Alba, Joe, Books

I just noticed I have around 15 or so episodes of THE DISTRICT that started airing on USA on my DVR...it says space unavailable when I try to record anything.

I was watching this Jessica Alba movie earlier called Paranoid- very weird, very dull overall...didn't watch the end, since the DVR thought it was recording two things all of a sudden (don't ask me why) and switched off the channel and wouldn't go back...

I buzzed my hair today with the thing that came with my beard trimmer- it's hard to use, because the thing doesn't have as much power as regular hair trimmers would, and it's smaller, not to mention it runs off the battery and you can't plug it in and use it- when it's plugged in, it won't turn on, but instead sits there and charges up. I should mention I only got the front of my head done- well, shorter, I'll need it shorter still and more even, but the back I didn't get to, because it ran out of power- got caught in my hair actually, and that hurt like heck.

I went to the new library that built tonight- very nice, tho I only went into the dvd/vhs/popular materials (adult fiction) area and the main area you have to walk thru to get in from the back. It's sort of laid out like a mall- in that there's a large open area and big doorway-like areas to go into different areas with particular items. They only have one checkout now, instead of the old way where they had a checkout for videos and one for everything else- that meant long lines, but probably just because it's new and all, and people are coming to check it out.

I need to go again when I have more time and check out the other areas...I felt really embarassed, because I had no idea where to check my dvd's out, and I felt dumb asking the lady at the information desk- tho, I don't know why I should have.

That GI Joe: Valor VS Venom movie was pretty good...I watched it last night- well, it was more like Wed. morning near 3:30 AM. Nice plot, some enjoyable adult-friendly humor here and there, slick animation, action and adventure, it was very well made...even if I am 25, and it's really a movie for, well, younger people.

I finished UNFIT FOR COMMAND- and it's obvious that the attacks on these guys are unfounded. O'Neill seems to be a standup guy, and no one can deny many of the things Kerry did are just completely disgraceful, and his entire career is basically a flip flop- the guy always runs as a war hero, yet he still stands by his statements and actions that the entire US military in Vietnam was wrong and corrupt and committing war crimes on a daily basis, and that he took part in those war crimes- you can't have it both ways. Yet, he somehow does...tho, in this race, the entire country is looking on him, and Americans, overall, are smart enough to see the truth. Good for our President, bad for Mr. Kerry.

I picked up that Joe Scarborough book today, and will start reading it soon...

You should check out the new Nickelodeon series- Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Funny stuff. I'm off.
