Joe Schmo, World Poker, and more

World Poker Tour on The Travel Channel wasn't very exciting tonight. They had a somewhat short round with the amateur players, then the pros played, then the winners of both faced off...I didn't even stay around till the end. O'Reilly wasn't on his show tonight, so I didn't watch that, but I watched Countdown with Olberman...well, I watched some of it. He's pretty funny, especially when he talked about catching a foul ball as a 14 year old...the same situation the guy had with the Cubs last night. I'm not sure if he was being serious or not, but it sounded real...How on earth do you crash a ferry boat, by the way? Weird.

Joe Schmo Tuesday night was tense...I wasn't sure if it was the finale or not. I checked some sites, and people were saying it was the finale, but it turns out the finale airs two weeks from this past Tuesday...Tuesday as in 2 days ago Tuesday. I'm too lazy to reach for the calendar right here to check what the finale date is. Anyhow, my heart was pounding the entire show, thinking they were going to reveal that the whole thing was a hoax...wondering how Matt would take it. For the first time, I felt bad for the guy...he's become so close to everyone in the house (well, most everyone), and now he's going to find out that their names are fake, their personas are fake, etc. Still- it's clear they have all come to care for Matt, and Matt them...and of course, we've all come to care about Matt at home too. He's just a great guy that anyone would be lucky to be around, which is the beauty of the show.

I was just dying, waiting to see what his reaction would be...but, the payoff never came, and it said 'to be continued.' I hate waiting two weeks to see the finale, but the GQ Men of the Year Awards will be in Joe's place next week. They say they want to make a second season of the show...if so, hopefully they can find someone who never knew about any of this, and they can bring the original cast back. I was actually said to see Kip go, because he's just a funny character. The Hutch is still in- and he's nearly as funny.

I added a few pieces of TV info on the Halloween page, but nothing to even check out really. I'm so lazy. I'm so going to eat some kettle corn in a second and watch...I dunno what I'll watch- maybe Threat Matrix from last week or Boomtown from 2 weeks ago...or Nosferatu which I taped from TCM...who knows.

The Cubs lost, which proves that they do not deserve a spot in the world series, which proves that the guy who caught the ball had nothing to do with anything, and those speaking harshly against him should get lives and hopefully hobbies.

I'm listening to O'Reilly's new book on CD right now...nifty.

Watched Wrong Turn last night on DVD...it was better in the theatre. All movies seem to be better in the theatre. I liked The Rookie in the theatre, but I'd probably never watch it on tv (I haven't once yet.)

Gina from The Joe Schmo Show is pretty hot if you ask me...and so is that Meena girl from Sorority Life. Black women are fine. So are brown women. I love their brownness...

I'm off...
