Al Gore, the complete nutjob who before claimed that Bush created the entire war in Iraq for political gain (along with the usual claims that Bush lied, blah blah blah), today blamed the president for what happened at abu gharib prison in Iraq.
Very dishonest to blame the president for the actions of a few soldiers in Iraq tens of thousands of miles away. His use of this situation for political means is disgusting...just as it was disgusting when Ted Kennedy did the same thing recently. Both men, and others on the left, are playing right into the hands of the terrorists with such despicable comments.
The simple fact that Gore, who served as vice president of this nation, speaks at a gathering for a group (the extreme whackos at moveon) that compares the democratically elected president of this country to Hitler is disgusting in itself. Gore should be ashamed of himself, but we know he won't be. It's men like Gore that have caused so many to become so disallusioned with politics in general.
-------
An example of the crazy statements from Gore:
Arrogance? What about Congress who supported all of this? What about the UN that called for "Serious consequences"? What about the many nations of the world that agreed- Hussein was not complying and had to face punishment if he refused to comply in this, his "last" chance to do so?
'Insulting the religion and tradition of people in other countries'? That is completely ridiculous to even say, since no one has done any such thing.
Thousands of innocents killed because of HIS policy? Again, what about Congress who supported all of this as well? What about Clinton's attacks on Iraq- I'm sure many of the missiles he sent over (without finishing the job) killed some innocent people. Hypocritial? Of course.
Finally, Gore says Bush stirred up hornets' nest that pose no threat? Why did his man Clinton attack Iraq numerous times if there was no threat? How come the UN passed 17 resolutions that Hussein thumbed his nose at? Gore, himself, said that we MUST remove Saddam Hussein because he poses a threat!! Gore is dishonest...maybe that's why he lost the election in 2000. He couldn't even carry his own home state- maybe it's the fact that he's a liar? Possibly?
Posted by Josh at May 26, 2004 04:45 PM | TrackBackAl Gore is one the sexiest men alive next to Bill Clinton. All that Monica trash was done out of spite and jealously by other administration officals--don't hate the playa hate the game!
Posted by: Al's Mistress at May 28, 2004 01:40 PMAl Gore is a nut job and a traitor. He took illegal campaign funds and lied about it.
Posted by: John at June 15, 2004 07:40 PMDude:
FYI, Hitler's party was also democratically elected.
The prisoners at Abu Ghraib were made to strip naked, eat pork, drink liqour and denounce Islam, all of which would qualify as "insulting the religious traditions of people in other countries". Clinton attacked Iraq as part of an ongoing policy of containment, but Bush actually overthrew the leader of a sovereign nation, using what he called "A coalition of the willing" and what everyone else called "America, Great Britain and Spain"...there is a major difference there. As far as illegal campaign funds, I agree with you, Al Gore did take those funds. But "your man" Bush has thus far outed a CIA agent, lied to the United nations about WMD's in Iraq, started an illegal war, violated the Geneva Conventions, totally shredded the Constitution, etc, etc, etc.
lol.
"Bush actually overthrew the leader of a sovereign nation"
thats the funniest thing ive heard all day. next you attempt to validate the 100% "election" results for hussein.
bush outed a cia agent? funny, no one has reported any such thing...and the reports have never mentioned bush in particular. he lied about WMD? so, wait- that means that france, germany, russia, canada, and the rest of the UN body lied about wmd as well, correct? since no one disagreed hussein had weapons (the chief of inspections right now just listed more WMD found- mustard and sarin gas, etc. buried in the desert in iraq- and most experts agree- hussein probably shipped a lot of the wmd out to syria.) so, you call bush a liar, claiming he lied to the UN, yet you dont indict the UN on the same charges since the UN team headed by blix said hussein was not fully complying, and that he never accounted fro large quantities of anthrax, sarin, mustard gas, and other known WMD.
an illegal war? does the UN charter, or another chsrter of any international body make it illegal for a country to oust a dictator from another nation? in this line of thinking- the ousting of the nazi regime in germany, and the end of the communist regimes in the USSR were illegal as well, right? the campaign in the balkans, that didnt get UN approval was also illegal, correct?
bush shredded the constitution? thats so patently absurd, what could i possibly even say in response to it? and bush (everything is the fault of bush, the man himself) violated the geneva conventions? thats rather funny. i guess he, himself, was at the prison (tho i dont believe it violatred the convention to begin with)-and hes at fault for the actions of others, yes?
great logic. i mean, seriously- we all need to think like this. the world would be a better place if wed just keep thinking to ourselves- "blame america first...blame america first." keep repeating it to yourself...
Posted by: Josh Bozeman at June 25, 2004 10:48 PMAl Gore must have not taken his meds. You must excuse his strange behavior.
