Someone on talk radio mentioned this today- I think it was Bill O'Reilly. Then, I saw the same news on Fox News Channel's Special Report with Brit Hume.
I did a bit of researching of my own, and found that the NY Times is one of the only major papers that had a negative outlook on holiday sales, and had a headline that read "Early Sales Appear Modest as Holiday Season Begins," while other major newspapers had headlines like these below:
and some notes within the articles-
The NY Times refuses to have a rosey outlook on the economy, despite the fact that every other major newspaper in this country has the opposite opinion, and the facts show some record setting sales for some companies. The NY Times proves its liberal bias once again with this story...refusing to accept the economic recovery that many are saying is a direct result from the Bush tax cuts. Their headlines during the Iraq War were nothing but doom and gloom, when other major papers were reporting good news from that country. Many pundits made comments about the difference in headlines then, and as they should- they are doing the same thing now. It's a shame that liberal leaning people in this country have to hope and pray that the economy fails and that the war in Iraq is a disaster...if not, Bush's numbers will stay steady, or possibly even rise, and they couldn't possibly let that happen. Once again, The NY Times shows that it is untrustworthy in reporting the facts. If it's not misleading headlines, it's plagarists stealing stories from other journalists...I'm just waiting to see what's next.
