absurd. It also shows you the insane mind set of tv execs.

"Okay, guys...we're gonna promote the next episode as a special 90 min show, and we're gonna bring in Matt from season 1! Wait...let's change that, let's cut a half hour from the show, and remove Matt's appearance. Trust me- we'll lose viewers for the last half hour...I mean, of course, if someone watches the first hour of a show, they're definitely going to cut out and miss the final half hour of the show and miss the ending, simply becaue it will be past midnight on the east coast! And, the loyal viewers will be happy that we cut out Matt and an entire half hour from the show, and they will thank us, because we'll cut the last half hour, then we'll show an old episode of wildest police videos (which they actually showed after JS) that has been shown at least ten thousand times. Genius ideas, guys! Let's hop into our BMW's and go home"

That is the logic, or lack of logic, going thru the heads of television executives. Piss off the loyal fans by cutting stuff, in order to help the ratings for the last half hour? Does it make sense that people would watch a 90 min show, only to miss the final half hour, simply because it airs after midnight on the east coast?! Do any of you watch a show for an hour and then miss the final 30 mins? I don't make a practice of it, myself, and I'm sure no one else does either.

It might not seem like a big deal to some...and, in the scope of all things, it isn't, but it's highly annoying and very frustrating that tv execs cannot get a clue. They base their decisions on reasons that defy common sense, and moves like this will only work to draw viewers away from the show and the network! Put me in charge of a network, and this stuff won't happen...

    Beef Map, Basket Burgers, Fryers

The wonderful, educational, always handy- beef map.
    beef map

I want a home fryer. Alton had a cool one that had the digital readout on the back, with the heating element inside (a real fryer), a vented lid, large capacity, a basket with a hook to let it drain, all encased in a metal holder that will stay cool even during long fry periods. I want one! That way I could cook home made corn dogs, onion rings, fries, funnel cake! (as mentioned before), and other nifty stuff.

I also want a griddle with a back splash guard- that was something I've never seen before.

All of this was on the man food show episode, where he made home made corn dogs and basket burgers. Pretty funny. because AB was acting like it was a show just for guys so he could show the guys how to make wonderful breakfast in bed for their ladies- telling the ladies to leave the room, as to not spoil the surprise...then, he'd ask- are they gone? and he'd be all macho-like. You had to see it. It was funny, trust me.

I was going to make a meatloaf tomorrow, but I think I want to make basket burgers instead. We do have a griddle (no back splash guard, darn it), and ground chuck isn't like an expensive item or anything...and he uses those little potato buns. Nifty.

I'm off to watch Blind Date I have taped.

Hamburgers, Ice Cream, and Michael Moore Again

    Tidbits:

The hamburger bun was invented by the founder of White Castle.

Yet another article exposing the liar Michael Moore is.
    http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=4333

In the US, by law, any product called ice cream of any sort has to contain at least 10% milk fat.

Vanilla ice cream outsells chocolate 3 to 1.

The nifty facts you learn from Good Eats. Ahhh.

    Kerry Distorts Reality

I just watched John Kerry (on c span) complain that President Bush is basically defying the Constitution by brining religion into his public policy matters at all, because the founding fathers drew a line that seperated the two. First off, they did no such thing...Jefferson's comments were taken out of context by some activist judges on the supreme court years ago, which helped create this fictional division. Even if you interpreted it wrong and thought there was supposed to be a divide there- no reasonable person can say that the president would fall under any such divide, since the clause speaks only of Congress. Secondly- why is this something to attack? Most Americans identify themselves as Christians, so you're basically telling them he's wrong for believing what they believe and using it in his daily life! He had to add on that he was, indeed, a spiritual man himself- yes, a spiritual man who breaks a very big rule of the church when he supports abortion!

Then, he claimed that John Ashcroft is trampling on all Americans civil rights. Can just ONE person here tell me of a time when your rights or the rights of anyone you know have been trampled on? I doubt anyone can give me one example. Which leads me to wonder...I forget here, but didn't Kerry vote in support of the patriot act?! What- is he going to sa he didn't realize what it actually said? He used this argument before when he committed war crimes and treason during vietnam and claimed he wasn't sure who the geneva convention covered and what it said you could and could not do.

Then, he went on to talk about government spending, blaming Bush for all spending and all deficits...funny, since I would think that Congress should take most of the blame, since they're the ones that actually do the spending! You have to sit and laugh when you hear John Kerry attack heavy spending and remember he and his buddy Ted Kennedy have looted the govt of billions with the big dig disaster!

