More Hollywood idiots spouting off! Is anyone else sick of these fools? Harrison Ford runs off to France, and while there attacks the United States (Indiana Jones is a pussy, so he has to leave the continent to talk shit), Spielberg talked shit (the most overrated director to ever live...he's really not the god people make him out to be!), Sean Penn- well, Sean Penn is just clueless. He goes over and sucks Hussein's you know what in person, then bashes the U.S. while he's there. George Clooney did it, Susan Sarandon and her no career husband Tim Robbins did it...now, Johnny Depp has done it.
Depp, who lives in France, said this of the United States: "America is dumb, is something like a dumb puppy that has big teeth — that can bite and hurt you, aggressive."
Okay...first of all, who in the world taught this idiot how to talk? America is like a "dumb people that has big teeth."? Can this guy be serious? If you're going to talk shit about your native country, at least talk like you have some sense!
The French...the cowards of the world, who refused to get involved in Iraq...the worldwide cowards who refused to get involved in WWII!! (have to clarify myself here for the slow ones- the french surrendered like pansies, and went on to aid the germans- that's what i call not getting involved in the allied fight against hitler) The country that refused to fight Hitler! I think it's rather funny that he's speaking out against the U.S. while praising his new home, especially given their record on international affairs.
Frankly, I'm sick of these wimps going overseas and spouting off with their oh-so-poetic ramblings about how bad their own country is. Here's an idea- stop being chicken shit, and come back to the states and say what you have to say. Better yet, wake up to what the rest of us are telling you guys- we don't care. None of us care what you fools in Hollywood have to say about international affairs. Why? Because none of you are smart enough. So, do us a favor and shut it up for good. Make your boring movies and go back to the mansion...just stop what you're doing, because all of you are hurting your careers. I won't see a movie with Clooney anymore, nor will I see a movie with Depp from this point on. I'm not alone in feeling that way...and soon, your careers will be over and done with, because you couldn't learn to shut up.
By the way, when is the ever annoying Garafalo going to crawl on glass to apologize for saying that the war in Iraq wouldn't be won, like she said she would if she were proven wrong?

- France did in fact fight in WW2. They entered the war in 1939 after Germany invaded Poland.
- The U.S., on the other hand, entered the war in 1941, a full TWO YEARS AFTER France, when they were attacked by the Japanese.
- So basically, France got involved in the war to help Poland, while the U.S. sat around and did nothing until they were bombed.
- If you actually took the time to read a history book, you wouldn't make embarassing mistakes like this. I expect you'll get right to work correcting the historical innacuracy on your page..
Posted by: lowdown at September 4, 2003 08:15 AMMy guess is that Josh will come here and call you either "silly" or "ignorant to the facts" and claim the US was in the war way before anyone else was....
And Josh, since when were you such a freedom hating communist? Bashing France for using their democratic right not to join the war? Tisk tisk..
Posted by: HOODLUMinc at September 4, 2003 10:01 AMYou know what Josh, you don't seem like the kind of guy who should be living in the USA. You seem more suited to live in a country like China or North Korea. They look up to people who would feel the need to lash out and hurt those who insult their governments.
THe USA is too free for you. You obviously would rather live in a controled, closed, totalitarian society where bashing your government holds some sort of penalty.
Posted by: HOODLUMinc at September 4, 2003 10:12 AMI'm beginning to feel sorry for him. Maybe we should just let the poor guy be.
There there Josh, you're right, the french never got involved in ww2, you can trust O'Reilly, the Islamic faith is a global threat, the UN is anti-Isreal, it's impossible for homosexuals to have sex, it'll be ok...
Posted by: lowdown at September 4, 2003 10:48 AMthanks, but im not an idiot. france did get involved in 1939, as did great britain and australia (and a cpl other nations i think)...but, as you know the french surrendered and in the end should have just called their country little germany, since they basically did all they could to AID the germans.
clearly, they didnt do too much to FIGHT HITLER.
Posted by: Joshua Taj Bozeman at September 4, 2003 03:16 PM"(have to clarify myself here for the slow ones- the french surrendered like pansies, and went on to aid the germans- that's what i call not getting involved in the allied fight against hitler)"
Now now Josh, don't resort to cheap shots. You screwed up. You were wrong. Don't try and save face and reserve dignity by calling us slow....it just makes you look like a moron.
I'm not against you. I enjoy a good debate now and then, and apparently you supply me with just that....
Don't start with the low blows when we correct you now.
And for the most part, the French didnt support the Germans. There was the underground resistance.
Besides with tactics like if a German soldier was killed, German soldiers would kill 10 people, it's kind of hard not to subcumb to your occupiers...
Don't be ignorant. The French never enjoyed the Nazi occupation, and rejoiced at being liberated.
Yoy also forgot to mention Canada you bum! We did more in the war than Australia ever did! (but thats aside the point, I know)
Posted by: HOODLUMinc at September 4, 2003 04:48 PMumm no. i wasnt wrong. im not ignorant. the french surrender faster than they can say oui or whatever other short french word you can come up with.
they didnt do much to fight hitler and the americans bailed them out. weve bailed them out a number of times actually. so, i was far from wrong. if you call getting involved, delcaring war and then chickening out and running...well, so be it. i dont.
