Umm...adult swim?

I woke up around 10 this morning (Tuesday)...I didn't work today, so whatever. I should mention, I have been sleeping on the floor for the past few years...I didn't have the money for a big enough bed (I'm 6'4"), and there wasn't much room for a bed anyhow. I got a king size bed two nights ago for $100...a family member of my aunt (aunt by marriage- I don't know the guy) was selling it, so I came home from work Sunday night and the bed was all set up, and they went ahead and bought me a comforter and sheets and all (blue to match the room.) That was nice, having a bed and being able to get a decent night's sleep, not having to turn over ten times a night because of the pain on my shoulders and hips and stuff from the hard floor.

So, I woke up and took the dogs outside...came back in and went into the pool a bit after this. It was probably 60 degrees...well, 60 something, and the water was FREEZING, I mean freezing to the point where my legs felt almost numb. It took me forever to get the nerve to go all the way under, because it was so friggin cold. I vacuumed the pool out, and I scooped out some stuff with the net...didn't really swim since it was so cold. Got a bit of sun and all. In the basket that sits above the filter, there were 3 HUGE flies, it was creepy-like, because they were mutant sized.

I came inside and watched some TV- mostly Fox News...and then I started unpacking boxes, took one shelf out of the closet and put my big white cabinet that holds VHS tapes in there...still need to figure out where I'm gonna put a few books and all my DVD's, not to mention some of my CD's, which I will probably put in this room (computer room, since the computer desk and all won't fit in the bedroom.) I unpacked some of the stuff that goes on this desk and just put it out, but didn't straighten it. Still have a few boxes to go thru and get stuff out.

I was driving to Arby's (and to the other house to get my other computer and some clothes- it's nearly empty), and I put Rahsaan Patterson's CD in (not sure if he has more than one CD, but it's the self titled album) and I discovered track 6, a song called COME OVER, which I have never listened to before. It's pretty good. I ended up finding another song on that CD a couple of years ago, since I mainly just listened to that one song, My Sweetheart that was all popular a few years ago. This guy sounds a lot like Babyface to me.

I've been taping that series from Canada, that now airs on Showtime Family Zone, The Zack Files- it used to come on Fox Family Channel then went away when ABC/Disney bought the channel. Anyone see that new Bravo series, Things I Hate About You? They have a couple on each show and they record their lives for two weeks, I believe, to see who is more annoying- the less annoying one wins a prize and gets to exact a punishment on the other. It was pretty funny- a couple who does a radio show together...the guy belches and farts all the time (really weird, LOUD, scary belches) and forgets everything, and the girl loves the dog WAY too much and always stresses way too much (they have another couple they know over for dinner every week, and she was acting as if it was a banquet, worrying a day in advance about every tiny little detail.) I checked out the entire series of the short lived series (from Fox, I think), The Tick (the live series, not the animated one) from the library on DVD. That and an episode of the british series, Campion which I have seen a number of copies of episodes before...I've seen the boxes, never seen the series itself.

Well, I'm gonna go watch the episode of Joe Schmo from last night that didn't tape the very end- good thing ir reruns on Tuesday night so I can see the entire episode. Bryce, the stalker, is back...creeeeeepy.

I will shut up with a quote from July 27's calendar entry from THE 365 STUPIDEST THINGS EVER SAID:

"As the ball gets softer, it loses it hardness."
sportscaster Geoff Boycott

Not a very funny quote, but it IS July 27, and I couldn't really post a quote from April, now could I?
