Are Kerry's Discredited Attacks Hurting His Chances?

I love it. In the last week of the campaign...John Kerry, clueless as ever, jumps on a bogus NY Times/CBS story (Bogus CBS story? No way!), and starts attacking the American military as incompetent (his words masked what he really meant...he attempts to blame the president for imaginary explosives, yet he's ultimately attacking the soldiers on the ground who DID the searches themselves. John Kerry attacking the military? No way! Maybe this time, he'll pronounce Ghengis properly.

Because of this bogus story and the attack on our beloved military, plus Kerry's refusal to apologize for using the already discredited story, many pundits think this will really hurt him. The numbers, as I have read them, seem to be trending that way...and it has to be related to this in my opinion. You can't attack the military with a bogus story a week before election day and think you're going to get away with it and come out totally unharmed by your comments that are complete stupidity at best.

Bush leads or is tied with Kerry in every current national head to head poll, and many of the swing states are leaning Bush. Most projection sites have the electoral count going to Bush...and many out there have said that when voters get into the booth, many of them who would vote for Kerry might vote Bush because of this new bogus reporting. We have seen that the voters who have voted already are going more for Bush and the overseas military votes will be a large margin for Bush...also, it seems from the current numbers that those voters who were considered undecided are leaning toward Bush, and many who have voted early have voted for him already. Good news for the President.

It is still scary tho that so many Americans are clueless to the point where a man like John Kerry will say anything to get elected...he'll shamelessly attack the military's efforts in Iraq, he'll attack the president with bogus stories, I'm not sure there's anything Mr. Kerry WOULDN'T do to get elected. That itself is a frightening thought, and the fact that millions of Americans support this guy is even scarier.
