Ted Rall is an idiot. In his blog, he says that President Bush wasn't elected...but appointted by a rogue Supreme Court (yeah, we know Ginsberg, who used to work for the ACLU is SUCH a right-winger!) He says Gore won the electoral vote...yet, all the major newspapers and networks went to Florida and even after counting votes for Gore that weren't clear either way, Bush STILL won. So, he's an idiot AND a liar. And he's a disrespectful little punk with his comic on Pat Tillman, calling the guy an idiot. A disrepectful, lying, idiot/punk who spouts off nonsense about a war for oil (those high gas prices are due to all that oil we went in and stole from Iraq, right?)
I am writing to every paper that runs his comic and demanding they pull it. If not, I will start an online campaign to remove this guy from every paper...we cannot reward scumbags like this.

Posted by: HOODLUMinc at May 6, 2004 07:22 AMPS: Going on that little crusade to have him taken off has as much a good chance that someone calling FOX News and demanding Bill be pulled off for being too conservative...
Posted by: HOODLUMinc at May 6, 2004 07:23 AMBut why would you want to get rid of him? His opinions are so far left, it makes for great comedy relief.
I especially like how he wants to boycott the military, then talks about regime change in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
I guess he expects the US the use bad language rather than soldiers to accomplish this task.
It's great comedy material if you don't take it too seriously. Like Bill Oreilly.

- Why don't you just stop reading it? Do you really think it's necessary to rob people of the right to choose what they can and cannot read?

- I don't know enough about Ted Rall's position on Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to defend it, but I do know that military force is not the only way to remove brutal dictators. Forming international tribunals to indict certain leaders, and publicly condemning them for crimes againts humanity can sometimes initiate internal forces that help remove dictators. I believe this method has achieved some success in places like Rwanda, if I remember correctly. Occasionally neighboring countries will also use various forms of media to help and encourage internal revolts. Also, not financially aiding the country, as I believe the US does with Pakistan, might also make a "regime change" more likely. Only after all these means have been exhausted can one say with certainty that "war is the only option."

-True

-Also true, but Tall makes no mention of such ways. Besides, any kind of US lead tribunal in the middle east now would not be taken seriously. Bush has pretty much burned every bridge behind himself in that part of the world.
