Hateful Rhetoric from Tom Harkin

This is gonna come as a shock, I know...but, more hateful rhetoric from the left. GASP! Never!

Tom Harkin is calling Vice President Cheney a coward for not serving in Vietnam, and is saying he cannot attack Kerry on defense, because Kerry actually served. He then went on to spout off nonsense about how Cheney is tough when it's the blood of other kids being spilled and not his own.

I e-mailed Harkin, because I am sick and tired of these types of attacks. Harkin is the true coward, and he should be ashamed of himself for his irresponsible and immature comments.

One tip to Harkin before he attacks someone else and praises Kerry- John Kerry is a self described war criminal. How Cheney is a coward for not going to Vietnam, but John Kerry is a hero for violating the Geneva Convention on more than one occasion is odd. Clearly the guy isn't all there, and his comments prove as much.

DES MOINES Iowa Senator Tom Harkin says Vice President Cheney is a coward for avoiding service in Vietnam.

Harkin notes that Cheney had several student deferments that allowed him to skip serving in Vietnam.

That's why he says Cheney's criticism of presidential candidate John Kerry in Iowa this week makes his blood boil. Cheney said Kerry lacks a basic understanding of the war on terror and couldn't make America safer.

But Harkin, a former pilot in the Navy, says Cheney will act tough when someone else's blood is on the line but skipped service when it was his turn to go.

A spokesman for the Republican National Committee dismissed Harkin's criticism as -- quote -- "shrill, negative attacks."
