It seems Jim Rassman is a liar. The media want us to believe we are to take Rassman at his word, no matter what- because Kerry "saved his life" (so he says), but the Swift Boat Vets for Truth are not to be trusted...they are automatically treated as liars who have to PROVE what they're saying. Rassman has never been asked to prove his claims.
Rassman wrote an August 10, 2004 commentary for the Wall Street Journal. He made his mistake, showing his true nature and agenda by titling the piece "Shame on the Swift Boat Veterans for Bush." Now, we all know that the Bush campaign has not been linked to this group...one of the Bush attorneys also was asked to help these veterans with their ads- the FEC has said there is nothing wrong with this, it's totally legal and it's fine to do- no ethical problems with it at all. The NY Times linkage piece was a joke...it shows that, oh my God- no way- some of the people with this group back Republicans and some people associated with Republicans and Bush Sr. are involved with the vets as well...this is common on BOTH sides. So, there's no evidence to suggest Bush is part of this group, or that it's a Bush "front group" as the highly dishonest John Kerry claims.
Rassman is clearly a liar now...he wants to link these vets (who are merely speaking out JUST LIKE RASSMAN IS- Rassman thinks he has the right to do so, but others who fought do not.) Rassman is doing the same dishonest thing Kerry is doing...and since he's lying by calling it swift boat vets for Bush- which is an outright lie- he's proven himself a liar...which means, we can no longer simply take his word that John Kerry saved his life...nor can we automatically believe anything he says. You lie once, you're not to be trusted again- without proving what you're claiming.
It seems to me that Rassman is as big a coward as Kerry- lying to the American people is clearly a cowardly act. Funny- the man running for President this year is a liar...and the man who was in the White House 4 years ago was a liar. Both democrats, both men were opportunists who seem to want all the power they can get- I'm seeing a pattern here.
I say- shame on you, Mr. Rassman for spreading lies to the American people.
