December 10, 2003-

I have noticed a couple news items lately. America's internet movie database information has been updated, and it shows her new movie and her new HBO series (I'm not totally sure if the fast food thing will be a regular series or what. Here are the links for now...I will get more information and make this look better tomorrow- too tired right now.

Also, I got this picture from someone who works in the area where America is shooting her newest movie.

As you can see, I blocked out the faces of the girls, in case they don't want their picture all over the net...so, don't worry, America isn't surrounded by wanted felons or anything.

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

$5.15/HR. (HBO) - William Lee Scott ("October Sky") and America Ferrera ("Real Women Have Curves") are set to topline the pay channel's comedy pilot from director Richard Linklater ("Slacker") which focuses on the colorful employees at Grammaw's Home Cookin, a chain restaurant. Scott will play a naive and idealistic graveyard-shift bus boy while Ferrera will play a young waitress and devout Christian in the project, which is currently filming in Linklater's home town of Austin, Texas. Also cast are Mitch Baker as the restaurant's devoted night manager, Missy Yager ("Boston Public") as a quick-witted waitress and Bill Wise as the assistant manager. Clark Middleton ("Bail Jumper") and Retta ("Slackers") are also among the ensemble however their roles are not known.

November 5, 2003- America is starring in a new movie called How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer, now filming in Somerton, Arizona. Here is an article about the film. There is a small picture of America in that article, but it's from somewhat far away. I also found out that America was a guest star on the PBS series, American Family, in an episode called The Fighting Fridas. She played on an all girls football team in the episode. More information on the movie and her appearance in the series when I get it.

America will also appear in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie listed in the films section. I will try to find out when it airs and post it here on the site.
