I think it's fairly obvious that anyone who would want to defend Saddam Hussein (in court) is insane and most likely a sympathizer of his murdererous regime. A new member of the legal team that will "defend" Hussein is the daughter of Libya's terrorist dictator, Qadaffi. The US just reestablished ties with the terrorist regime, due to Qadaffi's announcement that he will get rid of all WMD and not try to build any in the future.
This is all totally ridiculous, since the man is a known terrorist and should be removed just like Saddam himself was removed. One terrorist state is one too many, and in time- the US, along with allies who actually care about global security (ie. NOT france, germany, russia, and others), need to go into evey rogue nation and free the populations that have been held captive for years, and in some cases- many many decades. Preemption, no matter what any peace hippy spouts off with, is a good idea, and it works. It WILL work in the future, and if reason prevails, it will be put into effect time and time again, until every nation on earth is free. With freedom comes peace, and peace is not an option...it's the only option.
