Curiosity Killed the Cat (the band)

I was watching Request Hour on VH1 Classic the other night...they show 80's video requests from e mails and stuff. Anyhow, some video for a song called Misfit was on. I saw the middle and the end. I was funny...the guy who was singing was all dancing at the end in some alley way with some woman (or maybe a man?) who was holding some white cards like they said something...and was flipping thru them. Tho, I never saw anything on the cards.

Anyhow, I got the band name and have been listening to a few of their songs. The band is Curiosity Killed the Cat, later changed to simply Curiosity. The 3 songs I have been listening to are- "Misfit," "Name and Number," and "Down To Earth." All really great songs. I added one of their CD's to my amazon.com wishlist so I can remember to get it (someday.)

I went to the library to return this DVD full of Billy Joel music videos the other day. It was around 5 PM. I was getting back in my car, and some lady was walking up to me, calling out to me. I walked up to her, and she told me some story about how she had a blowout and the guy wanted $25 for a tire, and all she had on her was $6...she only gets an SSI check once a month, and has no family in town, and had a seizure earlier ("see my lip," she asked), and she wanted my help. I was so scared she was going to ask for a ride. No way in hell I'm letting some strange lady in my car. She was asking for money...that's all. I told her I didn't have any money at all on me, which was true...I don't have any money period! So, good to luck getting any from me. Anyhow, it was interesting...she asked if the library was still open, and I told her it was. She went inside there as I was driving off. It's sad that you CAN'T help people...no matter how honest they sound. You can never be too safe in such situations, I guess. They could be psychotic or they could be crooks. Or they could be looking for booze money. No telling.

I never mentioned it before, but I met some girl online and met her offline. I went over to her apartment on campus the other night (Friday) and we went out to some pizza place with another girl and this Rob guy. I came back the next night too. It was fun. Very nice people...very cool people. Plus, on the second night I was talking to this Brandon guy who I was joking around with a lot of the night. He's pretty cool too. I also made it clear there isn't much I WOULDN'T do for half of Bill Gates' fortune! I was trying to hit on Stephanie, Kristy's (the girl I met online to begin with) roommate. Now, I think she's scared of me, even if Kristy says she isn't!
