Boston Public- someone end it!

I just saw the preview of the season premiere episode of Boston Public. Some teacher sees what she says was a rape...the girl says it wasn't, that she likes it rough...the teacher goes to the police, even tho the girl keeps saying it wasn't rape. Then, the girl confronts the teacher, asking her 'how could you do this to me?'

Now, that would work as an episode of a tv series...yes. But- anyone watch this show? Before the show even aired one episode of its first rseason, they couldn't decide whether it was a drama or a comedy...or both. One ad would portray the show as Fox's new hit high school drama...the next would make it out to be big time drama in a tough high school.

The episodes (I have seen) are like this too...some are very comedic, all nice stuff...and then some are nonstop mayhem. And, how on earth do this many bad things happen at one school? You'd think this was the worst school in the country...probably the world! To the writers of this show- make up your minds! And, ontop of that, get real! Only so many bad things can happen to one school...the writing is getting very very ridiculous.

This used to be a good show, but I had to stop watching when there was always a shooting, and a rape, and an abusive mother, and this and that..on and on and on.

When will the suits get it right with television? Maybe they do have it right- that god awful piece of crap show, Friends is one of the most popular shows ever, even tho none of the cast should have ever been allowed into Hollywood to begin with.

Do a little research, those situations portrayed on the show are not half as bad as some schools.

Many US public schools have turned into warzones complete with armed guards and "undercover" students.

Heck, I went to an adult ed school for a course I needed for college, and later found out a friend I knew who was a student there was actually an undercover cop who was following a group of students who were selling drugs in the school.

"When will the suits get it right with television?"

You lived a very sheltered life didn't you? The suites did in fact get it right. Inner city public schools are just like that.

12 year olds bringing in automatic weapons in their lunch boxes are not rumors you know, they are things that go on in places like that.

In a school with 10,000 students, a shooting, a rape and an abusive mother are very common. Not everyone is walking down the halls with smiles and apples for the teacher you know.

Welcome to reality.

what on earth are you talking about a school of 10, 000?!!

have you seen boston public? that school has become the world biggest soap opera. even critics have complained that the plotlines are getting silly.

of course there are bad schools out there, but this show has just become ridiculous in its stories.

Josh i would have to disagree with you on that.. cause i think that Boston Public talks about all the issues that's going on out in the world that no other show dares to even talk about.. I watch that show.. and unless you can understand what they are trying to accomplish then don't put it down.. just because you don't understand why they are talking about the issues that they are talking about .. doesn't mean it's a bad show.. the story lines and the actors and actresses are great and i must say that alot of things that they show are for the most part what's going on in our schools now and days.

Do any of you that make posts live in or near Boston? There are bad things that happen in the public schools, but they aren't quite to the degree that has been portrayed in the show. Some events are more likely to occur then others.