Posted by: Joshua Taj Bozeman at September 4, 2003 05:05 PM"france did get involved in 1939"
- Then why did you say they didn't? Am I a "slow-one" for not understanding that "refused to get involved" actually meant "surrendered"?
"if you call getting involved, delcaring war and then chickening out and running...well, so be"
- It's still better than not doing nothing at all until your own country is bombed, isn't it?
"and the americans bailed them out. weve bailed them out a number of times actually"
- The Americans only went to war when they were bombed, what makes you think they cared about "bailing out" anybody?
- If it wasn't for the French, the American army might not have beat the British during the American Revolution, so you kinda owe them.
(link:http://americanhistory.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flssar.org%2Flafayett.html)
"clearly, they didnt do too much to FIGHT HITLER"
- Josh, tell the families of the estimated 11,0000 french troops who died in WW2 while the U.S. did NOTHING, that they "didn't do too much to FIGHT HITLER". I'm serious. Look them up and e-mail them. I'm really curious what their response will be.
Posted by: lowdown at September 4, 2003 06:32 PM"umm no. i wasnt wrong. im not ignorant. the french surrender faster than they can say oui or whatever other short french word you can come up with."
Any country in the situation France was in would have surendered as well.....
What about all the other countries that fell to the German war machine? Why not insult them to?
Whats the matter Josh, do you not really know what happened? Are you spewing some right wing crap you heard on Fox Frends? Come on...educate me....
I studies 20th century history out of my ass, so you have a worthy opponent to go up against here..
As Monsignor Renard once said,
"'Each of us has choices to make? he (Hubert) saw the France he knew and loved and fought for as defeated. He was wrong. We have signed an armistice, but I say to you again, France is not defeated. What is France? Words on a treaty? Lines on a map? France is her people. The people are France. The flame of liberty that burns in every French breast can never be extinguished. Never."
The French people didnt give up against the Germans. They faught in an underground resistance, using geurilla tactics, killing many hundreds of Nazi troops.
Why don't you mention Denmark, Norway, Poland, Belgium?
Why not imclude the Nazi/Soviet Pact (a real hit to the allies. The Soviets gave in to the Nazis to preserve their country to prepare for war)
Why do you now mention all those countries who had to surender to the Nazi war machine? Why? Because you are trying to prove a futile point that the french are cowards, when they have been through more than the USA ever has in terms of war.
World War one and World War two, France got the shit end of the stick, being invaded and having the majority of the battles faught on their soil.
What do you expect them to do? WHat do you expect them, beyond all other countries invaded by Germany, to do? Really. Rell me. Don't dodge the question.
"they didnt do much to fight hitler and the americans bailed them out."
Typical American propaganda/Bullshit.
Canada, USSR, USA, New Zeiland and Australia helped liberate France. It was a combined effort, no matter what any Fox news spokesperson wants to tell you. If it wanst for the allies, the US would have been a slaughter, and vice versa.
And for the record, it was the USSR that liberated Paris and ultimately pushed the German forces back...not the USA.
Read the history books again. They will back me up beyond anyting FOX news will.
"weve bailed them out a number of times actually."
Really? When? Please give dates and situations, otherwile we win again.
"so, i was far from wrong."
Says you, and every history book ever written...
"if you call getting involved, delcaring war and then chickening out and running...well, so be it. i dont."
They didn't chicken out and run, they built the Maginot Line. One of the world most powerful defensive systems. The Germans played it smart though, and invaded through Belgium, completely going around the French defences after they declaired war on Germany.
The French commanders basically put all their eggs in one basket, and when it failed, it crippled the Fench army's ability to counter attack the German invasion.
Did you know that? It doesn't look like it.
You can go an update you site with the correct information we provided you, again, and call is slow to give you the ego boos you apparently need, but anyone with half a mind reading this already knows what kind of idiot you are.
But thats just my 0.02 cents.
PS, without us, your site wouldn't be anything more than a bullshit rant in the middle of cyberspace. Be gratefull you have us to educate youe viewers.
"Says you, and every history book ever written..."
I supposed to read: "Says you, contrary to every history book ever written"
Posted by: HOODLUMinc at September 4, 2003 06:55 PMlol. more comedy. i love the stuff about i must have heard that on fox friends. whatever fox friends is. can we please bring fox news into more debates? because it shows...wait, it shows nothing.
we havent bailed the french out? WWI and WWII, very big conflicts id say.
of course the US didnt get involved. we didnt become the super power we are today UNTIL we got involved with WWII. why the hell would we get involved with military campaigns across the atlantic? the french are famous for surrendering. we all know that. so, whats the argument here?
the point is...its cowardly to bash your govt all the time, JUST to bash them. depp had no reason to spout off with that nonsense (a dog with teeth? come on! thats laughable)... he did so, because its become somewhat chic to do so in hollywood. come over HERE and say it while youre actually in the states. i think you both are from canada...so, let me know when canadian celebs go overseas and bash your country nonstop. i wont apologize for loving my country andnot bashing it. i will say that those who bash it are free to do so, and im free to boycott their movies because theyre idiots.
btw. hood my friend. you cant even spell 'away' or, well, half of the words in the english language. so i really wouldnt be calling anyone an idiot. just a tip for ya.
