A few points.
First, John Kerry who spoke to the national guard organization and told them that the president lied to them about Iraq, he lied about this, he lied about that...he basically is putting them in harms way for a lie. BIG problem with saying this. As a member of Congress, John Kerry is endangering this nation's safety, and the safety of our military men and woman...he is also doing all he can to kill morale. This is the very essence of what is definitely un-American rhetoric. A sitting member of Congress cannot say these things, especially since his claims are based on lies backed up by NO evidence, and has been disproved by a bipartisan group.
Kerry also went on about how Bush is to blame for the troops not having body armor and goggles. This is not only a lie, but it's hysterical, considering the fact that John Kerry (who voted FOR the war) refused to vote for the necessary funding that paid for such things. He was one of a handful in congress who stooped so low as to vote against the funding, putting our troops in danger. To hear Kerry talk about funding for the troops, it's like watching a bad B-horror movie...scariest thing of all, he's actually SERIOUS and says this with a straight face!!
Secondly, the fools at moveon have a new ad out that depicts a US soldier sinking in quick sand, holding his gun above his head as if to surrender...and the word "quagmire" comes up on the screen. The voiceover says that Bush caused the quagmire that exists in Iraq, and the only way to get out of it is a new president. This is so anti-american, it's plain scary. This is like spitting on the troops over in Iraq, it's shameful, it's disgusting, it's the work of people who don't deserve the freedom they have to spread their hateful propaganda. It's a shame that our men and women have fought for the rights that these idiots abuse on a daily basis. Not only is their ad dangerous to America- it sends a terrible message to our troops in Iraq, and they're basically telling the troops risking their lives- sorry, you guys might lose. There is no quagmire...and there are numerous reports thanks to Fox News of much of the good happening in Iraq, and we've seen hundreds of troops in that nation talk about how the majority of the media have it wrong, that things aren't that bad, and that many people welcome them and thank them, etc.
Moveon is, by the way, is the group that has compared our president to Hitler...they have claimed the president lied about Iraq- tho, again, both parties looked at the Iraq war and agreed, no such lying took place, no misleading, no coercion, etc. They also compare Fox News to communist propaganda. Sad to think millions of idiotic Americans and many outside of the country even listen to anything this hateful, vitriolic group says.
