Books

I checked out a few books from the library a couple days ago, and I bought two books at The Dollar General store tonight for a dollar each. I decided I wanted to share them:

Library books:
High Crimes and Misdemeanors by Ann Coulter
The Final Days: The Last, Desperate Abuses of Power by the Clinton White House
Conquering Panic and Anxiety Disorders
Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe: Working Through Social Anxiety

Books I bought:
High Lonesome Road by Betsy Thornton
Hellstorm (from the 'Talon Force' series) by Cliff Garnett

I've started reading the Ann Coulter book, and will probably read the other Clinton book next...and I'll probably need to read the anxiety books at the same time I read the first two books, because I'm a somewhat slow reader.

The two books I bought sound really good, especially Hellstorm, which I read a few pages of earlier...about some top secret government military-like agency made up of a team from various branches of the armed forces, sent out to deal with terrorism. In this book, they're dealing with a sarin gas attack in Japan that has implications in a broader attack planned for Hawaii and possibly the mainland United States.

I still have Dead Man on Campus on VHS, and I'll surely watch it a couple more times before returning it...I also got Hotel De Love from the library- a movie that I had them order actually...I've seen it numerous times on tv, and it's pretty funny.

I just tried to eat a big piece of bubble gum with nerds candy embedded in it (nerds gumballs), but it hurt my teeth on the right side. That just sucks. I like nerds...I might try to get some boxes of nerds soon.

I never mentioned before that I saw Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and I liked it a lot. I actually saw it Monday by myself, and then went again with my brother Wednesday afternoon. I thought it was awesome, even better than the original which I'm a fan of (I've got it on DVD.) Pretty scary too, and there were a couple scenes that made me jump- of course, the kind of scenes where thinks pop out of nowhere, which are fun scenes if you ask me, so I'm not sure why so many people complain about this scare tactic. What other tactic makes you jump suddenly? Nothing that I can think of. The doggy was barking like crazy a minute ago, and I was looking out the screen door to see if anything was out there, and I was so just waiting to hear the chainsaw noise and see some huge guy standing there. I'll write a review for the movie soon...I still need to write one for The Ring. I was gonna wait till I saw Ringu (the original Japanese version), but I never watched it when I got it from the library. I will soon enough tho.

I want to see Scary Movie 3...looks pretty funny, and it comes out this weekend.