Too bad there was a large gathering listening to him, applauding his every inaccurate statement.

I just have to ask myself- how can someone so corrupt, so full of himself (look, I'm John Kerry with my down home shirt on...with my sleeves rolled up, I'm a man of the people!). so full of crap, so hateful, etc. sleep at night? It's people like John Kerry that make so many of us despise politicians in general.

    Trust (TV Review)

Below is my review for the British series TRUST, which also aired on BBC America recently.
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I have watched all 6 episodes of the series on BBC America. I loved the show, myself. It's so very well shot, the DP did a perfect job showing the corporate offices, the outside meetings within various parts of London, wide shots of the city- seeing all the new stuff being built, getting the quick traffic effects with the fast moving camera- all of this together with the wonderful score, it makes for great television. It's very slick, and I'm sure that's what most people notice right off the top.

The acting is actually very good. Robson Green, who plays the main character, is one of the best actors I have seen in any british series. He's been great in everything I've seen him in, and he has that look of a man with confidence, which lends very well to the character he plays. The other actors do a very nice job as well- all getting their characters down wonderfully. From Annie the obsessed-to-get-ahead in a 'man's' business...pushing her husband further and further away with this obsession, to Greg who plays the laid back gay guy character so well. The show might be worth it just to watch the actress who plays Serene do her scenes...she's drop dead gorgeous, and who couldn't love a woman who makes so many cute faces. All together- the acting is spot on.

The storylines all deal with corporate law- not the most exciting topic in the world, but the writers make it work by adding drama to nearly each deal...and the confidence that these lawyers have when dealing with clients, and how they show their expertise in the field is awe inspiring. There's always some comedy thrown about here and there, but it's not a comedy series, so it's not laugh out loud funny or anything like that. The plotlines are always interesting in that you get to see how they make the deals and how they broker deals with clients who sometimes can't seem to see eye to eye. Some of the stuff in a cpl of the episodes if actually somewhat complex, especially the story about the oil company deal and the drama going on behind the scenes with some of the players. It's all kept together in a nice coherent package tho, and that's a definite plus.

I was sad to see that they only made 6 episodes of this show. I would have caught every episode had it gone on for longer...great characters, great acting, and the stories were just plain fun to watch. Slick, stylish TV- this is what it's all about in my eyes.

John Kerry NOT a Hero for "Serving" Country in Vietnam

I mentioned in a comment to another journal that I don't think John Kerry is in any way a hero for his military service. Anytime I hear any of the conservative pundits mention Kerry's war record, they almost always add something about how he's a hero for serving his country...but, I wonder why, because the man admitted to killing innocent men, women, and children in Vietnam. How that makes him a hero at all just boggles my mind. That's like saying that soldiers of Hitler's nazi regime were heroic for serving their countries, because they were just following orders, as some would say of Kerry- he was just following orders...tho, the military code says- if an order is illegal, you can defy that order, and that is actually what you're supposed to do. Kerry clearly knew what he was doing was illegal, because he built his entire career on his short 4 months in Vietnam. That means, as I said before in another entry, Kerry is, by definition, a war criminal and should be disallowed from serving in any capacity in the United States (according to the Constitution.) There are actually petitions out there to get Kerry banned from public service, which is only right- mainly for his meeting with North Vietnamese forces while still a member of the US military (treason,) but his war crimes also make it illegal for him to serve in public office in this country.

The bottom line is- Kerry is not a hero for his admittedly illegal actions in Vietnam, and because of these actions, he is not only unfit for the office of the presidency, but also from any other public office in the land.

    Lawyers to Defend Hussein...Insane?

I think it's fairly obvious that anyone who would want to defend Saddam Hussein (in court) is insane and most likely a sympathizer of his murdererous regime. A new member of the legal team that will "defend" Hussein is the daughter of Libya's terrorist dictator, Qadaffi. The US just reestablished ties with the terrorist regime, due to Qadaffi's announcement that he will get rid of all WMD and not try to build any in the future.

This is all totally ridiculous, since the man is a known terrorist and should be removed just like Saddam himself was removed. One terrorist state is one too many, and in time- the US, along with allies who actually care about global security (ie. NOT france, germany, russia, and others), need to go into evey rogue nation and free the populations that have been held captive for years, and in some cases- many many decades. Preemption, no matter what any peace hippy spouts off with, is a good idea, and it works. It WILL work in the future, and if reason prevails, it will be put into effect time and time again, until every nation on earth is free. With freedom comes peace, and peace is not an option...it's the only option.
