Proving Michael Moore is an anti-American scumbag, he's exposed ONCE AGAIN as a liar, yet refuses to admit any wrong, and refuses to apologize. He did nothing misleading? How on earth can any reasonable human being say that? He deliberately doctored a newspaper "headline" and then changed the date of the piece in the paper! That is the very definition of misleading. The mooreons who fawn over this bloated idiot need to wake up.

Moore Defends Disputed Headline
Director Michael Moore is refusing to apologize to bosses at an Illinois newspaper, who have accused him of altering a headline in his controversial film Fahrenheit 9/11. Bosses at Bloomington publication The Pantagraph say the headline, flashed briefly in the film, came from a letter to the editor about the 2000 presidential election recount but was doctored to look like a news story. Even the date was changed. The newspaper sent a letter to Moore and his production company last month that it says was lighthearted but symbolic, demanding an apology and $1 in compensatory damages. But an attorney for Moore's Westside Productions replied this week, stating that Moore violated no copyright laws and did nothing misleading. Pantagraph president and publisher Henry Bird, who directed his lawyers to send a follow-up letter asking Moore to explain why material from the paper was altered without permission, booms, "Baloney!" Westside Productions lawyer Devereux Chatillon acknowledges that Moore was two weeks off on the date of the headline, which read: "Latest Florida recount shows Gore won election." But Chatillon wrote in a letter to the paper that the mistake "did not make a difference to the editorial point... and was in no way detrimental to (The Pantagraph)".
Yeah, Michael Moore is a lying sack of shit. I watched F911 on my leave a few weeks ago. Then did a bit of digging into things on my own and found a lot of holes in the movie.
I also didn't like the way he had the camera in that woman’s face (who's son died in Iraq) as she cried her eyes out asking for her son back. That was heartless shit only used for "ratings" rather than to "inform" people....
I also didn't like "Bowling"....
WTF? Boycott Wal-Mart because the bullets that were used in the shootings were bought there?
Then why not boycott Honda, Chevy, Toyota (etc etc) whenever someone is killed in a drinking and driving accident.
I have come to the conclusion through his past 2 films that he is a money hungry individual who will stop at nothing (including falsifying information) to make a few bucks...
But then again, he's no different from right wing nut jobs like Bill O'reilly either...
heck yeah! bill oreilly is a right wing nutjob. oh wait, thats a joke to even claim such. comparing bill oreilly who isnt a liar to a proven liar, propagandist, and america-hater. let me guess, you were going for the award on who could make the dumbest statement in the post, right?

- I admit I haven't seen the film, but from what I've heard, I got the impression that he was using absurd examples like that to illustrate the hypocrisy of blaming the shootings on Marilyn Manson. Meaning, if you can correlate music to the shootings, you can just as easily correlate bullets at Wal-Mart (which donates a LOT of money to far right religious organizations, and as such, happens to be a favorite target of Moore's)
"I have come to the conclusion through his past 2 films that he is a money hungry individual who will stop at nothing (including falsifying information)"
- Ehh, at least he has a sense of humor. He doesn't pose as a "journalist" like some people.. I wouldn't recommend using his films as an exclusive source for political discourse and information, but he seems like a relatively harmless entertainer. I just can't get that upset at a guy who directed Canadian Bacon.

"comparing bill oreilly who isnt a liar"
THEN YOU SAID:
"you were going for the award on who could make the dumbest statement in the post, right?"
-I think you just took the cake.
"I admit I haven't seen the film, but from what I've heard, I got the impression that he was using absurd examples like that to illustrate the hypocrisy of blaming the shootings on Marilyn Manson"
-Maybe I missed something, but I don't find he gave that impression at all. In fact, going to Wal-Mart HQ, with one of the paralyzed kids and another who were shot in the school, in front of the press and people on the streets, in turn possibly causing large losses for Wal Mart, just to show the hypocrisy in a situation is rather reckless and selfish IMHO. There are many other ways he could have depicted the hypocrisy without ruining revenue and reputation of Wal Mart.
" I wouldn't recommend using his films as an exclusive source for political discourse and information"
-But unfortunately some people do.
"I just can't get that upset at a guy who directed Canadian Bacon."
-LOL, are you serious? I didn't know that..
It was K-Mart HQ and NOT Wal-Mart.
I've never seen vehicles shot out of a gun, so I don't think car companies should be boycotted.
Guns are used to shoot things, cars are to transport you.