Posted by: Joshua Taj Bozeman at September 4, 2003 08:33 PM"we havent bailed the french out? WWI and WWII, very big conflicts id say."
Good F*&^ing god, would you please pull your head out of your ass as to have a normal debate? Please? Just once?
WW1 and WW2 was a combined effort. the USA would have been slaughtered had they gone it alone, and the same for anyone else had they gone it alone. The USA didn't bail anyone out. France was liberated by many countries. Stop ignorantly taking full credit. You look like an idiot.
Do you really think the USA could have stormed the beaches of France without the help of the UK/Canada/Australia? I don't. They dont. General Eisenhower wasn't even sure the combined effort was going to work, let alone a solo mission. He had his military career riding on the success of the invasion.
"the point is...its cowardly to bash your govt all the time, JUST to bash them."
Really? I call it democratic, but I have a funny way of mixing up freedom of speech with democracy...silly me I guess...
"depp had no reason to spout off with that nonsense"
Neither do more than half the conservative thinkers who spout out at Liberal protests and meetings, but thats what democracy is all about. Maybe you should move to China.....
"he did so, because its become somewhat chic to do so in hollywood."
Or maybe because the majority in Hollywood don't agree with what their administration is doing? Ever think of it that way? Of course you didnt....
"come over HERE and say it while youre actually in the states. i think you both are from canada...so, let me know when canadian celebs go overseas and bash your country nonstop."
They have no reason to. Our government doesnt get itself into messes like the US government does...
"i wont apologize for loving my country andnot bashing it."
I don't expect you to apologize for loving and defending your country. I would do the same, but you can't be so cloised minded as to think everything your government does is great, and everyone else is wrong. Do a little independant research, and you will see what I mean.
PS, I don't really care what you think of my spelling. I already explained it to you, and quite frankly, I don;t really care. You obviously get the point I'm trying to make.
Posted by: HOODLUMinc at September 4, 2003 08:53 PMPS(2): Your spelling is not top notch either....(said the pot to the kettle)
Posted by: HOODLUMinc at September 4, 2003 08:55 PM"of course the US didnt get involved. we didnt become the super power we are today UNTIL we got involved with WWII." why the hell would we get involved with military campaigns across the atlantic?"
- I guess the murder and persecution of millions of jews didn't "move you", eh? But the it's the french who are cowards..
- Tell me, why the hell did you get involved in Iraq? Isn't that a military campaign "across the atlantic"?
"the french are famous for surrendering. we all know that. so, whats the argument here? "
- Josh, for future reference, "WE ALL KNOW THAT" is NOT an argument. And I don't see how the french are "famous" for surrendering. In fact, one of the principal causes of WW1 was that the French wanted revenge on Germany for the Franco-Prussian war. They sound pretty persistent to me. Plus, I don't recall them surrendering to the British when they were helping the US in the American Revolution.
"so, whats the argument here?"
- The argument is that you said they weren't involved in ww2 and that they were cowards. We've both offered you tons of evidence to the contrary, and you still can't admit to a simple mistake.
"come over HERE and say it while youre actually in the states. i think you both are from canada..."
- Actually, plenty of celebs have trashed Bush in the U.S. I just reading a quote about Bush by Edward Norton that appeared in the New York Post. I believe Norton said he had "a low quality mind." Incidentally, Norton is a Yale graduate and probably knows more about world history and foreign policy then either you or Bush, so I think it's only natural for him to be critical of his current government.
"let me know when canadian celebs go overseas and bash your country nonstop. i wont apologize for loving my country andnot bashing it."
- Your confusing "country" with "government". I noticed some of the celebs used those terms intechangeably aswell, and they shouldn't have. I love my country, but if my government did something I didn't like, I'd criticize them too. If people aren't smart enough to criticize their government, they how can they possible be able to vote for them.
"i will say that those who bash it are free to do so, and im free to boycott their movies because theyre idiots"
- Yes and we're free to explain to you that democracy wouldn't work if people didn't question their governements. You can disagree with people, but bashing them for simply stating their opinion is irresponsible.
- So I take it you won't be e-mailing all the families of the french troops who died in world war 2 and telling them that they didn't do much to fight Hitler?
Posted by: lowdown at September 5, 2003 04:39 PMwhat the fuck are you talking about, France didn't help the Germans at least not wilingly. the najority of France hated the germans. do you know what it was like living in France? NO im guesisng your what a teenager? by the trash and childish comments you write.
Did you ever see your friends crucified outside your damn school, what about the French Ressistance? i guess that was pretty cowardly? jeez youve just dug yourslef the biggest hole
whatever, i think you should think before you speak next time young man, and then think about the 40 million who died in ww2 and all the sons and daughters who never returned to their mothers arms....
